When you name yourself "The Ale House", you better have a good selection of beer, and they deliver! Cozy atmosphere and good pub grub help to make your beer drinking experience flawless. It's a nice quiet bar with a great selection of beer with fantastically friendly service and clientele. Highly recommend.

There's nothing worse than a beer establishment with outstanding taps but terrible service. That's like walking an extra two miles through a desert to get to an oasis. Table service was non-existent, and so we needed to scream over the locals crowded around the bar to order additional drinks once it got busy. And this took about 10-15 minutes. Forget about paying; that was closer to 20 minutes worth of futile attempts to make eye contact with the bartender. I'll most likely come back next time I'm in town visiting Binghampton because of my insatiable curiosity about what they have on tap, but I'll be better prepared to wait next time.

Maybe a 3.5 but depends on the night. I think the prices are ok. At least they don't and tax after the fact like fire and flame. And I think the beer diversity is much better here. Food is bar food. Nothing more. Not bad but after a couple pints who cares. I think the service is better than most joints.

Amazing beer list. Savory prime rib sandwich. The perfect bar. Nice servers too. In a main drag, east to find.

The vibe of this place is exactly what's needed in America. I wish there were more places like the Union Hotel. It looks so fun and funky, everything is clean and I'm being serious, it's clean! Fried cheese curds and fried pickles...if that's all we ordered we were already hooked! Then our wings came!!! Pry the sauces out of my hands, I had it on my face, up my arms, the wings were exactly what you beg for anywhere else!! The sweetest and most beautiful bartender was an absolute angel getting our drinks and food! Extremely conscientious and attentive during busy moments! We cannot wait to go back...it was a fantastic reminder of what we used to have local to us! 10/10 all the way around!

People who used to go to it now own it, so while the name has changed and some required changes have taken place (RIP the old record jukebox!) it spiritually feels like the same friendly place, with a new outdoors and a great local vibe. Not exactly for BU students, but not exactly NOT, either. They don't mind much who comes in as long as you're respectful. Buy a shirt. Make it your local spot if you live nearby, or if you want to escape the chaos of downtown. The pizzeria next door is actually pretty good too. Enjoy.

Inside was a clean area with tables and the bar. A great digital jukebox that will eat your bills faster than you can drink your well priced beverages. I had a draft Yeungling for $3 and double Tito's and soda for $7. This looks like a bookstore from outside. I love the vibe when you walk in. It actually feels like a speakeasy. You have to open a secret door when you walk inside the lighting the decor is all phenomenal. We did have to have a reservation as the place is completely booked on a Friday night, even the bar was too capacity. We were seated right away as we had reservations, the nice part about the reservations as well as you could text them to get those reservations. We had dinner prior to our reservations, so we didn't get a chance to try the food although the menu that was in a folded binder was lit when it opened a very cool little feature. The drink menu could've been a little bit more extensive for their specialty drinks, however, they had what seemed like hundreds of liquor options for you to make your own or to choose something on the rocks. Our server Nate was excellent, he suggested and recommended different drinks for us, he also brought over a little cheesecake because it was Amanda's birthday this week. Just an outstanding location vibe service experience. All of that. We would highly recommend it and if we're back in Binghamton, we would definitely go. If I lived in Binghamton. This is the place I would bring all of my guests to. Would we go back, absolutely, so much so that we are hoping or would love to see this in our hometown
