This place is confusing. We ordered online pickup from "Adrianos" but all the signage all says "Amarettos" We thought we went to pick up from the wrong place. Online it says the kids meal includes a drink but we had to ask for it. They said it's wrong online and it shouldn't be included but they'd go ahead and give it to us anyway. I've been wanting to try more local places and this place has been on my radar for a few month now. So my partner and I decided to check it out today and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. It's a small set up with tables with the old school checkered red/white or green/white combo tablecloths. We were the only ones there but the manager greeted us quickly and said we could sit anywhere and he'll be right with us. He quickly provided us menus and took our drink order. I asked for a recommendation and he said the Chicken Alma so I ordered that and my parent ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. He informed us it game with a house salad and went to put in our order. He came out with the salads, which are pretty standard, and some fresh bread. The bread was super hot and delicious with some marinara sauce for dipping. Soon after our food arrived and you definitely get what you pay for here. My Chicken Alma was superb and my partner's chicken Parmigiana looked delicious. The chicken Alma had some great flavors with a little bit of heat added in from the jalapeño peppers mixed in the sauce. Overall I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. I'll be back to try their pizza for sure! read more

I was in the area for work and saw this place. Looked up reviews and the pasta reviews looked really good, which is what I should have ordered. Instead, I got a chicken parm sub and waited in my car to go in and pick it. While waiting, I saw someone come out and go next door to Tom Thumb. He came out of TT with a bag and went back into the restaurant. I followed him in. I couldn't believe what happened next. As I was paying for my food realizing my order wasn't ready with the girl behind the register, I saw the following. He went to the open kitchen, cut up my cooked chicken on the board and split the roll he purchased next door. No gloves. No hand washing. No mask. He sauced the sandwich, and into the oven it went. I was dumbfounded. I understand not having rolls but the rest is inexcusable. I had already swiped after all of this and was in a hurry and am entirely too polite (or stupid) to say stop right now, I don't want that because that is not a clean or SAFE way to prepare food. The young lady offered to refill my Diet Coke after I picked up my sandwich to leave which was the only redeeming part of this experience. It gets better. As I'm walking to my car, I'm seeing sauce and oil leaking out of the bag. How is this possible? Assuming the hot sandwich was wrapped in foil. It wasn't. Just on a paper plate. In a bag. No napkins. Beyond a bad experience. I threw it out immediately without ever trying it. I would never try this place again because I can't even imagine what other absurdly unsafe practices go on. I ordered takeout from this place today because I've been in the mood for Italian, and let me tell you--the food was so good!!! I got the seafood pescatore and the flavors were soo rich and delicious, and the seafood was excellent. It includes mussels, calamari, shrimp, and scallops, and I gobbled it right up! The noodles were cooked al dente, and it also came with a small salad. The restaurant itself is pretty small, nestled next to a Tom Thumb. It was very busy though--I was surprised at how many people were dining in and waiting in line for takeout. I probably would not dine in until COVID is over, but takeout is a great option. There are two reasons I knocked this review down a star. Firstly, the food was not packed very well, with sauce spilling out of the aluminum container, and the salad dressing was likewise spilling out of the container. That wasn't a huge deal for me, but I think it's a small thing that can be easily fixed. The second and more important reason was that I was a bit concerned with this restaurant's COVID policy. The people cooking in the kitchen were not wearing masks while handling the food and everything, so I was a bit worried by that. I am personally pretty strict about COVID guidelines, so I probably would not go back to the restaurant until it's safer to do so. read more

In short, great Italian food for a reasonable price and it's BYOB. They bring out garlic dinner rolls with a marinara to start which are amazing. I've tried a few entrees here and all are excellent. My favorite is the Penne Pomodoro! The staff is very fun and the environment is comfortable and warm. Do not forget to bring a bottle of wine! read more

Ordered through slice and nobody picked my order up for over an HOUR. Adriano's was still very understanding and I cancelled my order and they remade it considering it was just sitting there for an hour. I ordered fettuccine alfredo with chicken added and my boyfriend got a medium pepperoni pizza. Came with garlic knots, delicious!!! Especially delicious dipped in the alfredo sauce. -1 star because the sauce was so extremely rich I could not finish it and the pasta/chicken was swimming, but I will have it for lunch tomorrow. Boyfriend loved his pizza and ate 5 slices all by himself. Just do NOT order from Slice online if you want your order ASAP!!!! Edit: make that 6 slices!! read more

This restaurant is a hidden gem and one of the best Italian restaurants in the Plano area. The garlic bread was great, minestrone was some of the best I've had and the homemade meatballs were out of this world. The service was also outstanding. Ashley did a super job. I'd recommend this to anyone who loves great Italian food and is looking for a family-owned restaurant with homemade recipes. Soooo, I ordered the Shrimp and Scallops Alfredo along with a couple other things (pizza & spaghetti) online for pick up. The food was just ok. The kicker is they were out of scallops so the "cook (not chef)" decided to replace it with calamari (if that's what you want to call it, a small rubbery substance the size of a cheerio). They are lucky I'm not allergic to calamari. Also, the shrimp still had the tail on. They had my phone number but didn't bother to call to let me know. I did get a refund for the $18 meal but needless to say I won't go back. I should have asked for my tip back as well. read more

Honestly. I'm all for greasy pizza on a night out after drinking, and if thats what you're wanting, order from this place. The pizza and pasta is just covered in oil and taste like great value cheese. I almost couldn't even open the pasta up because the kid was covered in grease and cheese. Frozen pizza crust, waaaaaay overcooked seafood (a great portion canned), in poor sauces. The pasta was al dente. Leads one to believe some line cooks decided to open their own place. This place is fantastic. My wife and I have been twice and it is The best Italian food I've had in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Everything tastes fresh, it's BYOB which is a big plus with no corkage charge, there's just nothing to complain about. The Alma cream sauce is amazing. The shrimp were large and the most fresh we have had at an Italian restaurant in the area. It is kind of far from our house but we will drive by other Italian restaurants to come here more often. I ate here and was not impressed. The food was pretty bland. I had eggplant parmesan. Quite frankly, I've had much better. Their bread sticks were very good and reminded me of Francesca's bread sticks. Service was spotty. I suspect that they are experiencing what other establishments are experiencing - not enough staff. My biggest complaint was getting home and seeing that the amount of the charge on my credit card had been increased by $10! Unbelievable. This is by far one of my favorite go-to's. Everything is always so fresh. I'm not a big review person, but after trying their recent "special", I felt a review was needed. If you like a spicy creamy Alfredo without it being too heavy, this was amazing. I opted without salmon (chicken was an option) and it had a good amount amount veggies. Five stars! The rolls were amazing. I shared a fettuccini with Alma (pink) Sauce with my toddler and we loved it. My in-laws has some sort of spaghetti thing and they raved about it, too. I stopped in last week while running errands. I used to go to the prior pizza place that occupied the same spot. They've updated the decor and expanded the dining area and menu. It is NOT the same owners--it is a completely different restaurant and the atmosphere welcomes you, and the food wows you. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I came back today because the pizza I had last week was so awesome. The complimentary bread and marinara sauce are brought out first and were really good. I've enjoyed the margherita pizza with artichokes. The crust is light yet crispy and it holds the ingredients well. They do something unique with a garlic oil that really ups the flavors of the pizza but without it being greasy. They have a full menu of other entrees and pastas and sandwiches which I will definitely try on another visit. Do yourself a favor and go try this place.
