Did not realize that this place had changed hands. stopped in today and definitely a change from the previous ownership. 4 people in front office sitting at desk. After 5 minutes, one says someone will be with you shortly. Still waiting, 3 people talking amongst themselves, 1 person with another customer. walked out. If the front office staff is indicative of the service, will go elsewhere. which is a shame, as have been using this shop for 25 years. read more

I brought my truck here for repairs. Very shoddy work. The panels that were installed were damaged and missing clips. Support brackets were not replaced and left hanging on by a broken bolt. None of the panels they installed match the rest of the truck. Office staff and shop workers were very rude when asked about the unrepaired issues. 100% would NOT recommend this shop to anyone. read more

Actually referred to this Body Shop by my insurance company. At first - I was unsure, since you assume whoever your insurance company is sending you to is going to cut corners or due shoddy work cause they are cheaper. When it came to having my car fix, I dealt with one of the 'Bumpus' kin on quite a few occasions. They aren't too busy or too successful to get their hands dirty as eventually happens with some family businesses. There might have been some hiccups on the actual date the car would be finished. That was a small hiccup as we had rental service with our insurance. So, meh.. I won't go into details, but getting into this accident actually saved me money. The car honestly looks better then before the accident. If I was get into another accident - I will definitely use them without hesitation. read more

after I got my car fixed in a collision I had I had then fix my car and on top of waiting 3-5 months for my car to be even touched. months later after I got my car fixed they still can't help with the parts that are going out on my car after they replaced it example: my front bumper and hood of car. they are not aligned and they can never align my body parts. how are they a body shop and can't fix a bumper or hood? makes no sense then on top of that my grille has lights that had to be replaced and since then they been out for several months and I have called the shop MULTIPLE times and even talked to Pat, Josh, and The reciption lady and I still can't get help from them! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TRASH GARBAGE COMPANY They can't even take care of there customers after the car leaves the lot after they mess up the body parts it's pretty sad read more

He and his team there work with local towing and rental car companies to ensure you have a seamless transition from one car to another as needed. They are great about giving me updates and timeframes for service and always seem to do the job right and quickly. Darren and the folks at Bumpus were fantastic!! I dropped my vehicle off at 8am, had the estimate by 9:30am and work complete at 3:30pm! They provided periodic updates throughout the process and alleviated any "surprises". Highly recommended for any auto work, not just body work. read more

My F-150 was damaged by a deer along the road in Clarksville. I took the vehicle in for repairs back in January, the day after the collision. Everything was handled quickly and professionally in the office. As I had the repairs completed almost 8 months ago, I can give a more long term update. The original repairs were completed quickly and looked no different than the factory paint. 8 Months later, no change. It looks like it did from the factory. The paint shows no issues and I am very pleased with the repairs. I had a Porsche repaired in North Carolina, and the paint did not hold up at all compared to the job Bumpus did on my truck. If I still lived there, I would definitely take my vehicles to them for any collision work again. read more

I took one of our cars to the Bumpus Body Shop on Denny road to see what could be done for it and I am really glad I talked with them. I don't know exactly who was helping me, (maybe Graham?) but whoever he was, was a great help. They got to work on my car in very good time, and I thought that they did a great job. ( The damage to my car was mostly cosmetic, so seeing is believing in this case) I hope not to have to bring my car for bodywork again for some time, however if I do, I am so glad to know about such a great service oriented company. I unfortunately had a very poor experience with Bumpus North. I was given an original estimated time of 3 weeks, and told that I would be kept up to date on any changes. I learned that Bumpus North's updates are computer automated reminders that have no correlation to the completion of the vehicle. The day before I was supposed to pickup my vehicle I receive a text message telling me it will not be done for another 7 days! No call, no apologies, just a text saying the pick up date was changed. This text being sent 3 days after a text saying that the vehicle was on its final leg of completion. When I brought this up to the secretary she told me that the texts are automated and I would need to call for updates. I inquired that a 7 day change should be something worthy of them calling me, since I am doing business with them, and she told me most customers didn't want to be bothered with calls. Only call I ever received was the day of pick-up telling me the car should be ready soon, and for me to make my way there so I can get it and go. Turns out it wasn't going to be ready until 40 minutes after closing because they were overwhelmed and busy. And when I got the car it was dirty inside with car cleaning equipment, and there was still wax all over the sides of the vehicle. The only good thing I can say is that the body work done on the vehicle was good, and I have no concerns with that. So if you are okay with being your own customer service department, and a decent job on the fixing your good. But if you want to be treated as a customer, take your business elsewhere. read more

Josh the manager was extremely friendly, and extremely helpful. Once I actually left my car however, the service went way downhill. To complete one repair, (hood hinges!) charged an exorbitant sum. Then, THEY broke the plastic vent cowling, and charged me another hundred to replace it, claiming it wad unavoidable, which it was Not. My husband and I had gotten into that hood multiple times without issue, and we'd clearly told them about it before leaving the car. When I said that didn't seem just, I was told by the mechanic "he was sorry, but their business had been there a long time before me, and it would be there a long time after me".. Essentially that their good name wasn't bothered by my poor experience. Not to mention, for this one single repair, I never got a phone call or update - they had my car for almost six weeks, and I had to continually call and check-in. (The estimate was about two weeks tops). Finally, went to pick up my car, and they had chipped the passing away entirely in two Large Patches near the hood hinges! Which they neither mentioned nor offered to repair. I am appalled at the lack of care that was taken with what was a simple repair, and the flippant attitude that their service was fine, regardless of what my experience was. I wish I had been able to have a good experience here, as I really liked the manager, but it will be a long time before I take them business again, if ever. read more

I would absolutely recommend avoiding this body shop if you can. We, unfortunately had no choice but to use them to repair our car because of our insurance company and it has been a complete nightmare.. Originally, when we went in to get the estimate for the damages to our SUV we were told that it would only take them a day to repair. However, once we received the insurance check and called back to schedule the repair, we were then told that it would take 3-4 days. Then, after we dropped off our vehicle, they told us that it might not be ready for 5-6 days, but to call back on Friday and they would tell us for sure.. So, on Friday morning we called and found out that they still needed to pick up the parts for our SUV and that it MIGHT be finished that day, but that they would call us and let us know. We received no call and when we tried to call them and ask if our SUV would be ready that day, they wouldn't answer the phone. My husband literally had to drive up there just to find out that they decided to leave early for the day. So, I guess we'll have our vehicle back whenever they feel like giving it to us. Meanwhile, we're paying an arm and a leg for a rental car that we can barely afford. Way to screw over military families, Bumpus! read more
