I recently had my safe moved from a storage company to my new home. I normally do not do company reviews on Google or other sites, however the service using John Baumann Safe Co. to move my safe was outstanding. Pricing for the move was good, service was excellent, arrived on time and there experts in the safe industry. I have owned my safe for over 25 years and was very nice looking and in perfect condition. I have used other safe moving companies before, the previous safe moving company significantly scratched the front and sides of the safe, they have denied they caused the problem. If you need a safe or to have a safe moved I highly recommend Baumann Safe Company, they have been in business for over 150 years, use GSA certified technicians, experts in the safe industry and overall an excellent company. A few weeks prior to buying a safe, I reached out to John Bauman Safe Company to ask some questions. Mike was very professional in returning my call and answering my questions. Yesterday, Mike and his crew from John Baumann Safe Co came out to deliver a safe i had purchased. They picked it up from the company i ordered it from and delivered it to my house. The price they charged was very reasonable. The safe had to be moved down to the basement. When they arrived at my location, they looked over everything before starting. Him and his team were extremely quick, very efficient, and careful moving my safe to the basement. The 3 gentleman did an excellent job moving it while communicating the whole time and they put it where I wanted. Once in was setup, Mike made sure it was in working order showing me how to use it. I had tried multiple times to open my gun safe and had even contacted the manufacturer for additional assistance. When nothing worked I was referred to John Baumann SAFE Co. Mike confirmed my appointment and let me know when he was going to arrive ahead of time. He was very professional and tried everything he could to open the safe but ultimately had to drill the lock. He was very quick and replaced the drilled lock with a brand new one that would be more reliable. I would think twice about using this company. We purchased a couple safes from them several years ago and had a problem recently opening one due to dead batteries. They came out with 3 people and charged $105 to open the safe which we paid. The next week we had another problem so they came out again just to let us know this time they'd need to drill our safe open and it would cost $200 or they would sell us a newer, nicer safe for $450 and open the existing one. We decided to pass and had to pay $105 for a service call when they could have told us all of this information over the phone. The safe is pretty basic and I found out later we could order a replacement one for $70. The problem is we have money locked in the current safe. I decided to call the manufacturer and they said we could order replacement keys for only $25. read more
