I work the wedding business myself, and often run into Joe out in the field. Even after a hard day of setting up an arch on a unbearably beautiful day or having to hand an exuberant Bride the bouquet of her dreams, I still find Joe's smile and professionalism refreshing! Joe seems to have the same appreciation for the magical that I also find in our tropical workspace here on Maui. From the pictures I've seen, he does a damn good job of capturing that in his cameras. Joe is the best! I have worked with him many times over the years, and he is always professional, kind, fun and fastidious. He did tell me about this wedding that several people mentioned back in April, and he was beside himself with grief over the fact that it somehow slipped off his radar. Now, I understand why a bride would be very upset- after all, it is her wedding day....but with that said, I can be quite certain that all three of those people who commented have made some major errors in their lives. Their attempt to ruin a person's reputation over what was obviously a mistake is really low (all three of them were at the same wedding). I want to thank Joe for the extraordinary pictures he took for me and my new wife. We got Married in late August in Maui and Joe was our photographer. We did a sunset wedding on the beach that included pre, post, and during photo sessions. The pictures are amazingly vivid look like photos from a feature film or magazine photo shoot. Absolutely gorgeous and the quality is totally professional. In addition to the great photos, Joe was able to navigate us around the island for the perfect wedding and photo location. This is an invaluable service if you are not familiar with the island as weren't. He even helped with directions while we were scouting out the location the day before. What an amazing photographer. He captured one of our most memorable days of our lives together beautifully. He recommended the perfect, most magical spot. Later I found out thats the spot that was recommended to me by our travel agent. However, I couldnt locate it. Luckily, Joe knew the perfect spot for us. Joe was true to his delivery date and worth every penny and more! I felt his price was fair for the package we recieved. I would choose him over and over again. AWESOME!!! Joe is wonderful!! We used him for our wedding (which was a destination wedding) and he was very helpful from day 1... he even helped us find our coordinator! Before the wedding he spent time talking with me over the phone about the types of photos we'd want and had a very flexible timeline. He was punctual the day of our wedding and did such an amazing job getting in all of the photos we wanted! We haven't seen all of the photos yet because we just had the wedding, but he sent us some samples and they are truly magical!! I was invited to be the best man at my buddy's wedding on Maui back in May. We had never been there before and I asked him how he found his photographer and coordinator. He told me he found some good people on the internet. We got to the beach location at the appointed hour and everyone was there, flowers music, photographer. I have dabbled in photography a bit so I was impressed to see the off camera lighting rig Joe had brought with him. He was very professional and a good director.
