After a very poor experience with another tree company, I reached out via Yelp to Joe's Tree Care to remove a large red oak that died in the winter storm. They responded the same day and we had one of their employees, Gus at our home for a walk through within a few days. Gus was polite and thorough and never rushed me, answering all my questions and suggesting trimming another tree and cleaning up some bushes. He also informed me that they offer additional landscaping and we discussed some other projects and came up with an initial price point. After discussing it with my spouse and accessing our finances, I communicated with Joe, Christian and Gus and they were able to come down in price to fit within my budget and we moved forward. They came out 2 days within one week - one day to complete all the trimming, tree removal and haul away and then back to grind the large stump along with 3 other stumps the previous home owner didn't complete. The crew was also friendly, efficient and our trees look great (minus the one that's gone ) They followed up to tell us they were finished since we were both working and I spoke with Gus on processing payment etc. I've already recommend them to another friend with some tree winter damage and plan on hiring them again once we access what additional landscaping we want to do since we just recently bought our home and are new to the area. read more

Update based on comments by business:Mr Joel, your representatives continue to misrepresenting - The invoice & contract includes "Flash to the ground", after a customer explicitly asks the stump to be removed, your team at minimum misleads the customer and at worst is deliberately lying. I would suggest you google what "Flash to the ground" tree stump brings up - this is listed in your contract. Your team didnt hold its end of the contract twice. Unfortunate business practice for a company that has potential to be good. Mr Joel Bernal Garcia, your Sales and Service manager are dishonest - you may want to take corrective actions in your organization. Customer - get it in writing that they will cleanup and grind the stump. Consider not paying until you inspect the job and it is fully completed. Joe, Your team put a bid to remove tree, they were explicitly asked to grind the stump to level - I have had trees removed before and understand that this is a service that needs to be asked for. This was emphasized to both the person who came to do the estimate as well as prior to finalizing the contract. Your team did not grind the stump and left the place in a mess (see photos below). Prior to payment, I discussed with the service manager - who verbally agreed that while this was not on the contract explicitly (and is not explicitly excluded), he will take care of it the next day as they did not bring the grinding equipment. Given your reputation as a good business, I payed in fully, expecting your team to rectify the situation and honor is commitments. After the initial call, I had even offered to pay extra to the service manager to get things done the same day, which was declined by him. Your team did not show up to finish the job. When I followed up, the Service Manager immediately retracted the commitment he had made the previous day and handed the phone to your customer manager, Steven, who immediately started arguing in circles and walking back on your company's commitment. Take this feedback as you wish - I consider it as a friendly gesture to help a good business owner understand how his organization responds to customer issues. read more

They trimmed front and back yard trees, including a huge old oak in great need of lightening up. Due to growing around a now-gone larger tree, our largest existing trees all lean to one side. They also hacked out a few stumps, removed a large shrub, and even chopped and neatly stacked some wood for firewood (my request). Very happy with their service and fair price! We used Joe's tree care a few years ago to trim our trees and they did a great job, so when we had to get a tree cut down we contacted them again. They responded back to quote request within 1 business day. Joe came out for an on-site estimate the same afternoon their friendly rep called (Even arrived a few minutes early but waited until it was time. We appreciated that). He quoted a fair price and offered to schedule us for the following Monday. They came bright and early on the scheduled date to cut down a tall sycamore tree for us in the yard (that was poorly positioned between houses, power line and fences) plus a few smaller tasks. They finished up in good time and hauled everything away without leaving any damages. We changed our mind on the 'ground level cut' previously discussed and called them again for stump-grinding service. I called and requested a consult for a small job. My Sycamore had a broken branch I couldn't reach and one of my peach trees had several high branches with clusters that weighed them down. Most of the companies I called were not interested in small jobs. To my surprise, when I called Joe's, an inspector was scheduled for a few days later. He arrived on time and was kind and professional. After assessing both trees, he admitted that my job was very small, and offered a fair price to trim the Sycamore branch and thin out the peaches. He did not pressure me at all for the job. Before he left, I asked if I could pay him to take several large tree support beams (one bent) that we no longer needed. He gladly removed them free of charge, even though they were no longer useful. Later that day I received a formal estimate. We have been using Joe's Tree Care since 2015 when his crew took down a 60 foot tall tree in our backyard at our home. We also own a small mobile home park, that we took over in 2017, which had numerous dangerous trees on the property, as well as trees in need of serious trimming/pruning. Joe's Tree Care is the only tree service we consider calling. His crews are professional and careful. We don't know if Joe's Tree Care is the cheapest in town, but we have always found his pricing to be reasonable, especially considering the difficulty of some of the removals he has done.
