People on here complaining about the size of a slice are missing the point or don't have taste buds. The pizza at Stone's uses ingredients that are of such higher quality than most "slice joints" and their process is top notch. 48 hour fermentation of dough, no cheap seed oils, high quality cheese, non bleached flour, etc. The quality of ingredients and process shows in the final result, and even though it may be a little pricier for a pie than many places, the flavor and quality is light years ahead of most places. I also like that the menu is simple: make a few things and make them well, and you have my business. I've also done a number of large orders (6-8 pies) in the past few months, and they are so nice and hospitable; everyone who works there is just really great in my experience. On the inside, it's a small spot, but it's super clean with a few tables, while you watch them bustling behind the counter. I came in the other day to grab a slice and watch the World Cup action on the TV, which was extra awesome. It's in a funny location on 9D on the way into Wappingers, but the sign caught my eye - glad I pulled in as it's my new favorite pizza spot in the HV. Keep it up Stone's! read more

I thought I was in a Dollar slice place in the Bronx, kind of pathetic for this area where most slices are twice the size. It was also a bit over cooked. Frank Pepe's can get away with it. Stone Pizza has become one of my go-to spots. The slices are legit NYC quality but the Sicilian squares pies? Unreal. You can tell the dough is taken seriously here- it's fermented for days and always perfect. The owners are super cool, too. The menu is thoughtful and creative. My personal favorite is the cheesesteak pie from the "secret menu." Sounds insane but order it anyway. I struggle just following them on social media because this pizza has become my weakness. read more

This is the pizza shop I'll probably be loyal to while living in dutchess county at this point. I'm spoiled that it's down the street and damn man. I go 2 times a month and always happy. It put their slices up against anything in NYC, New Haven, and Jersey lol. I have yet to order a pie and typically stop over in the afternoon for 2-3 specialty slices. I love the marinara, vodka sauce, and pesto thin slice as well as the pan or Detroit style. Their crust is amazing, sauce delicious, and any meat addition sublime. In all my years of teaching in the city, I can't say I've ever had the chance to support any of my students' family businesses- until now. When one of the parents in my class shared that she and her husband were opening a pizza shop in Wappingers Falls, NY, I was hyped for them from the start. I've been meaning to come here, but once I'm on the west side of the Hudson River where I live, errands take over and home pulls me back before I can make the stop. So It's been tough to make a trip here to this side of the Hudson. So I found the next best way to show my support: order pizza for my class for a pre end-of-year class party made with love by my student's dad and delivered to my classroom by the child's mom. It felt great repping a family that's out here building something real. This is the pizza everyone likes to talk about- in a good way. The crust is chewy with those perfect little golden charred spots- just enough to give it flavor without burning it. The cheese is melty and rich, but it doesn't weigh down the crust. And the tomato sauce? Spot on. Tangy, fresh, slightly seasony- which I usually dislike- but theirs was so right. Honestly, it all just hits. My student's parents have a great thing going. Service? Fabulous! In the end, the student's parents gifted the class three plain cheese pies and I was genuinely moved by their generosity. And my students enjoyed the pizza! Absolutely the best pizza I have found up here in the Hudson Valley since I move to the area fifteen years ago. It's in a small shopping center with plent of parking. The place itself is bright with an area of about about eight tables. I ordered two different slices, one was a square pepperoni slice with hot honey and the other was something with vodka sauce and Calabrian chiles. Both were excellent. The crusts were crispy on both and very flavorful. The people working here were friendly and kept the place clean and interacted with their customers. I was tempted to order a couple of slices to take home but I don't think they'd have made it. This place is worth checking out! This place is literally across the Hudson River but I'll make this my stop when I want delicious pizza. read more

Always enjoyed the pizza here until recently. I noticed that their slices have gotten smaller and much more greasy than in the beginning. My guess is they're using cheaper cheese than before. I hope they bring the quality back to avoid losing pizza lovers like me. read more

My 2nd time here and I'm still loving it! The shop is clean and transparent - you can clearly see them making the food. The man behind the counter, whom I believe to be an owner, greeted every single customer in a most welcoming manner. He kinda makes you feel like a regular when youre not. We ordered our slices and was told to sit, they'll bring the slices out. We did, and they did. The pizza there is BOMB. They are slightly expensive compared to other pizzeria, but you can taste the better quality of the ingredients. Its worth it! I had a square sausage slice, my date had a pepperoni. They both were beyond expectation! There are so many more items on the menu I'd like to try that I have no choice but to be a repeat customer. The friendly staff, sanitary space, and delicious eats make this place stand out - stop in and try it. There wont be any regrets. The ONLY problem I had is I dont drink anything but water. I had to go next door for a bottle as they dont have water in the cooler - just a bunch of fancy sodas and what not. Hopefully this will be remedied as time passes. Ordered cheesesteak and slice of pizza. The best part about the cheesesteak was the roll it was crunchy semolina and full of seeds perfect. The meat was just average and tasted a bit like the 80s steakums. There was just something off and sandwich wasn't full so it was more bread than anything. The vodka slice was tasty but not worth $5 just not enough there. I'd go back and try other sandwiches based on the bread though. read more

Stone's Pizza Shop opened at Village Squares in the former Pacini's Pizza space. They serve up traditional & signature pizzas (12"-16" pies), calzones, hot subs, wings, Caesar salad, and cooler drinks. The place is order at the counter or online with a few tables and they offer DoorDash delivery. Recently, on my way home from a long road trip with 3+ hours left, I stopped off I-84 for a food break. I decided to try out one of the specialty pizzas from Stone's Pizza Shop in Wappingers Falls and placed an online order for a 12" The Mala ($20) pizza. I headed up 9D to Stone's and my pizza was being boxed for pickup when I arrived. The Mala was topped with vodka sauce, sausage, sliced meatballs, jalapeños, & melted mozzarella cheese on a thin firm crust which had a soft light texture and thicker edge crust. I enjoyed a couple slices of pizza in the parking lot before resuming my drive. This pizza was really great. I enjoyed the rest of the pizza the next evening back at home. read more

We love this place! We found it by accident cruising around the other day. We made a turn we normally don't make and saw their "A" sign out front and made a last second decision to go in for some Pizza. The place is on the side of a building so you can't see it from the street so the "A" sign is what you are looking for. The place has a really nice design to it not like other pizza shops. I LOVE the green they used with the black for contrast. Our house is painted with deep rich colors in each room too. When we walked in first thing we saw was the colorful display of pizza toppings in a cuisine kind of way. Not the typical slew of slices. We noticed the pepperoni was cooked til it was curled up like little suction cups the way we love so we ordered 2 slices. Turns out they also added some honey to that recipe which was the perfect mix of sweet and whatever you want to call pepperoni, spiceroni? The crust was nice and thin making it crispy the way we like too. The owner Matt even gave us a sample of a regular slice on the house which was a cherry on top. We were eating the sicilian so being able to try a regular slice sealed the deal. We can't wait to go back and try one of the other fancy slices they had out. Randomly found this pizza gem! First I'll start with the negatives. .....nothing This place is such a good pizza joint. We went after playing for hours at fun max and 12 of us, including 5 kids, were starving. We ordered three pies, meatballs and salad. Everything was delicious. The pizza is crispy and thin but not too thin, with no flop, seasoned well and the toppings are cooked to perfection. It is so rare to find a pizzeria that is so good and fresh on a regular day. It just sucks we live so far. Honestly some of the best pies I have had this year, lol, but honestly Im a long time. If you go after reading my review, and don't like it, I would be shocked. Went back yesterday for as usual an amazing slice and realized I did not write a review on their chicken wings that I had the other day. When I ordered them I did not think that them cooking their wings in beef tallow would be a big deal. Boy was I wrong what a big difference in flavor and crunch. They were so crispy and tasted so much better than the usual wings. They did not have that greasy taste you sometimes get with other wings. I went to this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon with my kids to pick up a couple pizzas. The owners Jos and Matt were welcoming and warm. They showed genuine interest in my family and couldn't have been more hospitable. I've had some amazing pizza. Favorites include in NYC: DiFara's, Scarr's, John's of Bleecker Street, L'Industrie and Lucali. And in the Hudson Valley: Forage, Lola Pizza and Ollie's. I feel strongly that what Jos and Matt are producing deserves to be on the list of true pizza greats. The dough is perfectly chewy (no flop!), right proportion of toppings, sauce is perfectly tangy and not overly sweet. They are doing a perfectly sized menu...big enough to show variety, but not too big where you just don't feel like any of it can be executed with any level of true excellence. My husband and I have eaten here multiple times. This place is great our favorites include the cheesesteak sub such a generous portion of ribeye on a freshly baked sub roll. The chicken cutlet (the Tessa) sub is tender and delicious. The pizza however is the star it is not like your same old pizza. It is light and airy but crisp. The toppings are unique. What a great dining experience my family and I had at Stone's Pizza in Wappingers Falls yesterday. It started as soon as we walked through the door and were greeted by the owners Jos and Matt. Two very welcoming guys who were quick to acknowledge us walking in. The entire place was well put together and extremely clean. And the clean didn't stop there. Their food is made clean with only the best ingredients. You could tell from the very first bite. I think we tried every slice on the counter and they didn't disappoint. The guys at Stone's have perfected pizza crust. It was crispy, light and airy. Their sauce was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. We had also tried their wings and meatballs. The wings had just the right amount of spice and the bleu cheese was the best I've ever had. Amazing! Their meatballs were fresh handmade meatballs. Reminded of what my grandmother used to make. Simply stated, the best! If you are in the Wappingers area, and even if you aren't, I highly recommend Stone's Pizza! I will be making trips (40 mins one way for me) just to dine there!
