I have gone to another local oil change service just down the street from this Jiffy Lube for many years. When it was time to get my oil changed, I again went to that oil change shop...I didn't stay long. I needed to get my oil changed though so as I was driving up the street figuring my next move I saw the Jiffy Lube and decided to give them a chance. Super professional, did not talk condescendingly based on gender and were much more efficient with both of ours time in making sure my car received necessary service without a hard press up sell attempt at every step of the way. I went to Jiffy Lube on Commercial to get my oil changed. I think they are not called Jiffy Lube any more. They would change my oil but not add brake fluid, although they said they would check it. They said I had to go to Les Schwab to get brake fluid. It was very inconvenient to me as it is hard for me to get out to take care of these things. I did forget my purse or I would have gotten the oil changed and had them check the brake fluid. I went home and have not gotten out again to take care of these things. Looking for a place that will do oil and brake fluids. read more

When your check engine light comes on or your car is making strange noises it's never a good day. However, the guys here really helped turn my day around. when my radiator ended up needing to be replaced they made sure to explain it to me and get it done same day. I really appreciate them trying to make a bad day bearable and help me. I took my '07 Acura to these people. I had always taken it to Acura dealership, but for some dumb reason I took it here for an oil change. that was a big mistake. I had never had a problem with the break sensor before but i took it here and the problem was 'created' that day. i was just going to let it go until my mechanic at an Acura dealership said somebody else had just called about the same issue with the brake sensor and VSA being disconnected after taking their Acura TL to this jiffy lube. I don't really know how they're going about doing this. maybe half disconnecting something and hoping it disconnects when someone breaks hard, I'm not sure. thats speculation, but the fact is my car had no issues before taking here and then after they serviced it it began to have issues It had never had before. not sure if it happens to only Acura or what, but this is wrong and I'm calling them out so that nobody else gets taken advantage of by this place. read more

I ran into a problem with my car overheating and I was in the vicinity of Jiffy Lube on commercial St., Southeast, I pulled in and they looked at it immediately, saw the problem, ordered the part, installed it and Gave the car a new coolant. It resolved the issue until the next day, it again overheated. I called and they told me that they will order a new part, and call me when it was in. The next day I went in and it took them five minutes to install and had no issues since then. Jiffy Lube is not just a place to get an oil change but they were able to resolve my heating issue of my car and I am very grateful for their service and keeping me in the loop of the process. Kudos to Doug and Glenn, the managers, for their due diligence. I highly recommend them if you have any car issues or just need an oil change. read more

I hate getting my oil changed as much as I hate getting gas, or picking up a prescription. It's tedious, takes forever, and is a major interruption in the flow of my day. I have long yearned for a place that did quick drive up oil changes like the place in Medford but without the $60 price tag. Last I remember, Jiffy Lube made you drop off your car and leave it with them. So, it was with some hesitation that I drove into the totally empty business and asked how long (or how quick, rather) they could do an oil change. I was given the option of getting out of or staying in the car. I chose the latter and was told that they'd have me out within 8 minutes. Not only was I done in 8 minutes, I was treated spectacularly by all the employees on duty. They didn't push their services like Oil Can Henry's (and, in fact, joking informed me that they don't speak "that kind of language around here". I could tell the boss was proud of the fact that his guys did well and was the funniest of the bunch. He was sure to tell me that if corporate called, PLEASE let them know if we felt like they (his shop) were up-selling me, because he doesn't want that for his customers. Trust me--skip Oil Can What's-His-Face and go here. $20, exemplary service, and comedy! read more

These guys have always done right by us. They're always upfront with what is needed, clear about what we can do ourselves, and willing to answer all of our questions when we have them. Also they do all the little things that you don't really expect but go a long way in terms of service. They'll top off the fluids for you, wash the windows etc. Again, not the things youre paying for but the little bits that go far in terms of service. Overall service has always been pretty fast. They are pretty accurate with the time lines that they give you. Most importantly, they are respectful to me and my girlfriend whether we have shown up together or alone. We went there for multiple years with confidence knowing they'd give quality service, fair prices, and clear information. read more

Do not go here or any other jiffy lube! These places are run by people who have zero knowledge of cars and are pushed by corporate to con you into thinking your cars going to blow up if you don't let them change every fluid the car has. Let's start with this, I do all the mechanical work on my car but from time to time get to busy to do an oil change and find it convenient to go to jiff. I had just serviced my brakes and flushed my brake fluid, replaced my tranny oil and a few other things. Month later went to jiff, intimidating guy comes to my window, "boss you got water in your brake fluid you could lose braking power and crash" in a nutshell. I laughed and said no way in hell id let you touch my brake system in my head. Lastly took my truck in a few weeks back, and watched them do their thing and saw they didn't close my air filter box back up and just left it open. After leaving i opened the hood and closed it all up. Was not happy about this carelessness but let it slide. 3 weeks later girlfriend took her car in to jiff and same thing happened, left her airbox open!!!!! Are you kidding me?! They will literally ruin someone's engine if they don't catch this for 3k miles! Sucking in dust and contaminants is the easiest way to dirty your valves. Score your cylinders or possibly blow your engine. I'm upset and am livid about this places carelessness read more

Probably my 10th glowing review of our JLube Team...Doug and Glen have kept our 16 yr old vehicles running like they were only 5... and just today on our way back from McKenzie, OR (about a 200 mile R/T from home)...we did the gas vs mileage calculation and Lo and Behold!...my lovingly-cared for Trailblazer is getting 21 miles to the gal. We received good service here. Doug was especially helpful (found out his daughter works at a restaurant near our home -- some 60 miles away!). It was my partner's car and he treated her with more respect, courtesy, than some other places. The car was messy and had some damage to the back; we didn't feel like there was any judgment around that, and they happily vacuumed, cleaned up, offered to change some third-eye lights, and helped us with the coupon. They are always fast, courteous, and they never pressure you to get the more expensive stuff. I like how they will review what has been done to your car and what should be done every so miles and if I ask, they'll even print me the report for it. They always clean my car for me which is a plus. I'm only giving them a 4 out of 5 because sometimes they forget to put the little reminder sticker on for me. read more

They don't really attempt to up sell services and if you do argue a bit they will usually give a discount. Today I came to Jiffy Lube on Commercial Street in Salem, and I can not tell you enough about how impressed I am with the impeccable service that was provided to me, not only on the phone but also when I arrived. Doug was incredibly helpful letting me know what was a priority and imperative to have completed on my car. He spoke of having my future business, and I will tell you - he has earned it. He communicated everything my car needed, and let me know every step of the way where we were at. The technicians were professional, polite, and obviously respected and listened to what Doug said. He runs a tight ship and this team offers impeccable customer service. I went there for a cheap oil change which they're decent for. The manager told me I had a brake light out and said he could replace it for $20. I declined as I can change a lightbulb, got home checked why light was out and guess what? No light out, brakes turn signals, tail, and reverse all light up like Christmas. Once again, our boys at Jiffy confirmed our trust in their integrity. The aged chariot (15 yrs old and 210,00 miles) let us down this weekend - dead and gone battery...or so we thought. Couldn't find the receipt to tell us when we last installed a new one (hubby is a terrible paper shuffler)...so we had it towed to our Jiffy Team. No one else touches our cars except Doug and Glenn and the Team...BUT! Doug found in his system that it had been replaced just a year or so ago - and it just needed a loose bolt replaced/tightened. We also told him while it was there - check all the parts and pieces and fix whatever he found wanting. We trust them implicitly...and guess what? Everything was hunky-dory. Now, any place else in town could have found several hundred dollars worth (at least) they could have ransomed us for....but not our fellas! The truck was ready for pick up in less than an hour...We love our Jiffy Lube! read more

In a nutshell, these guys are the worst oil changing place I have ever been to. Sure, they will change your oil for 19.99, but honestly it is not worth it. They actually argued with me how what transmission oil needed to go into my tranny, because at the time it had a leak. I was putting the manual tranny oil in because the people who rebuilt it recommended that, and they said their book said to put the automatic transmission oil in it. And continued to state that they didn't want to liable if the transmission blew up. What happened to the customer is always right? I can understand not wanting to be liable for that, but I had been running the manual transmission oil in it for a year. This kind of attitude is just ridiculous. Their "mechanics" know very little of the actual workings of an vehicle and by the way charged me twice for the service (this happened because their card swiping system was on the fritz.), which then caused my bank to charge me an overdraft fee, so instead of 20 dollars it cost me 70 dollars for the whole episode. read more
