Bacon, Egg, & Pepper Jack Cheese on a Asiago Bagel
    Josh R.

The Asiago Bagel w/ bacon, egg, & pepper jack cheese was real good. The service was fast and friendly. The up keep could use a little help we had to clean off our table that was pretty dirty. If your in the area or a local I recommend this establishment. It's their 2nd location and moved here a couple months ago.

Interesting little spot in Asheville. Wanted to grab a quick breakfast at a local spot. The bagels all looked good. It's small inside and busy. We stood in line to order, then sat only a few minutes before our food was ready. I chose an onion bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. It was decent. Price was a little high, even for coffee. My wife chose a plain bagel with cream cheese, it had so much cream cheese on it....not complaining. My buddy ordered a sausage, egg and cheese bagel. It arrived wrong; wrong cheese and bacon instead of sausage. He reluctantly asked to had it re-made. After a few moments they called his name for the replacement bagel sandwich. He went up and took the bagel, brought it back. Guess what.... Wrong again. Cheese was right but again no sausage. He was frustrated but we had a tour booked so he ate what they gave him despite it not being right. The pumpkin bagels they had near the register looked really interesting.

Great real bagels with chewy texture. Toasted with cream cheese , it's a great breakfast.

Love the bagels. Toppings on both sides was a nice extra touch. Quick and accurate service.

Got a pumpernickel with scallion cream cheese. Space is clean. Young person at the register perhaps not well suited for customer service. Jesus

We picked up bagels to take on our hike. They were just as good as a NYC bagel. Veggie cream cheese was delicious! Highly recommend.

I stopped in my first day and got the LT sandwich, which was amazing, but I ended up spending almost as much time looking around the store as I did eating. They have everything from local mustards and honey to tinned fish, seasonings, and a whole section from a local creamery with ice cream, yogurt, smoothies, etc. Everything seems thoughtfully picked out and locally sourced when possible, without having the ridiculous prices you sometimes expect from a place like this. The staff was also amazing--genuinely friendly, helpful, and happy to talk about the food and everything they carry. I liked the place enough that, despite having an entire city of restaurants I'd never tried before, I came back the very next day. This time I got the grinder, which ended up being my favorite, along with the roast beef, which was also delicious. Between the sandwiches, the people, and the frankly ridiculous amount of good shit packed into the store, everything about this place was great. There are plenty of places I didn't get a chance to try while I was in Asheville, but I have absolutely no regrets using two lunches on this one. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. I think everything is made in house and it tastes like it. As their name states, they make gourmet potato chips with varying, over-the-top flavors ranging from salt and balsamic vinegar to ones topped with brown sugar, bacon and chocolate. Between the 12 of us we tried Salt & Vinegar, The Corsica, Southern BBQ and The Italiano. I had the Italiano Panini and The Nori chips. Both were totally delicious. The panini came out hot and gooey. The bread tasted great and the chips were so unique and surprising. I will say that they drizzled a little too much red chili aioli sauce. It was very thick and flavorful. However, after a few bites it was too much so I wiped off some of the sauce. But it was really good, and inventive. Everything is fresh and made to order so it did take us a while to get all of our food, given that we were a large group. They told us before we even sat and we still wanted to try it, so that no big deal. And I will say this. Our table was the last to get served and the food was amazing. Sometimes at restaurants the standards fall when they get busy and that DID NOT happen here. They served great dish after great dish. Bags of chips are available for purchase as well. I'm totally kicking myself that I didn't get some to take home. Gourmet Chip is an Asheville gem!

They sell both pre-packaged bags as well as fresh-made chips to eat in-house. So naturally we tried both! Their Salt & 3 Vinegar chips were delicious. Perfect for an afternoon snack as you're exploring downtown. We ended up taking home some of their truffle chips, which were also tasty. My only complaint was that they needed salt. Not sure if they put less salt on because you can always add more, but they were so much better once we sprinkled some in the bag and shook. They also have sandwiches here - didn't get to try one on our visit, but they looked tasty. Good stop both for a meal as well as a snack.

The smell of fries made me drive home faster lol. When I got home and opened the containers I was blown away of the size of the hotdogs. They both were grilled, topped with homemade chili and slaw plus onions and mustard. I could only eat one and of course the well seasoned fries. They are only opened 11am-3pm Tuesday thru Saturday.

Like many cafés in Asheville, it's a self-bussing establishment, so guests return their own dishes after eating. The cafe is charming, with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. Luckily, the Buddha Bowl and the breakfast sandwich served on a perfectly baked biscuit, and both were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I figured I'd have to get there right when they opened to beat the crowd. Then I hit snooze about a thousand times and stumbled in a few hours later. Somehow there were only three people in line. While the cashier at the counter cut me off after I ordered two items, telling me I was "going too fast"... I thought she was about to ruin my morning. Turns out she was an angel, guiding me to the light. She recommended The Standard, which I assumed was just a basic-ass breakfast sandwich, then told me to get it on the biscuit instead of the bread/roll/bun/whatever. That flaky, buttery, soft biscuit made me feel like I was in heaven. And don't forget the herb mayo--the cherry on top of one of the best milkshakes... I mean sandwiches... I've ever had. The lavender, fairy-dust, moon-water, up-your-ass spritzer seasonal special or whatever the hell it was... also delicious. Such an amazing way to start my day that when I told my friends about it, they immediately wanted to go for lunch. I RARELY, IF EVER, EAT AT THE SAME RESTAURANT TWICE IN ONE DAY. By lunchtime I felt like I should've been getting employee discounts. Hell, it was so damn hot in Asheville I bought one of their tank tops after breakfast... then came back wearing it for lunch like I'd worked there for years. I'll spare you the details of everything we ordered, but let me tell you this: not a single complaint. And that's saying something with the group of professional complainers I seem to have surrounded myself with. If you're reading this, lady at the counter--you were right. I hope you're out there telling other lost souls they're going too fast... and to get the biscuit. Asheville might've gotten the Michelin recognition, but you deserve a star too. Verdict: I'd eat here twice in one day again
