Joe's is the best mechanic shop in town, hands down, and I will recommend them to all of my friends in the future! Joe used to be my regular at Dutch Bros and has always been a very kind, sweet, and honest human being. Last week my 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT's engine blew, a piston malfunction which caused a rod bearing to break. I called Joe's Auto Shop to see what a *rough* quote would be to get it fixed (understanding things can easily change, especially with an engine rebuild/replacement). Rob, who also works here, called me back with a very honest and thorough quote. I decided the repairs wouldn't be worth it for the total worth of the car. Fast forward to this week: I try to get my old 1995 VW Cabrio running and after replacing multiple parts myself, I threw in the towel and called Joe's again, and Rob helped me again. I told him I thought it was an ignition switch. He told me to get it towed to their shop that same day and he'd look at it no later than Monday (it was a Friday afternoon). First thing this morning, I got a call at 10 AM from Rob. They gave me a complete diagnostic of the car and honestly let me know other problems with the car, but remained focused on the ignition switch and swiftly fixed it. They were up front about costs before they did any repairs to ensure I knew exactly what was happening during the process. I've been ripped off by auto shops in town before. As a young girl, I deal with it often. I appreciate a shop that respects me and is HONEST, no matter how hard the news is or how little the problem may be. They even gave me an itemized list of issues with the VW, in the order in which they believed I should get them fixed. I'm so, so impressed, but not surprised. O we took my sons car to Joe's automotive to have water pump installed the guy named Rob called us to tell us it needs head gasket replaced also we told them to go ahead they had the car for a week when we went to pick it up the bill was 3,700 dollars my son only drove the car two days and it left him on the side of the road we had it towed back to there shop rob called us back a day later and said it had nothing to do with the work they did they don't garrentee there engine work there so my son is out 3,700 dollars it makes me sick that he's out that much money they did not want to fess up to there bad work and rob was very rude about it on top of it all I would like to warn people about them they are not qualified mechanic s 00 read more

(They deleted my review on Google) DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!! My brother brought his Lexus ls300 in here to get a fix done. They were very nice at first (before they ruined his car lmao), they charged him almost $4000 for a fix on his car. My brother absolutely loved his car so he payed it, they had his car for WEEKS. He finally got it back, and was very excited to have it back. He drove it normally for not even 2 hours and the whole car blew up. It now has to go to a junk yard because of Joe's Automotive, and my brother is down almost $4000 that he could've used if they would've told him they don't know how to do their job. Today they called my dad and threatened that my brothers car needs to be moved off their property (even though they have it out front to advertise their business). They told us they would tow off there property for $70, hahahahah. Don't give these people your money. And DO NOT give them your credit cards. This company is full of crooks. If you love your car as much as my brother did, save yourself stress and take it to a place where they know what they are doing. read more

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM I had my car towed there to remove the bolt and change the timing belt. The guy calls me the next day before they start working on it to say he's going to have to machine the engine head cause he got me mixed up with someone who already had theirs machined. I said I didnt want any work done on the head gasket. He said their name was on the job and that this was part of the procedure and that they wouldn't do it without it. I said they didnt need to access the head gasket for the job and that I didnt want it to be done. He said they could not to the head gasket but that it might not run right afterwards. I told them to not start the job because I was gonna call someone else. So I call someone else, and then call the original guys back and tell them that I'll be towing the vehicle to pick it up. He starts pleading with me that he got me mixed up with a different girl who was having her head gasket done and that it was a simple mixup. I told him I questioned his credibility and didn't trust that he knew that this job would even do anything for the car and said I'd hold off on the tow until they checked the timing on it. So he said he'd call me back in the morning. The next day, he doesnt call. I have to call two times and dont get in touch til near the end of the business day. When I do talk to him, he said the timing was fine and that i owed him money tmfor they labor they already started on the project, plus the diagnostic for looking at the belt. I said I explicitly stated that no work was to be done during the first phone call he made to me on the previous day as well as the subsequent phone call and that if they did labor then that's on them. Started fighting about it. They increased their prices. The owner called me with a differentstory. the dude called me again with a different story. Then I got a voice mail from the owner saying that they did something they didnt need to do (that they had never mentioned either) and that they would absorb that cost (basically trying to trick me into thinking they're meeting me halfway) but that I stilled owed me for the labor of removing the engine mount (which is now broken). I called them back and said I never told them to take off the engine mount and that im in a worse place than when I started because now I've got to buy a new kount which is almost 200 bucks and that really they owe me money but that I want to just call it square. They said they weren't budging. And now they've seized my car til I pay the 300 bucks for doing nothing but breaking my engine mount. So I'm out 500 bucks for taking it to these guys and literally leaving with nothing but a broken engine mount (worse situation than when I started). read more

He was quick and good about coming out to diagnose but then I had a blown engine. They replaced it for $2,500. Said it would take a few days to do and ended up taking over a month telling me every few days it would only be a few more. He told me if i needed to use any of the money for travel to do so, i thought he ment to take it out of the bill. Obviously a misunderstanding. I had a "6month warranty" on my engine and it broke down less than 6 months afterwards. Threw a rod through my engine. Then they feed me some crap about how they won't warranty my engine i have to pay another 1350 for a new engine He did offer to cover labor but i should have been covered under warranty for full replacment. After all this I am still stuck with a vehicle that doesn't run, i do not mind paying for my things but I also don't enjoy being jerked around and taken advantage of.VERY unhappy.
