They brought over at least 5 men that worked from 8:30am or so until 6:30pm. There was not a single broken shingle or broken window. They even trimmed up trees not in the quote. They were nice, fast, skilled, and 1/3 the price of the other estimate I got. He is also insured and gave me insurance paper along with estimate without me having to ask. After reading good reviews and having 2 other estimates we decided to go with Joe. They were easy and quick to contact and respond and the estimate was within our budget too. We had them come out after the new year and the work was done within 2 hours. Joe was very prompt and his crew worked great in getting our trees trimmed. We had a lot of smaller trees and some dead ones hanging over my new garden area and we had several removed and several cut way back. We had a very large Live Oak that needed limbs cleared form the house and also the tree needed to be lifted. I cannot say anything else other than they did great work, were efficient and on time. I emailed this company on a Saturday for quote and they called me back on a Sunday to schedule and offered to come out that day. Talk about prompt! We agreed on a Monday arrival date, they arrived on time with a professional and customer centered attitude. Pricing was good but I had 2 other companies on the line which I informed them; and they took the push back kindly. Later that day, they called back with a counter I couldn't refuse and had the crew here the very next morning; again on time! It was a full day job with multiple clusters of oaks trees; 1.5 acre lot and they did not miss a branch. During the day they asked me to check for my satisfaction twice to ensure they didn't miss my expectations. Not a stray branch was left from what they cut and the trees look amazing. All I can say is WOW! I was impressed with their service start to finish. Upon arrival they quickly got to work and removed two very large 20+ year old Bradford pear trees that had become a hazard due to limbs snapping. Within 5 hours the trees had been removed, all twigs and leaves were cleaned up, and they were on their way.And even better the cost for the work was really reasonable. Joe came right away when I asked for a quote to cut down two giant dead oak trees from my backyard. The trees were about five feet in diameter each, and one had some concrete in it, and the other had an old tree house, so this was not the easiest or most straightforward job. However, Joe gave me an extremely competitive quote (I had gotten two others that were much higher), and said he would be able to grind the stumps down too (many other services do not offer this, or only offer it separately). I found this company using yelp, so of course, I need to reply and tell others that it was a great recommendation. I got 2 bids to remove some dead trees in the back, but also take out a large hackberry in my front yard. Their quote was competitive, and I appreciated Joe confirming that they would not trim any oaks until late June. The other company was willing to trim oaks now and I don't want to risk oak wilt. The crew showed up on time and got straight to work. This was a hard job and they never stopped until the job was done!! it took about 4 hours and they even cleaned up all the clipppings and blew the saw dust off the driveway. We had a difficult 45 year-old Arizona ash to remove, right next to the fence and between/over both our power lines and our neighbors. We were VERY nervous about getting that tree removed without major mishap. Joe's Tree Care was one of three bids we got on the job, and the lowest. After we called and left a message, Garcia Bernal came to make an estiment the next day, and got here exactly when he said he would after calling first. Three days later his crew showed up right when he said they would, and finished the job in 3 1/2 hours. They were gone by lunch when we expected them to take all day, and left everything nice and neat in both our yard and our neighbors. I will never ever use Joe's Tree Service again, nor recommend them to anyone, stay far far away. -First I submitted a request online to be called for an estimate, never heard from Joe's. -I called them several days later for an estimate, was told I would be called or emailed with the cost. I requested an email...always better to have those things in writing, right. -Never got the call or email with the estimate, to this day never got anything in writing from Joe's. -I called again, found out it would be $375.00 dollars for 5 small tress, trees that are only 6 years old. Asked if I could pay with a credit card and was told "sure take a look at the job the guys did and call us the next day or so with your card number". -Was told they would call me on Wednesday and finalize a time to do the job on Thursday or Friday. Guess what, Friday afternoon I called because I had not heard anything, questioned what I was called as promised, no real answer. -Was told Friday that the guys would be out Monday or Tuesday or the following week, by now I was catching on and asked which is it Monday or Tuesday, and was told Tuesday. Perfect. -Tuesday afternoon comes, the receptionist calls and says they are not able to do my trees today but first thing tomorrow. At this point I was fed up and asked for Joe the owner to call me. About an hour later the receptionist calls back and says "well the guys have been working really hard, as a treat the owner was going to let them watch the game (presume World Cup), and they were just going to do your trees tomorrow, but if you really want your trees done today, then they will do them at 4:30". I replied yes I want my trees done today at 4:30. -The guys (2 of them) show up at 5:30 and being the work on the trees. Takes them about an hour to an hour 15 minute's. -Before the guys were even done with the work, the receptionist calls me and tells me to give one of the guys a check. I reminder her that I was paying by credit card, I immediately gave her the number. I was so sick of these people, I just wanted them out of my yard and off my phone. In hindsight it's amazing how eager they were for payment, but the entire other process I had to chase them around. Now to watch my card statement for several more months, just to be sure. read more

First I will say Joe was very responsive. Came to my house, looked at my sick tree. I asked him how much for the removal of the tree and stump. I was told $200. I thought - great. I said "$200 to remove the tree and stump"? He said yes. (the tree is small, so I thought that was a good deal). I got my estimate in via e-mail - the cost was $300 - not the amount I was quoted in person. I responded via e-mail stating that was not what Joe quoted me at the house. They did not e-mail or call me back. I called them. Arianna told me that Joe said he told me $300 and I must have misunderstood him due to his bad English. I stated I thought he spoke very good English - she then said, well his thick accent. I said, I understood Joe very clearly AND I repeated the amount back to him. I asked her to talk to Joe. I considered it bad business to tell someone one thing then e-mail a different quote. Arianna said she would get back to me. Again, I never heard back - no e-mail or phone call. Even IF I misunderstood Joe, I could not do business with them due to the fact that they blew me off and did not respond to me. I was even leaning towards, perhaps we misunderstood each other and cosidering letting them do it for $300, but why should I continue to call them?? They should be responding to me. Sorry, Joe. I thought he was a really nice guy - but to blow off a customer is horrible business. Two stars only because he was timely in responding and a nice guy. Otherwise - one star! read more

I've used Joe's Tree Care twice in the last 6 months. First to take down a large dead tree in my back yard last Spring. During the quoting process he found two more trees that were terminal as they were inundated by boring insects. Had no idea. He removed the three large trees and ground the stumps for a price that was close to what others quoted for one tree. In and out in a day, and the place looked like he was never there (except for the missing trees). Asked him about doing a full cleanup of the many overgrown live oaks on the property. He quoted me a very very reasonable price but said he wouldn't do it in the Spring since it would stress the trees. He came back this week to do the job and all I can say is WOW, the quality of the work and the high level of service provided far outweighed the moderate price he charged. Joe is a tree guy.
