What a lovely surprise. We were hungry for Italian food and decided to give Gallery IV a try and we were so glad we did. This place has a pizzeria on one side and a restaurant on the other. While we waited for our table, we chatted with Tommy who worked behind the pizza counter; he was super friendly and helpful in providing us with parking information in the area Once our table was ready and we were seated, our super nice waitress Grace took our order. We both ordered eggplant Parmesan with spaghetti and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The eggplant was sliced, super thin, perfectly battered and complimented with delicious sauce and mozzarella cheese. It was the perfect balance of flavors and a generous portion. We both took home enough food for another meal tomorrow. This was definitely our first time to the restaurant, but will not be our last. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how good it smelled. That's usually a very good sign. I was with some family and friends and they sat us right away. We started with some hot bread. There was two different kinds, one was flat and garlicy and other was just a plain loaf. Both were incredibly delicious. The salad was next, they brought us out some extra onions, it was all very fresh. Dinner, everybody's food looked really. There was a couple of chicken parmesans, a couple of chicken cacciatores and a stuffed chicken breast. I was the one with the stuffed chicken breast. It was different from what I normally would have gotten. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The penne was good too, but the think the thing I was the most happy about was the red pepper. It worked I didn't have to fight with it or remove the lid to get some and it was really hot. For dessert we ordered Tartufo I couldn't eat it, but it really good. Other then service being a bit slow everything was really good and everyone lift full and happy! read more

You've got to be kidding. THIS is what you think great Italian-American food is? It's a glorified Pizzeria. (Never tried the pizza and probably never will) We ordered take out and they got BOTH items wrong. Brought them back to pick up the correct items. Both the Chicken Parm and Veal Parm were like leather, sauce tasted over cooked. Also, it's 2021, who just dumps sauce on pasta without tossing it ? At least they give you plenty of bread, even though the garlic knots were bland. Also, the younger guy behind the counter was an unfriendly d*ck. If this is "The Best of Long Island", I'd certainly hate to experience the worst. read more

Gallery Four is a quaint little Italian Restaurant which was a favorite of ours when we lived in the area. Run by the nicest family, this is the place to go for a meal that tastes like Grandma did the cooking!! Some waitresses have probably been around since the restaurant first opened and they treat you as if you're a member of the family. The Chicken Francaise, Marsala and Parmesan are made to perfection. The entrees all come with either side pasta or salad - all dressings are homemade. All Baked Pasta Dishes are big portions so you'll have dinner for the next night as well. Not the best pizza I've had but definitely good. Big plus, the Dad gives all the children one of his enormous homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies as a treat. They're displayed as soon as you walk in by the counter. Great for parents because the kids can never finish them, so, there's your dessert for the evening. Extra savings!! :) But seriously, the homemade desserts are very good too, especially the Italian Cheesecake!! Good idea to make reservations on the weekend since the Dining Room is small it does fill up quickly. Ample parking as there is a Shopping Plaza right next to the restaurant. read more

This is a great place to come for some guaranteed good pizza. There's two parts to this place, there's the classic pizza joint part where you come in and get a couple of slices or a pie and sit down to eat or take it out, then there's the restaurant part. The pizza is delicious, very good, just the right amount of sauce, tomato and cheese, it's actually extra cheesy which I love. The restaurant serves up some pretty good Italian fare, they give you a nice bread basket and when I used to I got partially drunk on some good white wine here. The Gallery IV is a small, family-owned Italian restaurant in Lynbrook, NY. I've been friends with the Verderosa family for a couple of decades now. The small, homey little restaurant always feels welcome and inviting and even though I don't live as close as I used to, I still find it necessary to stop by for their EXCELLENT pizza, and either an Italian ice or a warm chocolate chip cookie afterwards. For the sit down restaurant, I have to HEARTILY recommend the Shrimp Monachino. This is the best example of this dish I have ever had ANYWHERE. My dish was absolutely scrumptious! This is a family establishment that was extremely friendly. A friendly older Italian man greeted me upon entering and was patient with me as I wasn't sure what I wanted. He showed me the menu and I settled on an extremely delicious Chicken Parmigiana Hero and a Snapple. It was a nice day so we decided to take a ride to Long Island. When we got to Lynbrook we remembered that there was a very good Italian restaurant, Gallery Four. We stopped in and were warmly greeted by the staff. My wife had the salmon, fried zucchini, a salad plus string beans-VERY GOOD/EXCELLENT. I had the veal Parmigiana with ZIti-VERY GOOD/EXCELLENT. For dessert we had a combination of pastries and espresso -VERY GOOD/EXCELLENT. Service was VERY GOOD/EXCELLENT and the prices were very reasonable. I reviewed and enjoyed a different old school family operated pizzeria on long island so a fellow yelper recommended this place. As soon as I walked in I knew it was gonna be good. It looks old. It looks dirty and it looks good. This is an easy review to write. We are simply talking about good old fashion Italian food. Nothing fancy and nothing trendy. I brought a Pizza back to my office and everybody who had a slice couldn't believe how good it was. Why so good? Because it's just good old fashion pizza made with good old fashion fresh ingredients. I also loved their chicken parmigiana, cheese raviolis, and I hate zucchini sticks but they make theirs fresh and it made me re-think what a zucchini stick should be. The place itself is not fancy, You walk into a small pizzeria part and to the left is a dated looking dining room. The service is great, I went here with a person that is real demanding, picky and annoying and they were able to satisfy their every need. If you are more concerned with how a place looks then don't go here. But if you just want good food then this is the place to go. read more

I have been to Gallery IV 3 times already, based on Yelp reviews. Every time it has been excellent. The lasagna is cooked perfectly... The chicken marsala is delicious, the veal scallopine sorrentino, is delicious. Spaghetti and meatballs, delicious. They give you a nice salad and even include packets of fresh parmesan cheese to go. The wines are priced very reasonably.... not like some places that charge $20 for an $8 bottle of wine. The garlic knots are light and crusty and each time I go there seems to be a different variation on the bread! Service is friendly and helpful. You HAVE to try the potato croquets! read more

Old fashioned and family oriented staff/owners and the pizza is absolutely delicious. Always fresh and it's obvious they always use quality ingredients. Lived in Lynbrook for -3 years and always drove by this spot but never went in, such a shame because this was the best sauce I have ever had here on Long Island . The decor is from the 90's but so are the prices and the food is great. Our new favorite Italian spot , pizza is good because their sauce is sweet and not bitter like most places.
