Then tell me I'll have to leave my garage door unsecured overnight as they won't be able to come until the next day. The excuse used by them was that they've had multiple people quit lately. I sure hope they don't treat their employees the way they left us hanging. I can't attest for their value, only my wasted time. Update: after leaving negative reviews I get a call from them saying they've suddenly have time for me today and I just don't feel comfortable getting a quote from them now. I appreciate the attempt, but you shouldn't have to leave negative feedback for them to care about customers.

All aspects of working with All Decks was excellent, from beginning to end. The workmanship of the…read morefinished deck exceeded our expectations, and every person we encountered was pleasant to work with. Our project was the installation of an 8' x 11' elevated attached deck. I had whittled my initial list of contractors down to six before choosing All Decks. Cost was competitive but was not the lowest bid. This was the third deck in this location. The previous two were wood. This time we chose to have a composite deck installed, to not have a stairway, and to have the area underneath the deck protected from rain. As this was an elevated deck, it was covered by municipal code requirements more stringent than when the previous two decks were built. We worked with Adam during our initial contact, and in designing the deck. We chose Dekorator planking, Trex handrails, and the Trex RainEscape system. We wanted to minimize supporting posts, as a competing bid would have used 6 posts, and we had seen decks on houses like ours that had 5 to 6 posts. All Decks was able to use only 2 posts by having larger-size (6"x6") posts and by attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor. The All Decks showroom was extremely helpful in choosing materials and colors, and in evaluating the RainEscape system relative to alternative underdeck rain coverings. Kendall did thorough work when he visited to do the detailed yard survey required by code. The level of detail in the resulting documents was unexpected and illuminating. The three-man team led by Chris who put up the deck was professional and unobtrusive. A special challenge was attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor as the current municipal code requires an exceptionally robust connection. Installing this connection required removing several plank-and-tongue grooves from under the overhang of the cantilevered 2nd floor, which is very difficult without causing damage. I was skeptical that it could be done and was pleasantly surprised to see the excellent appearance of the re-installed planking. (As expected, I repainted the reinstalled planks myself.) As for the steel-bar-reinforced concrete footings, Chris meticulously set their height so as to enable the potential future installation of a ground-level deck made from pavers. The gentleman who delivered and picked up materials and the portable toilet was discreet and careful. Crystle ensured smooth communications for scheduling, billing, etc. We are very satisfied with the All Decks team and their work.

They were affordable, knowledgeable, and very willing to work with my needs and my budget. They were able to obtain the permits that were needed which is an important and valuable service. They also took care of the structural engineering that was needed to make sure that we had sufficient support for the deck. Their showroom is very helpful. There are samples and some mockups of decks, railings, lighting, etc. There are lots of options and the staff was great about explaining the options but not pressure-upselling. I felt comfortable choosing the materials and extras with their help. After the project was finished, there was one support post that didn't look finished to me when I looked at it from our dining room window. All Decks was great about coming out. After seeing and understanding what I wanted to upgrade, they were able to install a matching trim piece that made the post look complete. The deck has been installed now since Oct 2024. It still looks great and I couldn't be happier.

We recently had them do, among other things, some drywall work, painting, security camera and Nest thermostat installation, mounting/hanging and wiring (behind walls) of a TV, adjustments to uneven and sticky doors throughout the home, repair of a non-functioning power washer, and work on a leaky toilet (again, among other things). Their range is impressive, and their craftsmanship is top notch. VERY high quality, high-grade professional work product. They even bring all of the necessary tools and materials to support whatever the need is, including materials for painting, etc. Very low lift for us as the consumer -- we really didn't have to lift a finger. The best part? All of them are incredible human beings, who are very easy to work with. Their customer service is great -- we provided our requests and instructions, and they ran with things from there and delivered exactly as we had asked. The work is clean and seamless and definitely worth the price. We couldn't ask for a better team, and we'll certainly be using Bill and his family in the future for all of our handyman needs.

I am far from a professional when it comes to IT installations, but I know enough to be dangerous. And after getting quotes to install ethernet in my 1980s circa home, one never wired for ethernet, one that just went through a significant renovation where I, in my supreme wisdom said "WiFi is great, now! Who need hardwires anymore?" was now faced with retrofitting several rooms and office with ethernet and said, this guy over here, the independent with a normal sounding company name, yeah - lets go with him! Mistake!! After schedule, and reschedule, and delays, and reschedule, we got nowhere with contractor number one. Meanwhile, Roberto and Peter at Those Tech Guys had patiently followed up several times, continued to be pleasant and professional, and AFTER I said no thank you I am going to go with someone else! So I made the dreaded call back - "So remember when I said if things change . . . " Peter was quick to jump on the phone, and walk me through things at every step. Gave me a highly competitive bid, and an install time of only a few days from when I called. They cam onsite, were clean courteous, and efficient. They played with my dog (I mean who doesn't love a bowling ball Staffy Bull Terrier mix?) and made light work of the install, and the final cost (with tip!) was even below the initial quote. This was made possible as Peter walked my home and together we found opportunities to do things more quickly, and save a few dollars along the way. In the end, I didn't choose Those Tech Guys first, but you should. No regrets here, other than I should have picked them first!

One of the cables on my garage door came loose, so the door closed at an angle until it became wedged in its tracks. This happened early Saturday evening, so no one was available to repair it. Requested quotes through Yelp, and received 4, one of which was from Danny. He was the second lowest, but he offered the do the work first thing on Sunday morning. He showed up at the promised time and replaced both cables at a reasonable price, within 45 minutes. About 3 weeks later, the cables became loose so I called Danny. He came out the very next day, tweaked the cable and checked the door's alignment, at no charge under his 90 day warranty. No problems since. read more

I am a disabled veteran, so coming home to a garage that won't open can be pretty overwhelming. Awesome service! Called mid-morning and Danny was out by early afternoon. My garage door was a hot mess, cables snapped, track bent, springs shot. He diagnosed the problem with an estimate in the first 30 seconds he was there and had it fixed in time for me to pick up my kids from school. Our garage door was stuck midway and would not close. I called a few numbers but did not get anyone to come by to fix it the same day. They came out about 2 hours after I called to fix tension in my spring, put the roller back into the track, and reset the sensors. Showed me how to try fixing sensor on my own if need be later. A bit pricey at $200 for 1/2 of service only (no parts). But very friendly and seemed reliable. My garage door definitely opens and closes just fine now. read more

Danny did a great job replacing a spring on my 1940 tilt out garage door. Several companies just said that it was too old, and I would need a new door. Had a broken garage spring. Found them online and they came in about 3-4 hours. Gave me an estimate, and were done in about an hour. Was good to be back on the road. We had a 9 foot cable, but they replaced with a 12 foot cable as the drum could take 14ft. Were knowledgeable and got it done quickly. read more
