Extremely great guy. I broke down 40 miles from home on a Sunday with no shops open except for Joe. He really dove into my car and figured the problem out pretty quickly. Thank you again for your time and expertise! It was a great experience!

I gave them a call Saturday morning and spoke to La Lo. He was very helpful, pleasant, and very customer service oriented. I told him about the battery light and he asked if I could bring it in around 1pm since they were pretty booked that day. After bringing in the car, it took about 40 minutes until they were able to come up with a diagnosis for me - the alternator needed replacing. La Lo gave me a quote for the repair, and even did some research to see if he can get better pricing for the part, which he did. He saved me a few hundred dollars, which was much appreciated. He told me I would be able to credit the cost of the diagnosis ($85) towards the repair. I brought the car in for repair the following Tuesday (Monday was a holiday). My wife's car works great now, thanks to DAS Auto! From the initial call, to the in-person interaction, you could tell they care about their customers. Even hearing how they speak to other customers in their shop, they're very honest about the repair (La Lo even told one customer the cost of his repair and that more than likely they might find other things wrong if they went through with it). I highly recommend them! They'll be our go-to mechanic moving forward!

I hit up Joe asking if he could run diagnostics and he was able to make time for us to come in immediately. We left the car with him to troubleshoot and he called us within the hour to let us know the brake discs and pads needed to be replaced and he found a mistake the previous neighbor "mechanic" made when attempting to fix our brake problem. Joe had parts ordered and was able to fix our car the very same day! No more rattling or scratching metal sounds when we brake. I highly recommend taking your car to DAS for any vehicle trouble you may be experiencing!

Dindo and his team have consistently delivered the best customer service and top-notch quality of work--it's why I happily drive from San Mateo every time I need service, even though there are plenty of closer options. What stands out most is how attentive and honest Dindo is. He takes the time to really listen to any concerns, explains everything clearly without using confusing jargon, and never pushes unnecessary repairs. I've had everything from routine maintenance and oil changes to more involved fixes like brakes, suspension work, and diagnostics, and every recommendation has felt legitimate and fair--no upsells or inflated quotes just because they see an out-of-town customer. The work is always done right the first time, with high-quality parts and attention to detail that gives me real peace of mind on the road. The whole shop runs like a well-oiled machine: friendly staff, quick turnaround when possible, and a clean, professional environment. Dindo's passion for what he does shines through--he genuinely cares about getting your vehicle safe and reliable, and that shows in every interaction. If you're looking for a trustworthy auto shop where integrity and excellent craftsmanship come first, Pacifica Auto Works (and especially Dindo) is the real deal. Highly recommend--5 stars aren't enough! I'll keep making the drive from San Mateo because the trust and quality are worth every mile.

Within his first response, he not only quoted me for service but also gave me options for which part to buy, and later added that I could buy the parts myself to save money. He was super accommodating when it came to scheduling and traveling to work on my car while I was at work, and was done well within a couple hours. He was professional, friendly, and efficient. Going to him also saved me well over $1200 compared to going for a repair at the dealership. Would highly recommend and would reach out again if I needed any other repairs, auto, home, or otherwise!

Roland referred me to a place to get a full CVT replacement for my 2015 Honda Civic. Price was beyond reasonable. Roland then met up with me to do maintenance for the rest of the car and now it runs like new! What sets Roland apart from everyone else is two things: 1. He's a mobile mechanic; if you got an emergency or need flexibility on location, he's your guy. He comes out to you. 2. He has YOU buy the parts, so money saved not being upcharged by the dealer/shops. You tell him the issue, he tells you what you need to get (including links to Amazon, rockauto, etc), and agree on the labor price I recommend his services to anyone that wants the flexibility and to go with someone knowledgeable/honest. It also sent requests out to a few other shops, tho that part is always random, and not all of them were even close to me. Anyhow, Alex the owner responded in minutes and gave the most reasonable quote to change my BMW front brakes using OEM pads. I dropped my car off in the morning (they were working on several European cars), and it was ready by early afternoon, just as promised. Alex was honest, transparent, explained things in layman's terms, and made me comfortable as a woman who doesn't know cars. Just a heads up, in case you want to get some work done while you wait, there isn't a waiting room...just several lawn chairs near the entrance. But hey, it helps keep their overhead low, and those savings get passed on to customers!

I went and dropped it off and he GUESSED (didn't do a full diagnostic test) it was a fuel pump issue and said he's 95% it was that. Told us a certain price and after the car was done, a few days later, he called and upped the price $200 more for no reason. After 2 weeks of having my car my car didn't start AGAIN. AAA insurance came and did a diagnostic and said it was the battery needed a new one so I got one and my car sounds better and issues was solved. Alex (owner) over charges people and doesn't do a thorough job. REPLYING TO THE COMMENT(Alex): I find it very unprofessional that you as a owner / business man would put your customers name, car, family business, and bring up how much you've helped have helped them on here. First off I'm a WOMAN my name is on my yelp, I don't have to hide or lie. This is MY yelp so I get to put my opinion and experience on here. Did I feel like I got overcharged, yes from $500 as quoted the first time to $700 before picking it up. There's many mechanics that ordered things on Amazon for their customers. Other businesses owners would comment after negative reviews with " we apologize for that experience" not argue back. It's very weird how you mentioned how much you help and do for others. My experience is my experience and my opinion is my opinion.
