We went to several stores, had to wait for a salesperson and then had a hard time getting questions answered. Then luckily we went to Floor Craze and immediately had the manager's full attention. He showed us a a great selection, ranging from gorgeous high-end wool carpeting and wood flooring to stylish ceramic tile for the mudroom. He explained all the options, including the pros and cons, and gave us a very specific, detailed quote for each room, including taking out the existing flooring, and installing the padding and new flooring. Their prices are surprisingly reasonable! As soon as he placed the order for each room, he gave us frequent updates on delivery and installation times. The whole crew was warm, friendly, efficient and very professional from delivery through installation through cleanup. Everything was delivered and installed on time and perfectly.The rug for our entry had to be re-cut and rebound twice, for example, due to changes during renovation, and Floor Craze did that seamlessly within a couple of days, both tones. It's so rare to see this level of friendly service anywhere and Floor Craze made this part of our renovation a breeze!

I worked primarily with Janice in the show space on South Main St. She showed me differences in models and lines while patiently answering my questions over the course of a few weeks. I was surprised at the detailed process we went through when I finally decided on what I wanted and sat down with her to go through the order itself. Janice went through every choice from windows to gable vents to locations and sizes of windows and doors. After waiting 3 weeks for the shed to be built in pieces, the assembly crew showed up on the appointed day right on time. Jose, Edvin, and Celso arrived at 9am, and got to work quickly, assembling the shed in a little more than 6 hours. Other than a short break for lunch, they worked steadily, kept things neat, and cleaned up after they were done. The finished product is well-constructed. Within hours of the assembly crew heading back to NY, it started to rain in CT for the next 36 hours. My town received close to 5" of rain, yet the shed was bone dry inside, much to my relief. From beginning to end, I'm very happy with the service and final product, and I'd highly recommend Best in Backyards to anyone in the market for a storage shed.

The place seemed pretty busy. Basically they ended up sending someone out to my house to take measurements of the table and get the radius of the corners just right. So I picked it up this week and it came out great. And the price was right. The only complaint is that it took a while. But I wasn't in any hurry. I had a hard time getting receipts for permits I paid for but the owner was always at my house for checks to get paid. Cashed them immediately! The quality of work, initially I gave them photos of what I wanted, they changed the design & told me after they started the change & really at the point it was too late to make changes! I like the projects, not love either as it wasn't what I wanted! Not what I requested, gave them photos before? One of the posts on the stairs was not fastened down, he had to come back, also pencil marks, large all over stairs. I found trash under the deck & all over my project area despite putting a trash container at the site. I had to clean up daily their trash, bottles, tools. They TOOK the leftover wood from the project, that I paid for, without asking! I gave this company food & a bonus at the end, that was before I found the trash under the deck & realized they took the supplies that belonged to me!
