A professional team promptly arrived, diagnosed the issue and started the remediation. Clyde & Christian were the techs and they were very delightful to deal with and provided clear detail and communication on the process. I am a native Floridian and have dealt with numerous service companies in my 60+ years in south Florida. On June 10, 2025, our STR Condo in Panama City Beach flooded due to the pressure regulator valve blowing out. We had 3 inches of water in our 939 sq ft. unit. Our Insurance company recommended Joe Taylor Restoration. We live 500 miles away so we trusted the insurance company. We also were not able to check in on the progress of the water extraction and mold remediation. Joe Taylor restoration sent us itemized invoices of the process, which was approved by the insurance company. So I set my expectations based on the quote sent to us. I also spoke with two representatives who explained what I could expect during the restoration process. I was able to make the trip to PCB August 26, 2025 after the initial water extraction and mold remediation was completed. In the meantime, I had to sign off on the work done via Docusign before we could proceed with the remodel of the unit. Each day we are shut down we lose revenue, therefore, I felt I had to sign off on the completion of their work but noted, I had not seen the work and could not give a accurate survey answers. The first phase was to extract the water and start the drying process. They brought in 12 dehumidifiers and fans to dry out the sheet rock. Once dried, (10 days), they started pulling off the baseboards and pulling up the floors. They found mold so the tear-out had to stop so they could start mold remediation. I felt they should have removed the baseboards before they started the drying process. The team sent over to box up our personal property did not seem concerned with the proper care and handling of the personal property in the unit. They piled remove baseboards, flooring and other personal property on the beds without first covering the mattress encasement and pad. They put plastic on top of the pile on the bed. They did not box up items from the kitchen cabinets, they just sat them on the floor knowing sheet rock was to be cut out and replaced. This is a very dusty process. They also did not remove the vanity in the hall bathroom as stated in the quote. This bathroom was in the direct path of the flowing water. Also, the billing was a little suspicious. Once the first team found mold, they stopped the tear out. Leaving the Mold Remediation team to do it, which they didn't. Their only concern was mold remediation. However, we were billed separately for the water extraction and tear out, and the mold remediation. Since we had $10,000 mold coverage on our insurance policy, most of the billing went on that invoice, when it should've been on the water extraction invoice. It may not matter, but that is how some of the tear-out was missed. I had to pay a separate contractor to finish the work quoted and billed on the Joe Taylor Restoration invoice. Our representatives for each phase of the clean up was very responsive and friendly on the phone, but each blamed the other for not doing the job quoted. The office staff was friendly when I had inquiries about the quotes. It's the quality of service and care taken while they were in the unit that I felt necessary to write this review. I did not like the fact I had to complete a survey before Joe Taylor Restoration would close the claim and proceed with the next phase. The company was more concerned about getting a survey than providing excellent quality service. I would not recommend them unless you can be there every day to supervise the work. read more

Joe Taylor Restoration did not properly secure a sewer opening that allowed a RAT into my unit. It took 6 days to finally catch the RAT. The damage was over $12,500 to clean up the mess caused by the RAT.I tried to file a claim with JOE Taylor Restoration to no avail.They are not responding to any of my calls, text, or emails. This company is so unethical. Multiple invoices for the same job. They will claim that it's two separate jobs. One for mold and one for water removal. I was left with a balance above my insurance limits. Was also told that they would reduce the total amount due and then they lied. They've had my reviews deleted off Google, Yelp, Facebook, but now copying this back from a complaint lodged to the Better Business Bureau so I apologize to future victims reading this, some of this was censored. unnecessarily tore doors off wall, then curtly said it wasn't their job to rehang doors. left job undone with exposed cement, chipped tile, and gaping openings to outside of the house. absolutely carelessly tore apart garage that my parents had to spend so much money fixing up. *** ****** wouldn't release the report to citizens insurance until we paid their ******* friends who run a mold remediation company, who demanded cash before my parents got the money from their insurance to pay them. this was a separate company that had absolutely nothing to do with *** ******. the insurance company deemed the unfinished ***ditions *** ****** left my parents house "liveable" with the house sealed off, no A/C in 95 degree weather, large dehumidifiers cranking out even more heat. heck if i know how *** ****** was the number one recommendation from citizens insurance. clearly has to be that they prey on elderly people together. the fee was $10,000 even, obviously maxing out the legal amount they could charge for doing a piss poor job. seriously ANY other company would be better than these horrific *** *******. going to look into what we can do to report to better business bureau. if anyone else has suffered by the hands of *** ******, please reach out and maybe together we can take this company down and make the world and less harmful place to live in. read more

So my homeowners send a restoration company to my home after a plumbing problem, being a new homeowner and in a panic i thought insurance company sent them ro avoid mold issues and paying a claim..then realized rhey dont pay anything They put in a big dehumidifier some fans, cut out behind molding,tear up the carpet ,,don't put anything back and charge me 1500$ .Said they would accept payments, they accepted my 1st check,still put a lien on my home! For anyone who is thinking about using Joe Taylor Restoration think again. They are crooks who will over charge you, fail to complete the work when it's said to be done, and when you dispute them charging for services NOT rendered they will attempt to steal your home. Riley came out in September to quote my Mold remediation they didn't actually do any work until after I had the tub/shower replaced and all that area removed and cleaned by Westshore homes in October. The first crew they sent on Dec 1st was 1/2 disrespectful and didn't even spend most the time inside working. Only 1 guy actually worked while the other man spent his time outside on his cellphone. Then after they inspection on the 4th they NEVER came back to remove their equipment. It ran until Jan 6th when it started making noises and I broke the seal and went in and shut it off 32 days after it could have been turned off. Then the AC person didn't properly clean the air unit heck he never even removed the vent covers and they are charging for 12 I have 7 in my home. My tile is still the same as when I moved in they didn't pull anything up, heck in my kitchen they didn't even remove the backslash and when I did we found so much mold that it's no wonder they had to seal off that area before my kitchen would pass inspection which by the way took from Jan 12th to February 7 to "pass" and I honestly feel it only passed that time because they covered the bar area with plastic because they didn't do a good job cleaning the area behind the cupboard. read more

They were the recommended company my insurance uses for their claims. Our policy only had $10,000 for mold remediation, but they sent a bill to my insurance company for $11,596.50 making me responsible for $1,596.50 above what my insurance paid for. I did not under stand why this happen. They should have told me this before work was done so I could get other estimates, since I only had $10,000 for mold remediation. BUT I DO UNDERSTAND THAT MY INSURANCE AGENT SAID IT WAS ALL TAKEN CARE OF. These thing should not not happen between the insurance company and the recommended mold remediation company they do business with all the time. I will say they did a good job, but way over priced for what was done. Told me I had hail damage on my roof. Put a tarp where the damage was. Insurance came and there was no damage. Called an independent adjuster and the agreed with insurance company. I called JTR and they told me they would call the insurance company and get back with me. They put a lien on my home and sued me. Very dishonest company. read more

I live in Orlando, FL and we used Joe Taylor Restoration here, as they've recently come to our area. On Saturday night we came home to a pipe break in our house. About 8000+ gallons of water had flooded our home. We called Joe Taylor Restoration around 8:30pm and one of their colleagues, Chris Zepp, showed up within 30 minutes. Chris was professional, knowledgeable, and kind. He answered all of our questions and got to work within minutes. Poor guy, it was his Saturday night too, but he worked well until midnight while we found ourselves a hotel and got settled in. We worked with Chris for 4 days/nights as he remediated our damage, by drying it, testing all areas in the house, and ripping up our floors and baseboards as needed. I cannot say enough about this mans work ethic and thorough communication skills. Before we asked a question, he had it answered. We always knew what the next step would be, when he'd be around, and how long we needed to extend our hotel stay. When we were given the okay to get back in the house, the floors/baseboards were gone and all of our furniture was in the exact same spot. I'll call it magic, because I don't know how Chris was able to do such an extensive remediation while still keeping our house as organized as possible. He treated our home as if it were his own. I cannot speak higher of a company as I can about Joe Taylor Restoration, and their ace Chris Zepp. During such a stressful time, Chris gave us one less thing to worry about, and made the process as painless as possible. I would never use this company. I had a small house fires that was contained to my kitchen area. They installed five Air Scrubbers HEPA Filtration machines when all I needed was one since the smoke did not penetrate any other room in my home. I feel they took advantage of me in my destress. They came in my house with lots of people, I guess to finish the work fast, right ? took out fans, never put them back, said they couldn't open and clean them... so why did they take them off the ceiling if you can't clean them? the lamps on the fans, that by the way were expensive fans, the chemical used took out the paint from the frosting of the glass. Until this day I am waiting for them to return my call to replace the lamp. This was a relatively small house, only 1900 sq feet, nothing inside besides the smell of smoke and damage in a couple cabinets in the kitchen. My bill over 10k. Totally unjustifiable !!! read more

I was very happy with the crew that showed up to clean up the water damage caused by a water heater that had emptied 3 floors above me. The owner of the condo assured me her insurance company would take care of everything. The crew did an amazing job. It took a week to dry everything out. One huge dehumidifier and about 6 commercial fans. A claim was put in with the Insurance Company of the condo owner whose water heater caused the damage, and it took at least a month before we were notified that they were not covering the claim. Before we were notified by the Insurance Company, the Office of Joe Taylor was calling me telling me I am responsible to pay and putting pressure on me to pay the bill. After talking to my Insurance Company again, they assured me they would pay the bill. I called Joe Taylor and asked them send the bill to my Insurance Company and gave them the information. Again, Joe Taylor Co kept calling me to pay the bill. The woman from Joe Taylor had sent it to the wrong email address, so again I gave them the information. They also forgot to send the "scope of work" to the insurance Company. Joe Taylor Company told me they were going to put a lien on our property if we didn't pay. Again, we informed them that they had not sent the information to the right email address and forgot to send the scope that's why it was taking so long. We received a certified letter that they were moving forward with a lien. My husband called them, and they received the Insurance Check probably at the same time we received the lien notice. One would think that a restoration company would be accustomed to Insurance Claims taking 2 to 3 months to settle. We also were in touch with Joe Taylor Company and the Insurance Company on a regular basis and the reason it took longer was because Joe Taylor did not send to the correct email address, and when they did, the did not send the scope of service. So, I gave it half the stars because the work was done professionally;however, the Office manager was acting more like a bad debt collector instead of being helpful by getting the correct information the Insurance Company needed. She was very difficult to deal because she was not a good listener or note taker. This could have been resolved much quicker is she would have done her job properly. read more

We hired Joe Taylor Restoration to dry out a flood caused by a leak in the cooling system for a wine room in a multi-million dollar home. Their crew was clean and worked in a timely fashion. The area was dried in a few days and they helped with the remediation process so that we were sure to pass the follow on mold testing. All ended well. During the remediation they did not clean the ventilation system or remove under stairs damage before they fill Traciann system was put in place. Mold was involved. Later other surfaces had to be removed due to mold and water damage by another company. That was last year I'm still in a hotel. I felt I was definitely not a priority. I usually don't write reviews but after my experience with Joe Taylor Restoration, I felt it important to share my experience. Three weeks ago a huge thunderstorm passed our area. Streets were flooded, the rain came down very hard. I heard what sounded like someone dropped a huge sack of potatoes in my back bedroom. I went to see what was going on. When I walked in the room I found half of my ceiling had collapsed. Water was pouring in. There was debris and insulation all over the place. I wasn't sure what to do or who to call. Do I call a roofer or my insurance company or a company to suck the water up and who do I call to fix the ceiling? I had a flood from my dishwasher a couple years back. Joe Taylor Restoration was sent out by my insurance company. They did a real good job last time so I thought to call them not knowing if this is something they did. I found their card and called. The woman who answered the phone at Joe Taylor Restoration was extremely pleasant and answered all my questions. She explained she would have a crew out immediately to clean up the mess and dry the structure. In addition, she would line up a roofer to fix the roof ASAP. She explained once all that was done they would work with either myself or my insurance company to address all the other damage. The guys from Joe Taylor Restoration showed up fast and eased my worries. I was extremely upset and nervous as anyone who has been through this would be. The guys checked on me and my property often. The submitted reports and photos to my insurance company. They were involved with the entire process including making sure the roof was temporarily tarped until permanent repairs were made. I used Joe Taylor Restoration on 2 separate occasions. My home in Boca Raton had a pipe that broke in the wall. Clegg from the team came out and explained in detail to us how he was going to dry our home and mitigate the damage. Not only was he able to dry our home, the work he did saved parts of the home that could have been destroyed. We also had a flood in our condo in Ft. Myers from a leak from a condo 2 floors above.
