    Chicken parmigiana pizza
    Matthew K.

We've been routinely using Joe's pizza since COVID started, and we've been really pleased with our new choice of pizzeria. In the past I had visited Joe's once or twice for a slice and some zeppoles and given them a 3-star review, but I'm updating to 4 because of our experience over the last few months. While the pickup time can sometimes be a bit later than estimated (we call ahead), the quality is worth it. Joe's cheese slice is absolutely classic, exactly what you think of when you imagine a NY slice of pizza, with just the right amount of cheese, a sweet tomato sauce, and the perfect crust consistency. We have also ordered a chicken parmigiana slice (a house specialty) and it's my new favorite pizza. The chicken always comes out delicious. We also tend to get zeppoles with our meal and find it to be a great after-pizza snack. Bonus points that it's attached to one of our favorite Italian restaurants, Ruffino, so whether we're looking for a slice of pizza, delicious seafood or some fresh pasta, we're covered. Thanks to the Joe's staff for continuing to fuel our weekly pizza night!

There's nothing like real New York Pizza at it's finest! Love this place! The food is fresh to order and SUPERB! I had met Joe the owner (& cook), he's an incredible man!The way that he runs his business is "golden" five stars! While waiting on our order, Joe had served us some fresh garlic knots, and Zeppoles. Bon Appetit! I never ate a Zeppole before, I thought they were doughnuts at first until Joe explained the Italian difference! Business was busy and I didn't mind the wait. I enjoyed talking to him. I can tell that he truly cares for his customers. Thanks Joe for an Excellent experience and learning lesson!

6/1/15......My first time here. Ordered a meatball and extra cheese pie and a regular pie for take out. It was very good. It will not knock your socks off, but it will not disappoint. The Italian gentleman behind the counter was friendly and chatty.

Whenever i want a great Sicilian Pizza locally I go to Joes. Has excellent tasting sauce and doesnt skimp on the cheese. This Sicilian I ordered was in the oven just a few minutes longer than it should of been but I don't mind a bit of a crisp just as long as it not burnt. Most times it's just perfecto. Always good service and gives me free zeppole for my family to take home.

The entire experience made me feel like I was back in Italy. The sourdough pizza was outstanding, and unlike most pizza I get elsewhere, I didn't feel heavy or sluggish afterward. You can truly taste the quality and authenticity of the ingredients. We'll definitely be back. The Pizza Polpettina was out of this world!

I'm driving back from Maryland and I planned to stop at Via Cuma for lunch…read more I understand Via Cuma is a not by the slice pizza shop, it's more authentic with a personal size pizza. I parked across the street (make sure you feed the parking meter) and walked inside. I'm assuming it was the owner, I said I'm so hungry and was asked to grab any open table. The restaurant is cozy with multiple tables which can be adjusted to fit a large or small party. The owner comes over with an iPad, I just want a glass of wine with lunch. No bueno, I don't think they have a liquor license. I ordered a coke instead. This word is tripping me up, I know it's devilish, Diavola? I make the sign of the cross as I order this pizza. The owner explains this is his favorite pizza, I can see why. The Diavola Pizza is made with San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Hot Soppressata Salame from Calabria and topped with Parmigiano Reggiano cheese along with a drizzle of Olive Oil. This is a pizza that's more heavenly than devilish. There's some heat coming from various ingredients but it's welcomed. The sourdough is something that's interesting, I had this dough in Syosset last week. Is this a new trend? It brought the pizza to another level, there's more complexity with the imported ingredients. I also appreciated the cheese, I should have asked if it was made in-house. Via Cuma, great pizza the other day! Thanks for the Italian lesson on pronouncing Diavola

This is much more like a pizzeria. Great they offer vegan options along with traditional. I went at about 4 on a Friday. Be aware that parking can be tough, even with a lot available in the rear. When I got in, it was pretty busy. These guys are working hard on orders! The pickup rack was completely full. I haven't been here in a couple of years. I used to come for the vegan slices. A deal to good to pass was in Uber Eats, so I returned. This time I tried a non vegan option for the first time. My order was Chicken Parm, pesto garlic knots and carrot cake. The Parm arrived hot. It was a large enough portion for two big backs and three if you are a small back. Definitely enough to eat some today and some tomorrow. It was good, But I felt the sauce was a tad bit too salty for my liking. But it didn't make it not good. The good amount of cheese was on top. Nice and gooey. The pesto knots were warm and soft. They had a coding of oil, garlic and pesto. Very good. The meal also came with its own side of bread. The carrot cake was moist and good. I definitely hope this deal continues. I might come once a week.

The chicken roll was the standout for me--it was well-seasoned, flavorful, and not overly greasy. The Meat Lovers pizza was also tasty and satisfying, especially with the Uber Eats promotion they were running. The penne vodka was decent, but I felt it could have been creamier and benefited from a little more depth of flavor. The restaurant itself is fairly small, but the staff member who assisted me was knowledgeable, efficient, and helpful, especially regarding the Uber Eats ordering process. Customer service on that front was a positive part of the experience. What unfortunately took away from my visit was overhearing the owner publicly discussing another I.e 16 handles local business and speaking negatively about its financial situation. Whether intended or not, it came across as unprofessional and wasn't something I expected to hear as a customer dining in. Conversations of that nature are better suited for a private setting, especially in a community-focused business environment. Overall, the food and service were good, and I would consider returning--especially to try some of their other menu items, such as the hot honey offerings I noticed being tested. However, I hope future visits feel more focused on hospitality and less on conversations that can make customers uncomfortable.

The AC was not working On a 86 degree day like you know it's going to Be hot so have it ready and fixed right ? And one of our guest was pregnant as well. So we are waiting and sweating and eating and sweating . We got the pizzas/ octopus, and calamari . All three were on point calamari having not been greasy and a very good sauce, octopus was perfectly excellent, and pizza all hot and crust was good and edible nice and soft as well. Then my son's clams and pasta was good , my truffle pasta had good flavor a bit salty though and the grilled chicken had zero flavor only the trifle sauce made it better. My brother in law had the aranacii balls I think they were and not bad either . My sister got the rissoto if you can call it that. The Rissoto was plain and slaty as well, with shrimp and scallops on the side . It was like you had to put it back together. It's not the worst place but not a great experience and I would not come Back here again unless for apps and pizzas only. And making sure AC works .
