Our project had a few unique challenges, and with an active dog, busy household, and a yard that was taken over weeds, we wanted something that is low maintenance but also aesthetically pleasing. Edy gave some ideas and even came out for an extra site visit to make sure we were aligned before work began. His crew was incredible and completed the entire project in just 2 days, instead of the 3 that were estimated. It included irrigation, flagstones, gravel, and sod. When I bought my home a little over 2 years ago, the yard was very overgrown with native plants. I hired someone to clean up the yard and trim some trees and I was happy for awhile but then everything started growing back, weeds, plants, and then I started noticing all these gopher mounds everywhere. I decided it was time to make my yard my own, so I began looking for a landscaper to help me with this. My nextdoor neighbor gave me Edy's number and he offered to come by the next day for an estimate. right away, I felt comfortable with him, he is very easy to talk to and is very patient answering all questions. I had two other landscapers come in the following days and decided to go with Edy because I knew that he would be easy to work with. And I was right because I changed my mind so many times about what plants I wanted, whether I wanted gopher netting, what trees I wanted, etc. But never once did he get impatient with me, which I really appreciated. I ended up having Edy and his crew install gopher netting in my front and side yards, plant three new trees, and plant a bunch of groundcover and a lot of new california native plants around the property. They also reused some large stones from the yard and made a pathway on the side yard. The whole job took 5 days and every day Edy's crew showed up on time and worked really hard, and were very respectful of my property. Edy showed up every day and also stayed on a few days to help his guys do the work. Everything turned out great. There were a couple things that needed to be fixed after a couple weeks had gone by, but Edy was very prompt to come and fix the issues. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any landscaping job. He gave me a decent quote on fixing the stone walkway heading up to the front door, which had cracked in several places and he made sure the work looked great. Edy and his team did a wonderful job making over our backyard. We've lived in our house for 8 years, and while we had visions for how we wanted the large backyard, we weren't able to invest in the yard until this year. Edy was one of 5 businesses we got quotes from, but from the start, even during the initial meeting and estimates stage, he was my prefered contractor. When he came out to assess our yard, he was friendly and listened openly to all my ideas and thoughts. Unlike some other contractors who shut down some of our ideas, Edy was attentive and open to everything we were wanting. He also had an attention to detail I didn't see in other contractors, which at these initial phases came out in him asking about our preferences and making suggestions for blindspots I'd had in the project. He was prompt in getting a quote back for us and was able to start the project that following week. He was very kind in thoroughly answering all my questions on his project proposal and accommodating in his willingness to work with us on how to cut down a bit on costs where we needed to. He never was shaming or condescending when we had to scale back or adjust because of costs. His team was prompt to arrive each day of the project and clearly were hard workers as they were able to demo our yard of jungle weeds in just over a day rather than the estimated 3 days. Edy was there the first day and at least stopped by most days when he wasn't out there working alongside them. He was very easy to communicate with and always promote to respond. When one day I noticed his guys had started something differently than the plans, he was fast to act to clear up the miscommunication and was there within an hour to clear everything up and get the correction underway. I also saw his attention to detail in the quality of his work as he meticulously laid our brick pathway himself and I saw them measure, measure again, and level numerous times throughout laying the brick. In the end, the project was wrapped up in just under 3 weeks, even after there was a procurement challenge in getting the plants for our lawn alternative, and they were completely finished 2 days before my baby was born. Perfect timing! Edy was so kind in giving the tutorial on how to work the sprinkler/drip system and even said he'd come back to adjust the settings for us as the seasons changed. A few weeks later when I had an issue with one sprinkler's water coverage, he was still fast to respond and quick to come out within a day to check on it, even though the project was done and he'd moved onto other jobs. Someday when we're ready to do our front yard and likely when we can redo our back deck, we'll go to Edy first. Without doubt, I'd absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a beautiful yard project, easy contractor communication experience, and a very fair, affordable price range! Now we have a BEAUTIFUL yard I'd been dreaming of since we bought our home! We spend most days outside with my toddler and baby, and we've already enjoyed hosting a few parties out back.
