Lachlan and Charles helped me clean up two years worth of overgrowth in my backyard in one day! From the moment I called Joe Bob Garden Service to inquire about a quote, I was impressed by Lachlan's personable and professional communication. I should also say that I was surprised that he was so responsive given that I had previously called several other 5 star-rated gardening and landscaping services and ended up leaving many messages just to get someone to respond to my request for a quote. I know everyone is working on their yards during covid, so landscaping services are hard to book, but I had no problem with Lachlan! He was prompt and came over to assess my yard and then followed up with a detailed quote over text. Lachlan's quote was almost half as much as another quote I got and the lowest quote of all the ones I received, and all without having to chase people down for estimates! I was able to schedule something earlier than I had expected, which worked out great since I was hoping to host people in my yard soon. Perhaps what I appreciated the most was Lachlan and Charles's down to earth and considerate approach to working with their clients. I never felt like Lachlan was trying to up-sell me or recommend services I didn't need. He was very honest and when I asked about a particular issue I was interested in addressing, he told me up front that that was not something he specializes in but that I could try calling so-and-so company and ask for a referral. As an example of his thoughtfulness, Lachlan came to check in with me before cutting back some blackberry bramble that was part of the job scope, and mentioned that it looked like blackberries would come in in just a couple of weeks. He wanted to see if I might want to harvest the blackberries first since their looked to be a bountiful amount, or if he should go ahead and cut them back. Because of this chat, we ended up harvesting bowls full or delicious blackberries and will cut back the bramble at another time. Charles also made some helpful observations about some trees in the yard and that led to us making more informed decisions about how to maintain our walkway. By the end of the day, I had my backyard back and I was so happy! The state of my backyard was really weighing on me and was a big source of stress. After Lachlan and Charles' hard work, I felt so much better. As Lachlan knowingly identified, it helped me feel a lot "lighter," and I've had several people over since! Moreover, Lachlan was able to help connect me with someone to help with a separate backyard job that another gardening service wanted over 800$ to fix. I ended up getting it fixed for 125$ by Lachlan's connection, who also sanded down a gate and fixed the locking hardware for no extra charge! I'm definitely saving Lachlan's number in my cell for my future gardening and landscaping needs. I needed some major work done in my yard and called Joe Bob garden service after finding them on Yelp. I spoke with the owner on the phone and arranged to get an estimate the next day. The next day measurements were taken, we went over materials and my ideas for the yard were discussed. Shortly after that, I received my estimate and the work was started. The crew brought all their own tools (a much more extensive set than my own) and worked hard over the next several days. Each day the crew arrived on time and cleaned up before they went home. First, Lauchlan listens to you and makes good suggestions which I appreciated. Lauchlan and his team were very prompt and did an excellent job of removing dead trees and bushes from my back garden, they also weeded, put down fabric weed barrier and covered all with a nice mulch. Lauchlan also took us to the commercial nursery where we picked out 35 gallon pots of grasses which they planted alongside a 100ft long fence and then covered around all the plants with mulch, this will make our neighbors so happy as they will now enjoy seeing the grasses blowing in the wind rather than just naked dirt. I hired Lauchlan (Joe Bob Garden Service) to clean up one side of my front yard that was overgrown with old (45 year old) Juniper bushes. I could not get them myself as I needed a chainsaw to get the branches out; the branches were too thick for my gas powered edger and tree trimmer. I called around to several places, and Lauchlan was incredibly responsive through both the phone calls, check in texts, and the day of. They were able to get out to complete the work within 2 weeks, and did the project on time and under budget, which included hauling the old bushes to the landfill.
