Fresh ingredients, tasty tacos, good prices with a huge helping of southern hospitality!! My tacos were so delicious, they tasted homemade, and so fresh. My husbands quesadilla was huge and filled with plenty of chicken he couldn't even finish it! Paula apologize for just running out of rice and gave us some delicious cupcakes for free as an apology for no rice. You can see the love and care in this restaurant and it shines through in their delicious food. Come enjoy this local secret spot and bless this couple and support local business, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED, I promise!

Black bean taco and a chicken taco

Great 1st experience at Joe's! I tried a black bean taco and a chicken taco, both were very delicious! The corn tortillas are some of the best I've ever had. The tacos were very flavorful and it was $10 for 2 tacos. I ordered in the restaurant and took them togo. They also have online ordering or the option to eat there. They have tacos, burritos, daily specials, and more. It is also shared with Paula's Zzerts, so you can grab yummy desserts while you're here also. This is a cool new place that used to just be a food truck, but now has the stand alone restaurant as well. Definitely worth stopping in. The staff was very friendly and service was quick. They're closed Sundays and Monday's and right now they close at 7pm the days they're open so get there early. It is the perfect lunch spot or something to stop in right after getting off work.

This place is tucked away a bit in the Walmart shopping center area, and it appears to be in an old fast food restaurant. Thankfully, Google maps got us there without a problem. The taco joint is also home to a desserts bakery, which is kind of a best of both worlds situation. We ordered a peanut butter, caramel, chocolate chip, and oatmeal raisin cookie to try several. My wife and I agreed oatmeal raisin was the best, and caramel was the worst (I had thought perhaps it would have caramel chips/bits, but it was just a dark sugar cookie?). We had barely finished those when our food came out to us. My wife ordered the taco combo to try the barbecoa, chicken, and carnitas, and carnitas was the clear winner, although they were all delicious. My wife thought the chicken one was a bit too bland, but adding hot sauce seems to have helped. The rice and beans were also really good, as were the salsa and chips. My chorizo spiced patty melt was delicious, and the pickled jalapeno was a great garnish to boost some spice as needed. We'll definitely be going back, but our kids don't care for Mexican food yet, so it will stay a lunch date place for now.

Overpriced and horrible! We had street tacos and cheesesteak sandwich. Both were equally as bad. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

This location is truly a hidden gem tucked next to TitleMax across from Captain D's. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately welcomed and seated. We decided to sit outside on the patio, which was a nice vibe. They had traditional Spanish music playing inside, which really added to the experience, and the overall atmosphere was very clean and welcoming. The restrooms were also clean, which I always appreciate. We started with the guacamole fresco and it was amazing, super fresh and exactly how I like it. I ordered the chicken quesadilla for $12 along with a sparkling water, and my partner got the lengua tacos with a side of refried beans. Not to mention, the presentation of these dishes were very satisfying to look at. Our food came out in under 10 minutes, which honestly surprised us in the best way! The staff checked on us consistently and made sure everything was good. My quesadilla came out hot and delicious, and the portions were very generous. Both of us left full and happy, and for the price, it was more than worth it. I'd recommend this place to any crowd really whether that be families, a casual lunch, a gathering, or even a date spot. This will definitely be my go-to Mexican restaurant, and next time I come back I absolutely want to try the quesabirria and the churros.

Clean, small place but big on flavor and customer service. We were immediately welcomed upon arrival and asked where we wanted to be seated as we were the only customers at this early hour. We ordered cheese dip and an app that I cannot remember the name of but was absolutely delicious. We ordered kids chicken nuggets, kids taco, grilled veggie quesadilla, and two other meals that their names escape me but all was delicious. We highly recommend a stop here for a delicious meal anytime they are open. We will be back!

No one in town charges more for a beer than this place. For example, I enjoy local IPAs and Creature Comforts (Athens) is everywhere. I can go to several other stops in town and pay less for a 16 oz can or pour of this beer. Compared to another decent stop down the street, three roses is almost 30% more. My wife says one of the wines she likes is a little less than other stops, so that's good. But other drink prices tend to be on the high side as well, but most in town have higher liquor prices. That adds up if you like to frequent a place. Hence, we stopped frequenting. Overall, I like the decor and as noted, the food is decent. The upstairs is better than the downstairs but I'm glad they have the downstairs for some occasion when they could get busy. As for the Tavern / entertainment element, I've never seen any live music but they have several TVs. Not sure this would be my top choice to watch a game but it would work in a pinch if the other places were too busy or noisy.

I sat on the main level which had mostly booths (for 4 & 2 persons), half booths, bar seats, and a few tables. The interior was classy, but the ambiance was not. The mood was ruined by whiny acoustic music, probably picked by the staff and not for the customers. I can normally tune it out, but the uncharacteristic F*bombs coming from the speakers were a mood killer. And while waiting for my meal I heard the following exchange from the kitchen: "Your late!" "Are you going to fire me? Please send me home!" The hostile attitudes in the kitchen was unfortunately reflected in the meal. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fries were nicely cooked. The crust on the fish also looked good. But the fish inside was watery and unpleasant. It was also topped with a mass of cilantro sprigs, which did not pair with the flavors. I managed to scrape them all off. The fish was served with vinegar, ketchup, and (missing) tartar sauce. The friendly and attentive waitress was quick to correct the missing sauce, although it did take awhile. My meal also came with a side of slaw that would have been outstanding if the kitchen hadn't made a misstep of loading it with too much salt. The other seasonings in the slaw were excellent and unique and the addition of red onions was great, but sadly ruined by the saltiness. At the end of my meal I visited their modern and stylish restrooms. I'd arrived just after 5PM and on this weekday there were only a few patrons. So the stylish furnishing of the restroom were marred by the mess I encountered in there. Based on the number of employees compared to patrons, there wasn't an excuse for not cleaning that bathroom. I've seen truckstop restrooms that weren't that nasty.
