Oh how I wish this place would have been better. It's a cute place and our server did a great job overall. Those are the highlights. My friend ordered the kabob dinner and said it was good...but over $20 for some veggies is crazy. My gyro and truffle fries....honestly I should have just sent them back. This is one of the most disappointing meals I've had recently. They put a tomato paste on it that I almost requested without, but trusted it would be interesting. It literally tasted like cheap canned tomato paste. Gross and certainly doesn't blend well on a gyro. The lamb meat itself had a decent taste, but the way it is served makes it difficult to eat in a pita. Gyros are typically chopped or shaved lamb which makes it easier to eat and helps ensure you're getting more lamb per bite. Served in these strips, it was just falling apart and not blending with the feta. The fries...terrible. Just terrible. $6 to sub truffle fries which seems like too much but I hadn't had them in a long time so had to go for it. Listed in subs it simply says truffle fries, so I didn't know they were going to be covered in liquid cheese. They ARE listed in appetizers with the full description but I didn't look there until after bc I didn't order an appetizer. The cheese was awful, completely overwhelmed the TINY bit of truffle taste, and SO salty! Take a look at the picture and decide for yourself if the gyro and fries is worth $23. I eat a lot of gyros, and this being the most expensive one I've had is the worst. Heads up that they charge a service fee. Doesn't bother me as I always tip at least 20% but no one pointed that out and I'm not really sure what it's for. Does that go into the servers pocket or? Won't be going back to find out. read more

I got a chance to grab a drink here on a rainy Sunday afternoon with friends at the bar and it was absolutely packed! Their bar area is huge and they have quite the extensive food menu as well, while everything smelled delicious, we opted not to eat there and just grab drinks. The service was a bit slow but they warned us of that due to the amount of people they had, which we were totally fine with. It's a great location and they were really chill. Love the food options and cold brews. I had Founders vanilla porter, hubs had Arbor Oktoberfest and Petoskey 1898 Lager. Hubs said the Lager has a lot of flavor for a light beer, Oktoberfest is better than a Sam Adams. I found the porter very tasty, not heavy. The stuffed mushrooms had a little kick but still tasty. Food safety issue - I used the men's room and there was no soap. I advised the staff. One hour later there was still no soap in the men's restroom. I advised the same staff member. She said she forgot. I spoke with the manager, who advised me that the staff, including the kitchen staff, do not wash their hands in the bathroom. They wash them in the back. I was astounded by this. I hope I don't get hepatitis. Other than that, the food was really good, the bartender was great, good beer, selection, but the wait time for food is very slow if they're busy because they have a small kitchen. Tap 30 was an excellent find on our recent trip to Boyne Mountain. We were in the mood for someplace we hadn't been before and after checking out the menu decided to give Tap 30 a try. What a great choice! We did have four teenage boys with us, so it was a little pricey, but the quality of food was fantastic and there was something for everyone to enjoy. The atmosphere was comfortable and I loved the big open garage door - we sat fairly near it so could enjoy the fresh air and people-watching. The beer selection was terrific, and our server let us try a few to see what we liked the best. Both my husband and I found a beer we loved and hadn't had before which is always fun. We split the loaded totchos which were amazing and so filling - definitely more than enough for one person. Our son had the Roasted Lamb Rice Bowl which was right up his alley, a few of the other boys had smashburgers and wings. All the food was delicious and well-enjoyed! Great food- burgers are soooo good! The sweet potato fries remind me of dessert at Thanksgiving. Totchos are tater tots with cheese, jalapenos, etc like nachos! Tap 30 has a great location in Petoskey and they are very lucky to be where they are! The whole experience was just fine, nothing extraordinary but it got the job done of what we were looking for. We were seated right away for a Sunday night dinner which was a plus but we were sat between 2 groups that had loud kids that were standing on the seats, sleeping on the benches, walking/running around our table. Kind of unpleasant but nothing the restaurant can do about it honestly. They have Pepsi products so I had a Pepsi and ordered the smash burger with fries. Like I said it was just fine! If you're looking for a solid place to go for some upscale craft beers and food, this place is a great bet. When we went, it was snowing HARD. Driving there wasn't an easy feat, but the place was still packed which I think goes a long way to show how popular this place is with tourists and locals alike. They've got 30 different beers on tap (hence the name) and a good menu. Honestly, the menu isn't very big but what they do have they do well. We enjoyed everything we ate, though it felt like it was a bit on the heavier side. But again, we went to an upscale craft bar so it's not like we were coming here for something healthy. All the beers they have are shown on a few TVs. Depending on where you're sitting in the restaurant, it can be a bit hard to see. They have QR codes on the tables so you can pull up the menu which is an OK experience. Overall, this was a great place to go to, and I could see us returning the next time that we're in the area. If I could fix anything at all? I would want dessert on the menu. They didn't have anything at all. You could have had more of my money, but alas. read more

We sat down at Tap 30 Pour-house and ordered and after looking at the menu we realized that despite the name being "Tap 30 Pourhouse" at 422 E Mitchell St, it was NOT the same place as "Pour Kitchen + Bar" at 422 E Mitchell St, despite having Pour in the name and being a bar. I don't understand why the owners of both establishments are trolling us, as we just wanted sushi. Rating 1 out of 5 because of this and because my White Russian tasted like shit. Please take Pour out of your branding or tell the owners of "Pour Kitchen + Bar" to stop paying for their domain and website. Seriously, why are they continuing to pay for hosting a website for a business that closed, and why have they not shut down their Google/Yelp location listing? We showed up at 1 on a Sunday and were seated at an outside table. About 5 mins later a server came and got our drinks and app order and the pretzels came out fairly quickly. They were light and fluffy but the cheese sauce had zero flavor. After the pretzels came we waited another hour for a fried chicken sandwich and a smash burger. The server apologized for the wait and said that they would take 20% off for the inconvenience. We both dug in and my chicken was about 70% of the way to being good and the smash burger looked like it belonged in a McDonalds drive thru. See the picture to see where the patty was clearly never smashed so the middle didnt get a sear at all. The burger overall was bland and all you could taste was the onions. The server came back after about 20 more mins with our check and wouldnt you know it? No discount. We got the short rib lettuce wraps, impossible burger, fried chicken sandwich, and triple berry cider. Finally, a place where cider is the same price as beer! It was alright, I wouldn't order it again though. My sister said out of the three impossible/beyond burgers she had on the trip, this was the best. They also had really good tater tots. Stopped here for a late dinner and enjoyed the experience. The contemporary ambiance is spot on and Diners were socially distanced and staffers had masks on. Friendly staff and on the ball timing for refills and food made for a nice night out. We were asked to look up the menu online and ordered. The cool thing about the sandwich lineup was the side options-- tots, reg or sweet potato fries. I had the Chicken Sammy and was pleasantly surprised to see not one but two schnitzel fried chicken patties on that thing. The food here was fantastic. We ordered the Spicy Buffalo Mac n Cheese, and some wings with fries. All of the food was delicious - the Mac n Cheese was incredibly spicy, which was perfect for me. The beer - they have a huge selection of craft beer - many of which I have never seen elsewhere which makes it a really cool place to check out. I was impressed with the selection that I saw, and we enjoyed all of the beers that we drank. The service was pretty good. It was crazy busy in there that night (it was a Friday evening) and tables were flipping pretty quickly, but our server didn't miss a beat. Great place, I would definitely go back. Hubby & I stopped in to try this restaurant while on vacation. It was very busy! Staff was working very fervently & no one was just standing around! Atmosphere inside was really nice! I was hoping they had brews they made in house, but I was told they serve many of the local beers, wines and ciders instead. There were several choices for sure, just none that really suited my fancy. I decided on a glass bottle Coca Cola (aka. Mexican Coke) Mmm! We then split 12 Chipotle BBQ wings, an order of fries and a Caesar salad. We waited no more than 10 minutes for our food! This place is super fast!!! Wings were really delicious, but pretty spicy! I'm one that can handle some spiciness, but these were SPICY! Fries on other hand were nothing short of AMAZING!!! Both of these items were very fairly priced! And then came the Caesar salad...it tasted very good, but cost $16. It was a good portion, don't get me wrong, but not $16 worth. But hey, on vacation, $ is $, right?!
