Our first time there, we were warmly greeted by an older gentleman. He was friendly and personable and even delivered our food to the table. We had the eggplant parm hoagie and meatball parm hoagie. I am not a local in the area. While visiting nearby, got hungry and found this place online, so I called and placed an order. Upon my arrival for pick-up, I realized I have left my wallet at the motorcoach. After telling them what had happened and asked them to keep my order while I went back and got my wallet, they told me not to worry, to take my order and pay them "next time". I was pleasantly surprised​ to find this kind of people still exist particularly when they did not know that could have been the last time they saw me. Food was good. I had been eating here for easily over a decade. I now live in Miami (I actually went to elementary school with the owner's daughter Candy; which is why the place is named Candy's pizza) and this is the best pizza I had ever eaten as the ingredients are fresh, the cheese is high quality and the dough has an authentic taste to it plus it's crispy. If you like a place with tasty pizza, a no frills place (That is clean) and reasonable prices than this is the place to go to and this is why I always come up here at least once every time that I visit my family up in New Jersey. read more

I'm going to need to try this place again, but I would say the pizza is decent. It came recommended to me and I liked the thin crust. What was kind of a turnoff is this place looks sketchy as hell in the dark. I approached it from 206 South on a Saturday night. Driving up from that angle, it looks closed. The first thing you see is a dark storefront with a sign advertising space for rent. When I drove into the lot, there wasn't a soul around and could only see a dimly lit space with a small neon sign advertising pizza. It was around 7PM and the place was nearly dark due to the half of the dining area and kitchen lights being off. The owner seemed nice and I could see other orders waiting, but it was kind of an odd experience. The kitchen behind him looked more like a factory and the decor....well, there is really wasn't any. Again, would need to give it another shot to really form a solid opinion, but the pizza was good and his prices seemed fair for the area. NOTE: they do not take debit or credit cards, which in this day and age is very customer service unfriendly, especially since there is not an ATM or bank for miles. I thankfully had cash but since I usually pay with my debit card, I would have been stuck. read more
