Great place for great food. Their breakfast options and tons of pancake options. Service is really good every time I come here. This is a nice hidden gem on tunnel road. One of my go to's. Great for couples and groups

Food here is clearly homemade and very good! We got salads but there were so many other things on the menu I'd love to have tried. We also had the sausage and veg soup and it was very flavorful. Plus, bread and cinnamon butter to boot! We're just visiting the area but if we lived here, we would surely be back many times!

Needed a quick light lunch before golfing. Order the grilled chicken salad that ranks in my top 3 salads of all time. Don't ever change it! Hubs got the burger & sweet potato fries & called it delicious. He never expresses anything about food so you know it is good if he says something positive! Overall: quick, great portions, tasty, & cozy atmosphere.

We took a break while traveling in the Asheville area enjoying the fall colors. We decided to try something different. Cornerstone Restaurant meets that criteria. Our waiter was excellent and very friendly. We had an appetizer of fried squash and the country fried steak with potatoes. Everything was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was clean and not too noisy at the time we were there.

This spot was well reviewed and was near my hotel so I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. The menu is varied and has something for everyone. The drinks are well made and the food is well prepared with large portions. I will make a stop here everytime I come to Asheville.

Honestly it was a very positive experience all the way around. Modern design inside and I felt comfortable -- big windows. Big booths. Maybe some repairs are in order on the vinyl where it's rubbing off but not torn or looking horrible. Service was very good. Friendly. Quick -- with a little lull when I was ready to go. But I think the staff was pretty busy. Very friendly though. Prices are quite reasonable for Asheville today. I got 2 scrambled eggs with pancakes (small up charge for real maple syrup expected) and added grits. Drank ice water. Came in at $17.09. You can choose to gussy up your pancakes but I went straight. They were fluffy and tasted fine. I probably prefer a whole grain like Early Girl Eatery used to serve. But this was standard and still very good. A really good size. Added white American cheese to the eggs. Again, standard & good. Nothing to say they were outstanding but still tasty. The local stoneground grits however were amazing. I typically add sweet to mine but these had so much flavor there was no need. The menu is extensive. I've never heard anyone complain about anything here so I'd imagine that lunch & dinner are equally as well executed. All in all you're getting a healthier version of an all American place -- with a touch of Italian, Greek & Mexican influences just like a good American old school Restaraunt would do. Patrons were young and old, families and construction workers at lunch. I plan to return with my guy. Thanks, Cornerstone!

Delicious breakfast we had the eggs Benedict with bbq and cheddar grit cakes and the brioche French toast with bacon. Outstanding!

We discovered this place when we were visiting from South Florida, and we had a great experience! Our server was Bailey and she was amazing and was very attentive and friendly! There should be more servers with her demeanor and professionalism!! When we visit Asheville again we will definitely be back!

So much food!! Stuffed blackberry French toast is the bomb. There was probably $10 worth of blackberries on it. Closest thing to my momma's blackberry dumplings. My partner had the chicken Philly. She enjoyed it. Didn't care for the homemade chips, they looked delicious. And cheese curds for an appetizer with jalapeño ranch. I think the ranch was homemade. It was super tasty!

I went to Asheville to volunteer after the storm hit, and ended up coming here with my group for dinner three nights in a row. Worth it every time! The first night, I got the fish and chips with roasted Brussels sprouts side, which I got the next night, too. They were perfectly cooked! I was impressed that even with the challenges of post-storm clean up and non-potable water, they still had amazing food. Everything was on disposable plates but they still managed to make it look elegant and indulgent. I was bummed to not be able to try their breakfast, I heard from multiple people that their homemade biscuits and gravy are to die for. The owner/manager came to talk with us each time we were there and thanked us for volunteering, which was such a kind gesture. He told us they're a family business and have been open for 30 years. Based on the food and experience, I can certainly see why!

What is this garbage "apple pie"? Looks like it's from Food Lion

Worst food I've ever eaten in Asheville. My husbands burger was a frozen patty. None of the Thanksgiving food was homemade. 2 stars for the friendly service.

On the plus side, the restaurant was incredibly easy to find and they actually have parking available, which is always a massive win when traveling. Once inside, we were seated at a high-top table, and our server was very pleasant throughout the meal. We started with the collard green and pimento cheese dip, which was supposed to come out hot in a skillet. Unfortunately, as I started dipping into the center, the middle of the dip was still cold. For mains, my husband ordered a chicken sandwich with a side of mac & cheese, and I went with the grilled cheese with candied bacon and tomato. Both of our sandwiches had the same issue: the tomato slices were cut incredibly thick--at least a half-inch. It made my husband's sandwich really hard to eat, to the point where he just took the tomato off and ate the chicken with a knife and fork. My grilled cheese was fine, but that massive tomato slice was just a bit much. As for the sides, my husband's mac & cheese was on the dry side. Mine wasn't dry, but it didn't really have a ton of flavor. I totally understand that the restaurant is trying to go for a fun, modern twist on southern classics, but for us, the execution fell a bit short. It was nice to try once while in town, but I'm not sure I'd visit again on a future trip to Asheville.

California pinot noir and sauvignon blanc were very good and we appreciated the different vineyard selection. Again, aoli requested on the side. Maybe it is a regional preference for aoli on so many items? House made potato and French fries were both very yummy Brussel sprouts were delicious, nice garlic chili type of glaze. I was in communication with Lindsay for over four months while exploring options for hosting my wedding dinner in their private dining space. Out of more than 10 venues and vendors we considered, she was the only one who consistently showed up with prompt, thoughtful, and genuinely kind communication. Every question I had--no matter how detailed or repetitive--was answered with patience and care. She made herself available through all my moments of uncertainty, which, as any out-of-state bride can attest, is invaluable. When we finally visited in person, Lindsay went above and beyond by accommodating us outside of regular scheduling. Her attentiveness and warmth never wavered. Planning a wedding from afar can feel overwhelming, but having someone like her in your corner brings a level of reassurance that cannot be overstated. Dinner itself was nothing short of exceptional. We were served by Tennille, who elevated the entire experience. She was engaging, knowledgeable, and incredibly personable. Every dish was presented with intention, and she took the time to walk us through ingredients , local farm sourced education and preparation in a way that made the meal feel curated and special. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guest experience--it shows in every interaction. After dinner, we visited their second location to explore their private dining options. There, we met Pierre, who matched the same level of service and hospitality. He went out of his way to not only show us the space, but also recommend local after-dinner spots that could enhance the overall experience for our bridal party. That level of thoughtfulness and big-picture thinking is rare. Bottom line: this team understands that they're not just serving food--they're creating experiences. If you're looking for a venue that delivers on service, communication, and unforgettable dining, this is it.

First, a logistics tip for anyone else visiting: give yourself plenty of extra time to find parking, as it takes a while to hunt down a spot down here. Also, double-check that you are making your reservation for the right location! There are a couple in the area and it can get confusing quickly. As for the food, my meal was quite good. I ordered the fried chicken with green beans and grits, and everything on my plate was delicious. However, my husband's meal was a bit of a letdown. He had the chicken and waffles--he felt his chicken was on the overcooked side, and the waffle itself had the texture of pancakes rather than being crisp. Service was also a bit slow during our visit. The most frustrating part was noticing that our food came out after a table of four that had actually been seated after we were. It was worth a try while we were in town, but given the service pacing and the hiccups with my husband's food, I don't think we'd head back on a return trip.
