The menu has plenty to choose from: salads, sandwiches, burgers and steaks. There is literally something for everyone. I tried the salad sampler, and it was just right on a hot summer day. I also enjoyed a slice of key lime pie! Their wine list is almost totally Texas wines, which I love! Service was super fast, and I was in and out in less than 45 minutes on a weeknight dinner. Started with the chicken artichoke dip and it was pretty good. The pita bread was delicious. I had the settler's burger, and it was good even though not cooked medium as requested. The bacon is a little fattier than I like, so that was a little disappointing. Fries were home cut style....but not crispy at all. He had the stuffed zucchini....which he's never had before. So he was surprised that the texture of the stuffed zucchini was similar to the mashed potatoes. But he was happy with it, and the greens in the side. D had the salmon and although he said it was simple, he enjoyed it. For the "seasonal veggies" he had a choice between zucchini and green beans....he went green beans and they were just okay. C had the gobbler's delight and she was very happy. The fruit cup was watermelon, grapes and strawberries. Our waitress was the biggest downside. Mixed up drinks twice - and considering they take the glass from the table, not sure if I got my glass with the wrong drink or the wrong glass. Not cool. This place was very cute! The interior is a breath of fresh air, with seemingly personal photos and portraits lining the wall. We came on a Monday afternoon and there was plenty of seating! Chicken artichoke dip- it was okay, with plenty of chunks of chicken, however the flavor itself was pretty bland. The pita was tasty and fresh though! Grilled chicken "El Paso" sandwich- Yessum! Very tasty. The chips were a bit cold and stale. Should've ordered the French fries! Fish and chips- French fries are to die for. Very very fresh and perfectly seasoned! The fish was fried well but also very bland, and the order came with no tartar sauce, which should be a staple for fish and chips. Side Caesar- good. Overall, a very cute space and would be happy to return and give some other items a try. Our server was forgetful and any dietary modifications to our order were ignored. Delicious food and great service. This restaurant has been on my radar for months but I finally got around to checking them out for lunch today. When we arrived the restaurant was not to busy and we were able to get seated instantly. The menu offers a variety of tempting items, I was torn between the burger and the Gobbler and opted for the Gobbler. We were seated by the kitchen so I was able to see the food coming out and everything looked appetizing! After seeing several burgers come out the kitchen I began to regret my decision until I took a bite of my sandwich, there was a good amount of turkey and the avocado and bacon made for a very satisfying meal. I genuinely try never to give One Star reviews; I try to consider the fact that most businesses aren't making bank and pretty much need all of the positive publicity they can get to sustain their livelihood. There are those establishments, however, that genuinely "earn" a single star and regrettably Settler's Table (ST) is just such a restaurant... at least during this visit! We were in a party of about 10 and decided to go to ST after paying our respects at a celebration of life memorial service. Since both the service and ST are in Sunnyvale, we collectively decided to go to ST because it was convenient. And, that was a mistake! The restaurant was about two thirds full when we arrived and we were promptly seated. The seating inside ST is not really accommodating to large groups desiring to seat together. Part of our group was divided between a tall pub style table that seated about six; the other part of our group was seated at a regular height rectangular table that seated eight. Since we were there together for family and friends to continue sharing memories of our dearly departed, it was a bit of a letdown to not be able to communicate with half of the group throughout the meal. Our server came with menus fairly quickly and took our drink orders as well. She first brought wine glasses for the few of us drinking wine. She then left and returned with the bottle of wine (Skeleton Key Cabernet Sauvignon) we ordered. After about five-10 minutes, we had to remind our server for the bottle of beer that someone at our table ordered. I patiently waited for the unsweetened tea I ordered, but after another five-10 minutes, I had to ask our server if I could please have it now. She said she would get it, left, but never returned. After about another five minutes, I asked a different server if he might please bring me the glass of tea, which he promptly did. And, not only did our server never bring the tea I ordered, she made no mention of having forgotten it. Our table ordered the Charcuterie Board and the House Made Beer Bread, as appetizers. The Assortment on the Charcuterie Board was nothing special. Although, there was a small portion of the ST house made Pimento Cheese on it that was pretty darn tasty, which consequently made me regret not getting the Horny Toads (deep fried Pimento Cheese). The House Made Beer Bread was utterly gross! It had a coarse, damp consistency, had absolutely no beer aroma or flavor, and just made me regret ordering it. This was the one thing about which, I would have to say, Do NOT order the Beer Bread!! For our entrees, my wife ordered the Rig-A-Tuna Pasta Bowl, which she did not enjoy at all. She said the entire dish was very dry. The Rigatoni was very much undercooked. After only a couple of bites, my wife asked another guest at our table if she could use some of their olive oil. She then took the small amount of olive oil and poured it over her bowl, in an attempt to moisten it up a bit. She ended up leaving half of her food uneaten. I ordered the Fried Chicken Fingers with Pinto Beans and Fries. The portion size of the dish was ample, but the chicken looked and tasted like it had been fried in old grease. The fries were skin on and were just okay. And the beans were the worst I'd had in a lonnnnng time. Underdone and SALTY! By the end of the meal our conversation centered around avoiding this restaurant in the future. Reviewing the check, I did not notice the required large party gratuity I was expecting to see. I should have asked, but I did not. The server watched me fill in a tip amount and complete the signature and she stayed quiet. After she left the table, my wife asked if I added an additional tip. She then informed me that the tip was included in the amount shown on the check. When the server returned with my receipt, there were two separate tip amounts shown. I did consider pressing the issue, but wrote it off as just another part of the overall bad experience. The only other somewhat relevant point is that, I thought the bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon was a bit overpriced at $48. I also actually thought the food was a little overpriced too considering the lack of overall quality. I will not be returning to Settler's Table. If I were looking for a place to eat in or around Sunnyvale, I would opt for something different! I'm very sorry, but this restaurant earned its One Star!! Eat well. Be well. Cheers! read more

Nice little place that has a good patio to sit on and enjoy the weather, if permitting. This place isn't very big at all, but has a decent size patio. If you sit on the patio, there's a sign at the window bar that says order here, but you also get a waitress. So that was conflicting and didn't really make sense. It took about 15-20min before our waiter came out and started serving us. The food is good. Not bad, but nothing crazy to rave about. Just your standard American food. I will say, the homemade pie that they make from scratch there is very good. Go for the dessert homemade items. read more

First time here, was expecting more based on the previous reviews. Common theme here is over seasoned (too salty) with the dishes that I tried. Ordered the cowboy dip, super salty, almost inedible. Chips were good though. Buffalo wings with fries. Wings were cooked well but dry (literally zero sauce on the wings) and over seasoned (salty). It's like they seasoned the wings with salt prior to dressing in sauce. Fries had a lot of potential as they appeared to be fresh cut but weren't cooked right (soggy). Everyone that cooks knows fresh cut fries need to be double fried except for perhaps whoever the cook was today. I feel like the strong suit of this place is going to be sandwiches and burgers, which I'll probably give them a second chance on, but all in all I was pretty disappointed with what I tried today. read more

We also ordered the battered fish and the cow toes ( chicken fried steak) and although the cow toes could have been a little bit more golden, they were still very tender and delicious. The battered fish was moist and crunchy and reminded me of the beer battered tacos we used to eat in Hawaii. Put that fish in a taco with some fresh slaw and call it a night ! All the sides were good and the only issue that my husband had was with the grapes in the charcuterie board, some of them were a little too ripe. But other than that, everyone devoured all the things :) My kid had the kid's cheeseburger and really enjoyed her choice - she said the burger was moist and delicious and she's picky little thing. We ended the night with the apple pie sundae with the cinnamon ice cream and did not regret the decision. It was delicious. The price point for the entire meal was spot on - we don't feel like we were overcharged for anything and the quality of the food spoke for itself. We will go back!! Very nice new restaurant in Sunnyvale, so happy to see a place with some healthy options. Stoped by for lunch, we had the Tomato Basil Soup, Harvest Chicken Salad and the El Paso. Soup was yummy had a lot of flavor. Harvest Salad, chicken was tough and over cooked & wished salad had more variety of greens besides Romain & spinach. The chicken was also dry in the El Paso, I would also recommend a signature Aioli spread to make that a signature sandwich with a unique flavor. However it did have a wonderful bun. Oh and the French fries were fresh hand cut, taste great! The staff was very nice and attentive. I will return hoping to see improvements, as this is a new establishment. But the reason we had to leave so quickly and for the two stars is because the staff was being so terribly loud while they were rolling silverware. It was unbearable almost like they were just throwing the silverware around. Neither one of us could hear the other. It went on for about 20 minutes and we left as it was so uncomfortable. Came here with a group of about 16 friends. Settler's Table were able to take us in on a last-minute change of venue. The waitress was very nice and the food was delicious. The only complaint I have is that we all didn't get our meals at the same time. About four in our group didn't get their meals til about 20 to 30 minutes after some of us got our food. For appetizers, we started with the Horny Toads - deep fried mac and cheese with a sweet jalapeno glaze. To die for!! For the main course, we got the Parmesan Crusted Lemon Chicken. Jam packed with flavor and extremely juicy. Sauteed greens and especially the sweet potato tots as sides complemented the entree. We also got the Boss Burger. Locally sourced Angus beef came out extremely juicy and flavorful. The boss sauce and the toppings completed the burger. Exceeded my expectations for a good burger. Ordered three Coronas. We tasted the beer and it was horrible, barely cold and tasted like skunk, like it had been refrigerated and left out and refrigerated again. I walked up and said "Hey I just wanted to let you know this beer is bad. You might want to taste it before selling it." The guy shook his head and looked at it and said nothings wrong with it. So I said "I'm not trying to get a free beer I just wanted to let you know it's bad." They were big time annoyed and the guy just walked away. Turns out he was the owner. We ordered chips with chili con queso and the bartender grabbed the chips with her barehands and put them in a to-go box and got queso and chili from crock pots and poured it on top.
