We've been routinely using Joe's pizza since COVID started, and we've been really pleased with our new choice of pizzeria. In the past I had visited Joe's once or twice for a slice and some zeppoles and given them a 3-star review, but I'm updating to 4 because of our experience over the last few months. While the pickup time can sometimes be a bit later than estimated (we call ahead), the quality is worth it. Joe's cheese slice is absolutely classic, exactly what you think of when you imagine a NY slice of pizza, with just the right amount of cheese, a sweet tomato sauce, and the perfect crust consistency. We have also ordered a chicken parmigiana slice (a house specialty) and it's my new favorite pizza. The chicken always comes out delicious. We also tend to get zeppoles with our meal and find it to be a great after-pizza snack. Bonus points that it's attached to one of our favorite Italian restaurants, Ruffino, so whether we're looking for a slice of pizza, delicious seafood or some fresh pasta, we're covered. I had met Joe the owner (& cook), he's an incredible man!The way that he runs his business is "golden" five stars! While waiting on our order, Joe had served us some fresh garlic knots, and Zeppoles. Bon Appetit! I never ate a Zeppole before, I thought they were doughnuts at first until Joe explained the Italian difference! Business was busy and I didn't mind the wait. I enjoyed talking to him. WOW. I WILL NEVERRRRR GO BACK HERE My husband ordered a pizza tonight, its 845 on a Friday so we expected a wait. 30 minutes, not a big deal at all. We ordered 1/2 pepperoni, and a calzone My husband walked in to pick up, and there was an older man slamming things behind the counter. My husband waited, mentioned he was picking up, the man grabbed a hot pizza from on top of the oven, opened the box, noticed he forgot the pepperoni and proceeded to grab a bucket of pepperoni from a refrigerator and toss pepperoni on top of the pizza..... ‍ Now... my issue isn't that he forgot, he seemed to be alone. My issue is how it was handled. My husband will Never ever ever say anything about something so as not to make a scene. I on the other hand feel that just like everyone else, we work too hard for our money to get that kind of service. So my husband left with our dinner and didn't say a word to the man. I called once my husband got home and told me what happened. And I asked the man first, if this was maybe just how they did their pepperoni. He said "no I forgot it. Come buy a new pie if you don't like it but the pepperoni will be hot." I explained that a fresh pie shouldve been offered to my husband at the moment it was forgotten, or maybe he shouldn't have been charged for the pepperoni- something to make his mistake correct. He got nasty and said again it is fine the pizza is hot. I asked them to deliver if we ordered a new one and said he WONT do that. Whenever i want a great Sicilian Pizza locally I go to Joes. Has excellent tasting sauce and doesnt skimp on the cheese. This Sicilian I ordered was in the oven just a few minutes longer than it should of been but I don't mind a bit of a crisp just as long as it not burnt. Most times it's just perfecto. Joe's Pizza is a Lynbrook staple. Their pizza is authentic and delicious ! Chicken Parm is wonderful as well as the stuffed shells and manicotti. I also love their garlic knots and on the weekends you can also get some zepoles too. If you want to sit down place Ruffinos next door is also great Both great places! read more

I've been going to this place for years. Always a great pie, only caveat is that I only order a whole fresh pie each time. Like any pizzeria, the slices on the counter are only as good as the time they've been sitting there. Reheated pizza is never the same as fresh out of the oven, I don't care where you go. Joe's make a nice cheesy pie which has been consistently good for years and years. Unlike some nearby competitors nearby that have changed. Also, I recommend the sausage bagels...Nice! read more

I came around 9 for a late bite. The owner, an older man with white hair, was extremely friendly, inviting and hospitable. Best customer service I've experienced. Penne slice was good. Since it was late, he put fresh cheese on top while heating it up. Pepperoni was good too. We sat inside to eat and it was a very calm and cozy environment. TL;DR: Took an hour and twenty minutes to get a takeout pizza, order was still wrong, guy cursed like a sailor and seemed drunk. We will never go back. I ordered a pizza for my husband to pick up at 6:40. By 8:00, he still wasn't home, and we live only a few blocks away. It wasn't busy on a Monday night. The reason he was late was so unbelievable I had to write it here. My husband arrived after 20 minutes, when the pizza should have been ready. It wasn't even in the oven. The man behind the counter with an Italian accent was cursing repeatedly, and would not give a straight answer as to when the pizza would be ready. He asked at least 5 times what we had ordered. He seemed drunk, and also cursed in front of a young kid. He also at one point was overtly flirting with another female customer, then turned belligerent toward her. Then he told my husband to check her out. Eighty minutes later, he got home with the incorrect order and the slices were so uneven that some pieces were almost half the size of the pizza and other slice were very small. Needless to say, the pizza was free. Too bad it wasn't what we ordered. It was not worth the 80 minute wait. Joe's has always suffered from poor customer service, which we excused because they are close by and usually delicious. However, this experience was the single worst restaurant experience I've ever experienced or heard about. We'll be going to Regina's from now on. DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

Sicilian pie is delicious but make sure to ask for it well done and be stern about that. Depending on who makes the pie they either listen or they don't. But if it's done right it's the best Sicilian I've had. And I'm a pizza girl :) read more

My mechanic is across the street from this place so I stopped by to grab a few slices. They had good prices so I got two cheese slices and a cappollini ball. The pizzas they had on display didn't look appetizing. It looked cold as if it had been standing out there for a whole and there wasn't much variety.
