I have been coming to Joey's on and off for years and I really have to say that their food is consistent! We have catered from here for large parties and it has always been very successful. Tonight, everything was really fantastic. Their meat strumboli was ridiculously delicious. It has always been good but I just didn't realize how much I missed it until tonight. It had the perfect ratio of cheese and meat wrapped with a very thin breading and tasty sauce to dip in. Their white pizza and New York Cheese pie was so on point. Ok, so their antipasto salad, made me laugh a bit . It had a generous amount of cold cuts (ham, salami cheese etc) but tomorrow it will be a left over sandwich very versatile in a good way. For me I find that this place is reasonable priced for the fantastic food that they offer. read more

Stay far, far away !!!one of the worse interactions I ever had with an owner of any business. I called up to order a bruschetta deep dish pie. I asked the girl on the phone how thick it is and she told me basically in-between a scicilian and regular pie. So I ordered it. I picked up the pie and when I got home it turned out to be a thin crust scicillian with barely any cheese on it. See pictures So I called back and spoke to the owner. He basically told me to go F myself. This is the way he makes it and he has been making it this way for 30 years. I tried to explain to him what the girl told me on the phone but he didn't want to hear it and called me a liar. I can forgive the pizza but not an owner who talks to his customers that way. $26 for aa pizza that is about as thick as cardboard, has very little cheese and was very bland. My husband is a huge fan of Joey's pizza. He is a pizza fan in general lol. The man could eat pizza and Woody Pizza every single day if I made it an option lol. He says that Joey's Pizza is pretty much the closest he has eaten to New York Pizza. I am hoping that one day they will add potatoes and eggs to their menu because I love that. I am more of a burger and fries person and while their burgers are delicious the rolls for me are too big it's almost like eating a small hero instead of just a regular hamburger bun or even maybe a kaiser roll. When my husband does water from Joey's I will order a bacon burger but I often will take the Burger off of their bread and put it on a regular hamburger roll that I have at home because again their burgers are delicious read more

Located in the heart of Milford it's a valiant attempt of bringing NY style pizza to the Penn state. Foods good, as is the pizza, just not NY good. Staff is friendly and there is plenty of seating/parking. Local park and shopping both in walking distance. Not expensive. read more

I had the chicken parm grinder, and others had meatball grinders and a selection of pizza slices. The grinders were definitely the highlight. The rolls were fresh and delicious and the sauce sweet and tangy. The slices of pizza were less of a hit - they were left half-eaten. Overall, they were judged "fine". Staff was friendly and helpful, if not enthusiastic. The final judgement seems to be that Joey's is a solid choice for italian food, but won't wind up being your favorite spot. It's like a badly made bread dough. The subs are not on Italian bread but, again, on their *homemade* bread dough that's exactly like the calzone crust. Awful. The salads had pieces of brown and rotten lettuce, the tomatoes were hard and unripened -- just another no good. Is there an embargo and shortage of olives? The meatballs were not edible. They tasted like store bought, freezer case meatballs. The parmigiana meats were too thick, weren't pounded out, and the texture was tough. The pasta was cooked properly but they were stingy with the sauce and there was a lot of water on the plate which only made it worse. There's no need to go into the issue of cleanliness because others have covered the problem and written about it. There are always guys in the back but they're not doing anything. I used to have no issue with this pizzeria until recently. For one, they constantly forget items and them claim you never ordered it. They don't supply a receipt when paying cash. They've done this SEVERAL times where more than one person I our household has heard the order be placed, they claim the forgotten item and then try to justify why my price was so high yet when I add the SAME items on SLICE it shows that there's almost $10 unaccounted for (the exact amount that the missing item would have cost) I know places have been struggling but their food has recently decreased In quality significantly and there is an issue EVERY TIME. Since covid started I've ordered from them 1-2 times a week so I didn't have to go to Walmart and constantly have to deal with issues. I'll definitely be giving another place a try. My first impression of this place was horrible. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with extra cheese last night.There was no extra cheese on the burger, the burger was severely burnt when I asked for it to be cooked medium well. It was way over well done and was more dry than the Sahara Desert in the summer time. The bacon looked like they just took bacon bits from the store and covered the burger with it. On top of all that, I asked for no bun and the cook doesn't look like he speaks any English whatsoever. The cashier did try to explain that you have to read the order notes when placing online orders, but he didn't look like he understood a word she said. I wouldn't ever order from here again or recommend this place to anyone based off of the experience I had. This will be a lesson learned. Tried their pizza twice now. It's not the greatest, yet not the worst either. I like mushrooms as the topping on a pizza. Come to find out that they don't use fresh mushrooms , they use canned mushrooms. Joey's promotes that they use only the "Finest Ingredients" I think it should be "Using only the finest Canned Ingredients" My other problem is and it's not only with this pizza shop it is with many. If I could give this place no stars I would but then I can't review. This was some of the worst food I have ever eaten. This was worse then cafeteria food. $60.00 worth of pure garbage, in fact that is where all of the food ended up except for the antipasto salad, and the nerve of them to call that an antipasto salad with a bunch of American meats and cheeses folded up and thrown on top of some lettuce. The Italian sausage Parmesan sub was completely inedible the sausage was dry like wafers, there was no sauce on the sandwich at all, and the bread to meat ratio was about 5 to 1. The meatball Parmesan sandwich was a little bit better but both items were served absolutely cold and we pick them up at the time we were told. We also ordered two Italian subs one with lettuce tomato and onions and the other with everything and even that they completely screwed up. When they told me everything was complete I said let's go through the order and wouldn't you know as soon as we started to go through the order one of the items was still missing. I enjoyed the Philly cheese steak today at Joeys, and i will definitely be back. My project manager has been jonesing for this guy for a while, so who was I turn it down. Nice soft onions and mushrooms, and the cheese melted in amongst the meat - but the kicker is the bread, almost a ciabatta roll with sesame seeds baked on the outside. Way better than your standard French roll. My PM also had a slice of the mushroom pizza, which was coated with good looking fresh mushrooms, and I had a slice of the buffalo chicken - which was good, but the chicken was breaded, and the breading got a little soggy as it sat on the pizza. interesting...not bad, not great, just in the middle. I want to try some more pizza and maybe a calzone, but this place is pushing four stars with me when you factor in the price - that cheese steak, two slices, and two drinks wasn't $16. Coming from Long Island (I grew up on a place called Little Vincent's near Smithtown, NY...best I've ever had), I regard Joey's, Village Pizza, and Good Times as the best in the area, although Joey's is the closest to NY pizza I can get. Their buffalo chicken pizza is a treat and their cheesesteaks are very, very good on account of the bread they bake. That said, the dining area is very hot, small, and unaccommodating. You're better off taking out from Joey's, but I do recommend it, save for the compact dining areas. read more
