They do fast food burgers nicely. French fries were great. Service was friendly and prompt. Will definitely go back and I would recommend.

Best bakery I've EVER been too! Get the donuts! But more importantly---get the Everything bagels!! You've never had a bagel til you've had a Johan's bagel. The amount of garlic and onion and poppy and sesame seeds on these bagels is like nothing you have ever seen---they are richly covered on every possible inch of these enormous, crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside pillows of deliciousness! Trust me-- don't get just one-- get a half dozen, or more!! They also have the giant sized donuts and made to order deli sandwiches/wraps, salads and soups. They offer a kids menu with includes a lunch option, drink and fries all for only $3.99. They have various beverages including fresh coffee, teas and bottled drinks. Get to Johan's! Great breakfast food. Breads and eggs taste fresh. They could update their hours online as it's always a guess when they will be open.

Chili cheese fries just about as good as Wimpy's in Huntington Beach. Oh yeah! The J Burger (add mayo and onion) and the Olive Burger were . Our service was great (grown men working.) Kind of a hidden gem. Shhhhh, don't tell the fudgies. read more

Great food. The service is not so good. Every time I go there the person who waits on me looks like they have better things to do. Also, you have to pay for water ($1.50). Like who pays for a glass of water at a resturant? Besides that, food is hot and fresh and really good. We got the beef brisket panini, which was great, the claymaker which was also good, and the Chicago dog. The hot dog itself was cold, but the onion rings that came with it were great. For $30, the meals itself isn't worth it unless they become more consistent with the quality of the food and service. read more

Yucky! We have been here a few times and we are not impressed. Fries never taste good, chicken sandwich is about as thick as a piece of cardboard with a chewy texture. Brisquette panini was very dry. We didn't even finish our meals and left hungry. Doubt we will return.. We did hear the burgers are good. If we do try it again, it will definitely be a burger :) read more

Recently moved to the area. Have been here several times. Cobb salad is excellent, quality is far above what I'd expect from a drive thru. Always yummy and fresh. Husband always gets burgers and loves them. Service has been great each time! So nice to have a quality "drive thru" option available. read more

Place is consistently phenomenal. Whether it be the Sausage Egg n Cheese on a bagel (FIRE and inexpensive) or the olive burger, this place always leaves me satisfied. I highly recommend Johans Burger for solid food priced reasonably. read more

I found myself in Harbor Springs for work and a local recommended Johan's for lunch. It did not disappoint! For what it is, this place is fantastic. My burger was made fresh per my order and the bun was baked earlier that day. I knew after my first bite I was in for a treat. The fries were fresh cut and delicious, and I even got talked into a shake before leaving...it was fantastic as well. If you're looking for a quick meal that won't break the bank, give Johan's a shot. I was initially reluctant to try this place out because I thought it was going to be just like Wendy's which is what the building used to be, but it was great! They make amazing food from their classic burger to "The Duke". The fries are good and they add new stuff to the menu from time to time. Great service too. The employees generally remember me by name, they're all friendly and willing to try new things like they mixed a banana with an espresso milkshake when I asked. Selfishly I really want to like this place as it is very close to my home. I have eaten here more times than I really should have only because it is close and quick. Burgers are tasteless and dry, buns are stale. The hot dogs, which the owner says "Are comparable to Detroit or Chicago Dogs" are a joke. Gordon Food Service product does not make a good hot dog. Why is it so hard for restaurants to put put out good food, especially something so simple as burgers and hot dogs. read more

Best burgers in the area, by far! Don't be fooled by the location (in a gas station where a Wendy's used to be). I had a 1/2 lb. cheeseburger with fries and it was outstanding. The burger was cooked just right & very juicy. The bun was fresh (probably baked by sister company Johan's Bakery). Fries were hot and very good. The service was friendly too. Plenty of other things on the menu--wraps, milk shakes w/ many flavors. I almost went to dinner there after having lunch earlier! I am hooked. read more

Went twice while visiting Petoskey. The first time right at closing the manager was great didn't rush us and the food was really good I had one of the sandwiches my wife had a burger and my sister-in-law had a wrap. All with the crispy fries. My wife liked it so much we went back before leaving Petoskey. This time I tries the burger it was great better then any fast food burger. I will think twice before I ever go back! I originally came for breakfast not long after they had opened had a very enjoyable experience and thought I would stop in for lunch. Yuck!!!! Completely different cooks obviously. Because the food was not edible!!! The French fries where over cooked and hard my burger bla and tasted as if it was on day old bread!! And they missed half the toppings I had ordered for what I was hoping to be a delicious burger! When I spoke with the GM I guess (Debbie) she treated me as if it was my fault my food wasn't the way I ordered it!!! She didn't offer to remake my food or refund my money and proceeded to loudly make snide comments about me to her surly staff. Until I felt so uncomfortable I left the establishment. I have since spoken with many local friends that have had similar experiences and informed me who to look for in regards to which employees make a good experience (ie for readers reference....there are two morning workers that make good food...,a middle aged gentleman and a dark short haired lady-if they are cooking your good to go...). But from my perspective a customer should not have to scout out if the good employees are working or not! An establishment such as this should have a level of service that all employees are held too!!! From what I can tell it's the old saying....."It starts from the top and trickles down". It's sad but not having a standard established for their food and service this little burger joint that everyone was rooting for when it opened will be destined for failure!!
