Called around 7:15 to get a quote to have a back door rekeyed. I got a quote and wanted to make sure what the going cost would be. After receiving two additional quotes, I decided to give Joe the job. I've used them in the past and my experience was good. I called Joe back to tell him to come out. Asked him when he was going to be able to come out and he raised his voice to let me know he was in a job and would proceed when he got done. I asked him if he takes credit cards and he raised his voice and said only if the total job was over $150.00. He sounded edgy and irritable. He asked me to text my address which I did at 7:40. By 8:30, there was no sign of him and I made two calls and no response. I then send another text and asked when he might be getting here. I see that he read the text but no response. I will not use Joes Lock and Key ever again. I had this company come out to replace the ignition on my 98 ford mustang and purchased a programmable key for an additional vehicle, which I had a key for already. This is the second time this company came out to attempt to replace the ignition. The first time they were at my house for almost two hours and they were not able to remove the ignition. They dissembled the area around the ignition and did not put everything back in its place. I offered to pay for their time which they refused. I took the vehicle to a mechanic who had the ignition out in less than ten minutes. I called to have them come out a couple of weeks ago. I provided my address when asked for it and no one ever showed up. Instead called me two days later saying they were on their way. Today they actually came out with a prompt response. He completed the work charging 120 for the key 100 for the ignition and an 85 service charge. When asked why he was over charging for the key and charging so much for the service fee he said he didn't get paid anything for the two hours he was here last time. On top of it all he didn't even put everything back together that he had disassemble the first time he came out. He took advantage of the fact that I was not home and he was dealing with my wife. Joe was incredibly easy to work with. Extremely nice and very patient with me. I had a sheriff lockout where I had to, unfortunately, Evict a tenant who hadn't paid over a year. A job that should've only taken an hour ended up taking almost three due to a lot of hurdles in the way. I unfortunately didn't have the key to the building Bruce's the locks were switched to different locks and the front door key I had difficulty finding. I'm not a person who likes to make things difficult for other people. I feel guilty for putting more work on someone than I have to and joe and Joe made it seem perfectly fine and told me not to worry and it happens all the time. Also the AC in the building wasn't working so it was hot and at the end of it he was still smiling and joking with me (if it were me I would be irritated). I was locked out of my car with my two kids . I called Joe on a Sunday after seeing his website advertising 24/7. He was extremely rude and told me he is off on Sundays. I Rechecked the website and saw that it stated 24/7. I sent him a screenshot of his hours just so he knew to fix it if he wanted to be off on Sunday so people weren't going to continuously call him. That turned into a series of rude text messages to the point where I had to threaten to call the police to get him to leave me alone. I was called names such a smarty pants a smart-ass and hold that I don't mean s***. He threatened me stating that I don't know him or his connections. This guy obviously has a horrible temper I would not recommend him to anyone especially if you're a woman.
