The business has vastly changed since a few years ago. The owner installed the garage door initially for us. One of the doors stopped opening after several months. We thought it was covered by the warranty, so we asked the owner to inspect and didn't seek for multiple quotes. We made the appointment, and the owner told us he would come. Then a sub-contractor showed up and provided low-quality and much over-priced service. After our initial bad review, the owner contacted us to take down the review and offered to not deposit the check. They still deposited the checks and after a couple of months the issue is still unresolved. The business has lost our trust completely. read more

Went with this company because they were a bit cheaper. In this case, I got what I paid for. Repair man came and I let him go to work repairing a spring. I was inside and heard a loud bang and ran out to garage. He was picking himself up as he had fallen and his step ladder had tipped over. I hung out in the garage organizing things but really to keep an eye on him. Ultimately, he couldn't fix the spring and needed to come back the next day with another part which cost me $50 more. He came back the next day and I insisted in moving my new vehicle out of the garage understanding what happened the previous day. Thank goodness I did because he slipped off his step ladder again and was hanging from the garage track. Ultimately, the job was done but took multiple days, cost extra, and was stressful having to monitor the repair man. You get what you pay for. read more

He was personable and worked around my schedule to meet me in the evening to look at our ancient garage door. We had multiple challenges - not level floor, settled stricture and very old hardware which needs to be replaced. He walked me through the options, took tons of measurements so that he knew exactly what we were dealing with due to the leveling and even fixed my current door ( as it was off the track) and he didn't want to leave it that way as it wasn't safe for us. I had a problem in my garage door which couldn't be open today (Sunday morning). I contacted USA Garage Doors since they open on Sunday and seem to have good reviews. I was lazy in getting quotes from multiple places and was not very careful in choosing the contractor. It was my fault. When I called them (425-961-9427), the guy in the office told me that a technician will call me. I got a call from (425-553-9199) and they scheduled a service same day (today). He arrived a bit late and told me the spring was broken. He gave a quote to replace it. He charged me $700 for the part. With labor and tax, it was about 1K. I thought it's expensive, but it was the first time for me to hire someone for garage door so I wasn't sure what would be the right price. And, I thought I contacted a company with good reviews from many folks (this is a mistake). Since he was ready to start work and I ended up letting him do the work. He completed the work and I paid. After that, I felt something wrong, so I did some research and I realized that the guy was actually not from USA Garage Doors. He was from Garage Door Service & Repair with phone number 425-553-9199. As a business owner myself I am completely disgusted with this company. Told me the bill was $300 and then when the job is done the bill is now $875 without giving me a call or me consenting to the job. Literally told me one price and did a whole other job adding $500 in parts without consent. Also, the extra $500 in parts were the two pulleys, and the tension spring. I am a hands on guy and to get charged $500 for parts that MSRP around $120 is ridiculous. I sell parts for a living!!!!!! I looked up the exact parts installed, the exact manufacturer and got the MSRP price. These guys went ahead and added so much markup then tried giving a slight discount thinking it would help. I don't care about this money. I care about the next person who uses this company and gets taken advantage of!!! I will do everything I can to make sure my voice is heard and hopefully a few people see this and take their business elsewhere. All the parts in this picture were totaled out to $600. These parts cost $600 from this company! Do your research! Like I said.... $600 for 2 springs ( that weren't snapped ) 2 pulleys ( only one was bad and still not broken ) and the tension springs. $175 in labor and $600 in parts. Our garage was opening and closing on its own, which was very unsettling. Didn't know if someone was trying to break in or if our garage door was malfunctioning. I looked up some garage companies online and found Danny to communicate thoroughly, and he was able to come on a Sunday to figure out what was going on. He was able reset it after examining closely and recommend the best type of garage door opener to purchase. Apparently the one that came with this house is pretty cheap and not the best quality. I think this is just a facade name for subcontractors. I was stuck in my garage unable to open the door (broken spring) and they were the first ones to respond through yelp. I ended up paying double what others have since quoted me, and they never respond to the phone numbers on their Yelp site. The tech that came out was very nice but I thought it odd that he was working out of his car, not a van. He did fix the problem but, as I said, I ended up paying twice the going rate. Danny was the first to reply back to my request for quote on Veteran's day. He offered to come out and replace the broken torsion spring the next day together with pricing information for the whole job. Other vendors offered to inspect the situation and quoted my on an hourly rate. when I clearly stated in my request that "one of my springs broke." At this stage, Danny was the one vendor who provided the quick response with the exact information I was looking for. I asked him to come out the next day and in prompt fashion he did. After a short conversation before starting his work explaining what he will be doing and how long it will take, he completed his work within 30 mins or so. Paid him the originally agreed amount and he provided a receipt which also had written a 5 year warrantee for parts and labor! He also provided some consultation about possible future upgrade for the lifter unit to a wireless "smart" system as I am in the process of making the whole house "smartified."
