If i could i would rate this no stars first off i was trying to get an estimate of my car because i had locked my keys in the car and he told me he would charge my boyfriend $60 dollars. My boyfriend said "no thank you we'll give you a call back" thats if this was the cheapest price. Anyways he then told us "You're the reason why the economy is so low". Sorry you got mad and we didn't want to pay that much for something that doesn't even take 10 minutes to open if i would do it myself i could but i don't want my car to end up scratched. Had Joe out to replace a lock. He had to order it. Never heard back from him. Called him and was told he had ordered it and was waiting. Got the same story two more times and never heard from him after that. Weird experience with a grumpy locksmith. Wasted several weeks and had to find another locksmith. I called Joe's when I bought my new house. He came same day and re-keyed 25 locks! All security doors, entry doors, and gates. He even made separate gate keys that I can give to the gardener and pool guy so if they get lost I only have to change 1 key and they only have access to that gate. I called Joe's for 2 reasons: proximity to my home and the reviews. The first time I called, I asked if it was the locksmith, didn't get an answer, then got hung up on. Thinking it was my mistake I called again. When I called the second time, I again asked if it was the Locksmith and asked for a quote when confirmed. The man on the line said "I'm not giving you a quote, either you need my services or not, cuz it's Sunday and its Father's Day". Before I could answer to have the service performed, he hangs up on me. I would've paid any reasonable amount to get into my home and my child out of the 100+ degree heat. I understand that it was a holiday, but customer service didn't have to be so rude; He simply could have said that they were unavailable, or just not answer any service calls. read more

I called on a Friday night and obviously my first question is what do you charge for an auto unlock his response is well if I were you and it's a Friday night you don't call a locksmith and ask how much they charge you just tell them to come out and he rambles on to say I'll charge you 75-80 but you're going to say that's too expensive and hung up on me before I could even respond! Rude. My dad locked himself out of his car and is at home so it's not an emergency. I'll just wait until the morning and call the same company who did it last time for me for $40! read more

I was referred to Joe from a friend of mine. I was in need of a locksmith after my Aunt had passed away and needed to secure the house. Have Joe a call and he was out within minutes. Initially I was only going have a few locks changed due to my limited budget, but after seeing how he did things and how quickly he got the job done, I ended up having him change the remainder locks to match. Without question, he had the 5 remaining locks re-keyed within matter of minutes. One of the other things that I liked about his service is that he was able to create a unique key combination for my house and one that would make it very difficult for someone to tamper with the lock, right on the truck. No master key needed. And for the future, he provided the key combo for emergency duplicates just in case. Best locksmith in Bakersfield.
