This has been our go-to spot over the years. We stopped briefly as it appeared to be a chef change and it wasn't the same. But recently they are back at the top of their game. Pizza is well done, nice and cheesey brown. Delicious! Sauce doesn't taste fake. Fast delivery, great service! However, the BEST THING ON THEIR MENU is NOT pizza....it's their Cannoli Chipwiches!!! FRESH baked chocolate chip cookies sandwiched with cannoli cream! Absolutely amazing! This is a takeout place and I can't believe I haven't ordered anything from here in years. Hubby frequents this place in between runs with other bus drivers. He got himself a meatball Parmesan hero and brought home some meatball sliders on a garlic knots for me to try. The sliders are amazing The meatballs and sauce are delicious which is the most important thing. We look forward to ordering more food from this place. The service is great and Joe is super nice. Their website, which is very well organized, indicates you can request it either by a phone-in order or an online order. The food is good, the customer service is great. You have a lot of options for pizza, both as specialty pizzas or create your own. You can also add or subtract from other items such as salads or wraps. There's quite a few sides too, and I really liked the mozzarella sticks. The pizza itself is pretty standard, with a fairly thick crust, so it's no surprise they offer Sicilian pizza too. My second order was even better. This time, I got what will probably become my go-to order, their Margherita Pizza - you want to specify a thin crust for this for more authenticity. The fresh tomatoes on it make it really juicy. Their zucchini fries are quite crisp and "meaty," which can be challenging for zucchini fries. Since moving to Staatsburg a couple of years ago we have been picking up a pizza from JC's once a week. It has been pretty good---crust is firm, crispy and light, sauce is decent and just the right amount of cheese. The past 3 times have not been satisfactory at all. The quality just isn't there, it's as if the person that previously made the Pizza no longer does or perhaps management has changed. Most recently, the Pizza from last night was doughy and loaded with unmelted excessive cheese. We will give this place one more chance in hopes that it can return to being one of the better Pizzerias in the area. read more

It's all about the crust...and many pizza places miss the last 30 seconds in the oven that would make this pizza over the top! This was a good dough and good toppings...but they didn't give us crushed peppers or ask if we wanted them. On a recent trip to Hyde Park, to visit my in-laws, we ordered ahead from Joe Cristiano's Pizza and picked it up on the way to the house. The order was hot and ready when we arrived and the service was pleasant. I noticed that the dining area is small but tidy, probably best not to plan on eating in with a group. We brought the food two minutes down the road and dug in. All of the food was good, not exceptional but a very good meal. The pizza wasn't overly greasy, the meatballs were well seasoned, the macaroni and cheese was very creamy, and the chicken tenders were crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. This was my first time ordering from Joe Cristiano's Pizza when visiting my in-laws but I would definitely do it again. read more

I'm so annoyed! I don't think I will ever order anything from this place ever again. Every once in a while I will order a spinach roll. The first time I had one, it was out on their display counter with the already made pizza slices. I wanted to try something new. They also had pepperoni rolls but I went for the spinach since I've never had one before. it and it was pretty good. So now and then, I will order a spinach roll. I will also add they also happen to charge me different prices every time as well, anywhere from $4-$8.... Pretty weird and annoying as you can imagine. Well we just ordered lunch a little while ago and I ordered a spinach roll and my husband goes to pick it up and there's all this burnt breaded chicken all over it???? I'm not happy. My husband calls them and they of course the same guy that took the order says it always comes with chicken. Why lie? What's the motive behind lying? I've never had a spinach roll with chicken! WTF? What is wrong with these people? I hate when places like this take no responsibility for their mistakes! So of course my husband has to now take it back. I don't even want them to make me a new one. My Firefighter I class ordered an ungodly amount of pizza to celebrate the completion of the course. I was absolutely AMAZED by the gluten free pizza. It came with its own, plastic wrapped disposable cutter! It was the best pizza I've had since my Celiac diagnosis, and all it had was cheese and pepperoni! That, and my stomach didn't get sick. I ordered for my family last night and it was my girlfriends birthday. I took an hour and a half for a delivery of make you own pizza kit. I called to speak to a manager. His name is Lyle, whom was the most disrespectful and rudest person I've dealt with. I had a prior issue with a wrap being cold and I believe it was the same manager I dealt with in the past. I order from this restaurant 3 to 4 times a week. That should tell u how much I used to love this place. Unfortunately the service from the manager is to the point I'll never order there again. I spend approx. 100 to 150 weekly. I was hung up on 3 times by Lyle and finally spoke to a young woman Anna. She was so kind a receive a raise. However. I cancelled my order due to the hour and a half of waiting when I was told 45 minutes. My money didn't mean nothing to the way this manager talked to me. Unfortunately he puts out a face for the business which lost me as a customer and I will never order there again. Tried to ask to speak to the owner and was told good luck. So that told me the owner accepts this behavior. Good luck and I have to file a claim to get my money back because I never received my good. How selfish can a business be and care about the community which they live. So upset about this. read more

Having moved to NY from VA about nine months ago, I figured I was in for some tasty, tasty pizza. Unfortunately, until we found Joe Cristiano's, most of the pizza we'd had was pretty ho-hum. Joe Cristiano's is solid, consistent, and always on time. All the ingredients are fresh, and after having a few pizzas with canned green peppers from T & F, this made a huuuuge difference. Comparing it to one of the big pizza chains, I'd say it's kinda like Papa John's in terms of ingredient quality and crust style. Unfortunately, all I've had from their menu is a few pizzas - it looks like there's a lot more that they make (hot subs, calzones, the usual from a good pizza joint), so I have no idea if those are good or not, but I'd be willing to give 'em a shot. read more

We stopped in for a couple slices, and to share an Eggplant Parm Hero. With 2 soft drinks it came to $17.00 or so. I thought the price was pretty good. The food was really good. My wife's buffalo chicken pizza was basically begging me to try it. The Sicilian slice I had was nice and fluffy. The eggplant parm was good. All in all, I'm going back. Delivery came on time despite being Super Bowl Sunday but wings smelled like it was fried in rancid oil and fries were packed with no air filter to prevent sogginess which I specifically asked them to do and was told they did. Pizza is good and even better when reheated in the oven. Highly suggest owner or manager to check oil as often as possible. Fryer station can be the most neglected station but should be the most important since it brings in the money and can be costly when treated incorrectly due to constant oil turnover. read more
