Ordered delivery and I regret every bit of it. The food arrived in a sad, sad state. Ordered Penne Ala Vodka with shrimp, New England Clam chowder, grandma slice and Italian Cheesecake. Well let's start with the slice, hands down the worst slice I've had in New York and that's saying a lot. It's really hard to find a bad slice in NY but this place has got your back if you want one. Bland, cold and not cooked well. The Pasta, all of Italy is in mourning after this dish. The pasta was extremely undercooked, I love al dente but this wasn't even in the realm, the sauce was watery and barely even coating the pasta, the shrimp no flavor, no sauce clearly cooked in water and just thrown on with no thoughts. The New England Clam Chowder, solid flavor profile just one huge issue. NO CLAMS!!! The Italian Cheesecake was meh, just run of the mill low star bakery quality. I pulled up and was waiting for the bus in 100° weather so the options for a cool spot were a juice or pizza. Of course I chose pizza. At 39 I'm not ashamed to say this it's my food or choice over anything. Anyway I walk in an older gentleman who had the same idea was all smiling and we made some small talk about waiting for the bus. The guy behind the counter acted as if I was interrupting his busy day when he had zero customers to wait on which was unpleasant. And when I tasted the pizza.... It tastes the same- zero flavor, too soft and unpleasant. I don't know why as a NewYorker/ Pizza Lover certain things are just standard in my mind. Soft pizza no crunch- but why? Is it for senior citizens? Should I have asked for extra crispy? It is my fault for trying all the pizza on Long Island. Anyway they had a small parking lot, parking out front, and a front and back beverage station which gave the impression that they are very busy at times. They had a decent amount of tables and are diagonal from the movies. They had a significant amount of flavor options and I believe they serve beer. I sat inside and wasn't offered any pleasantries so I just got up and got my own napkins when I noticed that I was not going to be offered any. They had a steady stream of singles and doubles come in and leave with food to go around every ten minutes or so and two more staff member who were closer to the kitchen in the back making small talk. They were playing the Yankees games and as I sat there fake eating my pizza (bc I couldn't do it) I wondered if they flavors were catered towards aged individuals with a sensitive palate as the 3 other patrons hading out from the heat beside me were aged. Anyway it wasn't the best use of my $4.50 and in their defense I did not self season my pizza so I do not have a positive recommendation here. But I did take a lot of photos. read more

Highly recommend making reservations or you will be hungry and cold by the time you get seated. There is a small vestibule to wait in near the front door with no seating and the door is constantly being open because of all the patrons coming in to check in or leaving stuffed. High energy and fast paced. A little noisy but as expected due to the lively atmosphere. Tight seating but all worth it. Great food, great service and generous portions. We go here several times a year- lunch or dinner. read more

Drove here for a dinner meeting because it's open late and I really love the calm atmosphere. The waitress was very attentive and took our orders right away. Rude late night close to closing obnoxiously joking with other customers who needed to use the bathroom. "One dollar" when a lady asked to use it and when she was leaving the cook haggled the poor woman continuing with the joke demanding his one dollar. Anyways my problem was that I called to place an order to pick up and go like any traditional spot. When I arrived 20 minutes after I ordered they decided to tell me that not only did they not have the three buffalo chicken rolls but that the ticket hadn't even been started. Frustrating enough the cook starts to act like he doesn't speak English although I've been talking to him since high school. I simply asked if he was alone tonight and he proceeded to talk gibberish and I said it wasn't nice to be rude to the lady. He started to get loud and brush it off i don't know. If he didn't want people to hear what was being said or what. Then when I asked for blue cheese with the rolls he said to say please, and was getting loud when I said you need to give respect to earn it. Rude, obnoxious, and terrible attitude disappointed that each time I build the courage to give them another chance they consistently let you down. Ps. Their food isn't even good. The food is solid and definitely house made. i had the clam chowder and didn't care for it because i thought it had a very strong thyme flavor. Let's just start from when you call in your order. I am always put on hold for over 2 minutes. The person who answers seems to be bothered by me calling. I place the order and request it be said back to me because it's not always correct. When you arrive you stand there waiting for someone to acknowledge you. And when someone does again it feels like I'm bothering them again. For a place that has mediocre pizza and food at best they act as if they are the best. I don't usually eat their food. But I received a gift certificate and will be using it up and never return again! read more

Mediocre food. I had to go home and remake the pasta. My boyfriend and I ordered penne al vodka with grilled chicken and rigatoni with meat sauce: no seasoning no taste. Not enough cheese and they gave us red sauce on the side that tasted just like ketchup. Mind you we didn't order anything that needed ketchup. I wouldn't return I had better authentic Italian food. if you enjoy a crisp new york style pizza, avoid this place. pizza is not good, way too thick, very greasy. i ordered half bacon ranch half buffalo pie and neither tasted like anything i've had in the past (not in a good way). lacking flavor and color, the slices seemed identical until closer inspection. regular pie is okay, still chewy, still greasy but marginally better than the specialty slices. wouldn't go back if they gave this stuff away for free. never was a reviewer kind of customer but this is the poorest example of pizza i've ever had. read more

It hurts to write this review because I have loved this place for years!! Love the pizza and never complained about the food, so for takeout I still recommend. But in regards to sit down and service, it's gotten too much to bear. The last five times me or someone in my family has gone there, there is always-ALWAYS-one waitress. The food comes out way too late and even getting a simple drink might run around 10 minutes. (Should someone ever wait over a half hour for soup??) And back to the one waitress part, in addition to getting things out late (which maybe the kitchen's fault too) there are always *at least* two mistakes with the order (and last visit someone that came in 10 minutes after me got their meals first for some reason?). Everyone who works there is extremely nice, no doubt about it, but it's become too frustrating of an experience to sit and eat anymore. And I waited for these mistakes to happen several times before I wrote this review. Everything from the homemade soups, to the pepperoni filled knots, to their basic slices and specialty slices, all the way to their pasta dishes and specials. Want a treat? Look for their halibut special if you like fish. It is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Baked clams are always a hit in my house. Even with my picky eater. You can't lose if you come here. The majority of the bad reviews are from people who called to have their food delivered. Get off your lazy potato and take a walk or a ride and order in person. You'll have a different opinion. This place is absolutely ridiculous. We placed an order through Grubhub for a neapolitan pie and noticed order was 30 minutes late so we decide to call the store and inquire about our order. We explicitly mention that it's a Grubhub order and the girl puts us on hold at first, and then comes back and tells us that it is "already out for delivery - it should arrive soon." Another 30 minutes goes by and still nothing arrives. We call back and the SAME GIRL now tells us that their "internet is down and they haven't been receiving Grubhub orders all day." What the HELL????? FIRST OF ALL, she was the same person who told us our order was out for delivery 30 minutes ago, and now she claims she never got the order at all! She literally LIED to us. This has got to be the worst customer service from a food establishment I've ever experienced in my entire life. I couldn't even believe the audacity. We were hungry and waiting for our food for almost 2 hours at that point, and this girl did not even bother to actually check if our order was actually on its way - and just straight up LIED and said it was coming. What kind of insanity is that... Now get this next: We ask them to cancel the order and refund us and they literally said they COULD NOT???? If you guys don't know how to work properly with your partnered food delivery apps then just don't even sign up with them in the first place. This is completely unacceptable. In the first place, it just doesn't make any sense that their "internet was down" because how would the app know to update the delivery times? We did notice that the order originally said it would be delivered at 5:38pm, and then the time shifted to ~6pm after a while. How did the order even get confirmed in the first place if they had no internet? This was all super fishy and I honestly have a feeling that Vincent's just hates receiving Grubhub orders and purposely did this to deter people from using food delivery apps. I spoke briefly with another gentleman on the phone who mentioned to me TWICE "next time, just order with us directly, we deliver to you." Next time?? Absolutely not. If I could leave a zero star review I would, I have been ordering from Vincent's for the past 2 years, but after tonight: NEVER AGAIN. This is the WORST pizza I have ever ordered. When I called to place the order I was put on hold for an outrageously long time, then the employee seemed incapable of understanding what I was trying to order, a half veggie, half plain pizza, with two rice balls. Once I walked into the shop, I wasn't even greeted with a smile or a hello. I was given the box with no opportunity to open and check the pie before I left. When I got home and opened the box, this is what I saw. The pizza is lopsided, it looks like it's missing a chunk. And the vegetables are entirely under-cooked, and greasy. The mushrooms are slimy like they've been drowned in oil. And the flavor is completely unappetizing. I am so disappointed in this pizzeria and I will never be going to back.
