We decided to order takeout on a really busy day. We ordered the Cranberry Walnut Salad. Salads are my go to since I can't eat dairy or eggs. I had my salad without cheese--they were happy to leave it out. Yelp says vegan options but I didn't see any on the menu--that's why I gave 4 stars. Some people seek vegan due to food allergies. Service was fast. The food was fresh. The salad was amazing and filling and great for the price. I can't comment on Ambiance since it was a quick online order and pickup. Joey's has always been one of my favorite places for pizza! I know they had new owners so I figured I'd give it a shot. We were out Xmas shopping and stopped in today. Customer service was great, place was spotless however... The girl pulled my slice out from underneath the counter and it looked old and dry. My mom got a slice with sausage, hers was off the counter. Looked dry also. The girl put the slices in the oven, told us she'd bring them to us. We sit down, she brings us the slices and both were burnt to a crisp and super dry. It reminded me of cardboard but super crunchy. It didn't even taste good. I hope this was just a fluke. I absolutely love this place !! My family goes here almost every Sunday after dollar Sundays in goodwill and the pizza and quiet literally everything is perfect ! Not to mention the staff are tremendously nice ! Really gives like a homey pizzeria feel ! Let's start with the Fried Ravioli, we never got them, how do you forget an item but yet charget us an extra $4.84 for extra Cheese on your Chicken Parm.‍ Next up Cheese Mozzarella & Ricotta calzone, I ordered it with mushrooms. There were exactly 6 mushrooms in the whole calzone for which i paid extra. The calzone arrived very soggy and not crispy. Pretty Decent Place for Mall Pizza! Restaurant seemed very clean even the Bathrooms were clean. Issue we had was why we're all the soda bottles stacked in the hallway to the bathroom? Service was pretty lacking as we walked up to the counter to pick the food for who knows how long it had been sitting out (hours or days)! Passing through town & my kid wants pizza. We get pizza at home, on the regular, but it's a treat to see if "out of town pizza" holds up to our weekly fare. We arrived at Joey's around 7 pm on a Tuesday & I was afraid they were closed with only the staff inside. Once we sat down, business picked right up! Several to-go orders, meal delivery orders, and a few others choosing to grab a seat indoors with the refreshing air conditioning. For a place that closes at 830 on a Tuesday, they were steadily busy for the duration of our meal. The oldest got a slice of deep dish cheese pizza. The youngest got a slice of large & thin Sicilian cheese pizza. I ordered the small Antipasto salad with house Italian dressing, and the Grilled Chicken Tuscan Sun hero, no bread. The kids LOVED their slices; especially being able to get 2 different kinds of crust but essentially the same thing. I was too excited to eat before snapping a photo of my Antipasto salad. Crisp Iceberg lettuce, green olives, green peppers, tomato, red onion, paper thin slices of salami folded into cups, surrounding strips of roasted red peppers and fresh mozzarella. Then came the anti-hero. The chicken - very tender - covered the ENTIRE plate! More roasted red peppers, more fresh mozzarella, and a very tasty balsamic vinaigrette. It was delicious! (4 stars since we only tried very few items) Stopped in here after a hobby lobby trip with my 17 month old. I ordered a regular slice, pasta slice and kids order of meatballs. Regular slice was very good and the baby loved the meatballs! It came with 3 good size meatballs and he ate 2 which is a lot! It also came with a hero size side of toasted Italian bread. The sauce was also very good. I'm not a fan of outside marinara sauces but I would absolutely order a dish with theirs again. Staff was very nice. The girl brought our food to us and they found time to check on us even with a busy counter. And for parents, the high chairs were clean! That's a big plus. I feel like 90% of places never wipe down their high chairs. I'll definitely be stopping in again and will order some different items. read more

Under New Ownership Pizza is nothing like it was. They have some good looking pizza but not what it was. I had a slice of something with vodka sauce it was ok. I also ordered 6 wings with a Garlic Parmesan sauce Nice big wings however the Chicken tasted off I believe the wings were spoiled. I ate two and that was enough. The restaurant offered to make new ones but I declined. Also offered a slice of pizza But also declined my stomach was a little twisted from the wings. Service was good workers friendly. I would absolutely love to give this place 5stars! however I haven't tried their pizza!! I did however enjoy their pasta entrees, and from all the entrees I was able to try .. WOW! So delicious. The portions are big and I was able to enjoy the food for two days! The pasta dishes specifically are superior and 100% better than ANY New York pizzeria I have encountered. The chicken dishes included the pasta within the plate. Usually pasta and chicken is separated. Wow. What a place! I truly enjoyed this big difference. I have a friend who lives around the area and I was lucky enough to go here and I was very impressed. The place was pretty busy for dinner on a Thursday night and I know why. There was no wait, someone helped me right away. Since we ordered take out we just picked up the food but from the looks of this pizzeria- it looks clean, and the slices on the counter all looked delicious and fresh. Ordered delivery on DoorDash and got the Miami, the garlic and the volcanic wings. The garlic wings were super unseasoned and tasted only of fried garlic. There was no salt whatsoever. The volcanic wing in simpler terms was just buffalo with chilly flakes sprinkled on. Not really what I was expecting and both wings were meh. The Miami pizza is a square pizza loaded with pepperoni. The only problem that I had with this was that it was on the sweet side. I'm guessing that the pepperoni is sweet? I decided to come here because of some of the good reviews this place has, especially for the eggplant pizza. My main gripe about this restaurant is the cleanliness. The service was overall very good, as two of the workers in particular, were very friendly and attentive, but I am concerned about cleanliness. I don't know what the health code is here, but I noticed that the young man who is a cashier was also preparing food to order. I was sitting at a table nearby waiting for my to-go order, and with the customers coming in after me, I noticed the young man was handling payments with his bare hands, and also picking up pizza slices with his bare hands to heat up. He would briefly wash his hands...like enough to get his hands just wet and then wipe them. I did not see him using soap, so that was a bit gross to know. He did this multiple times in plain view. Their sink is right behind their food display, so it's not that hard to miss if you're paying attention. Don't get me wrong, he was very nice, but I'm not so sure about being sanitary...I also saw a few workers that were behind the register within my view playing on their phones while they're working in the kitchen. That's also concerning given that there are many news articles now that people take their phones into the bathroom, and that phones are even dirtier than toilet seats Aside from the health concerns, I ordered the eggplant pizza slice as many people recommended. I don't think the slices are made to order, but are rather warmed to order, and I understand why they would do that. If you want your pizza fresh, you'd probably want to order a whole pizza, but other reviewers have mentioned the concern of paying more for the whole pizza, so keep that in consideration. My mom ordered one of the philly cheesesteak sandwiches, and I would not recommend it. The bread was toasted, which was nice. The beef didn't have the depth of seasoning I expected, and tasted like it was just boiled and salted. There were some pickled peppers in there, which made the sandwich taste better. However, after enjoying the pizza, the sandwich was pretty disappointing and I couldn't help my mom finish her sandwich, so we ended up tossing at least half away. They do give a bag of chips, so that's pretty cool. We ordered an extra can of pineapple Fanta. I'm not factoring this into the rating because they didn't produce that, but I wouldn't recommend it because the taste of pineapple is very mild, and it tastes a bit too sweet. I'd stick to regular orange Fanta. Overall, the pizza is decent, but all other things considered, it is just a fair pizza place. read more

Stopped in here a couple of weeks ago after I had my hair done because I was starving. I got a regular slice and a margarita slice. Both were excellent. Couldn't get them in my mouth fast enough because I was so hungry. The margarita slice could have been heated a little longer but it had great flavor. The crust which was probably about an inch and a half from the edge was just the perfect bite of soft and slightly chewy and slightly crunchy in some spots. The regular slice needed a little salt.
