The whole experience was amazing. Zero pain; explained everything so I understood. Quick and pain free.

When you hear the words root canal, you immediately expect the worst! Yet alone having to do two of them. I have been putting this off for years. However, my experience was the complete opposite. I came in dealing with a very difficult and painful situation, and Dr. Buoncristiani helped me when I needed it most. His skill, attention to detail, and genuine care were obvious from the very beginning. He took the time to explain in detail what to expect, made sure everything was done correctly, made me feel comfortable. Furthermore he treated me like a person, not just another patient. You can see he takes tremendous pride in his work and cares about your dental health and the outcome It's rare to find someone who combines this level of expertise with kindness and compassion. I'm extremely grateful for what he did for me and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone needing an endodontist. Dr. Buoncristiani turned a stressful situation into a positive experience. Walking out of his office, I felt a sense of gratitude, both for the care I received and for professionals who work with him. They turn a daunting experiences into moments of relief. I'm truly thankful to have been in such skilled and caring hands. Thank you Dr. Buoncristiani and staff. Christian S.

Yesterday I had my second Root Canal with Dr Buoncristiani. Recently I was told I needed another…read moreroot canal by a dentist and I specifically went out of my way to see him because I had a pleasant experience and had no issues with the first one he did 13 years ago. After a consult a few months ago I came in for the root canal and was slightly nervous since it's been a while and I generally don't like anyone messing with my teeth, but his staff did great calming me down and assuring me the procedure is routine and indeed necessary. Once the doc got started I remembered why I came here I didn't feel a thing and he was very sure handed and great with finishing the procedure quickly. I highly recommend Dr. John and his staff they are great at what they do.

I was referred by a friend, and Dr Wittenauer got me in the same day after multiple days of pain…read morefrom a botched crown job by my now ex-general dentistry large practice composed of merry-go-round 1099 dentists--never saw the same one twice in over 10 years. Having a painful crown experience with the Brand X dentist, I was apprehensive about my first root canal. From the jump, ALL Dr Wittenauer's office, tech staff, and dental assistants were welcoming and very cognizant of a patient's apprehension with the old joke about root canals. This is a procedure where you want a specialist, an Endodontist requires an extra two years of specialized training above a general DDS, with the specialized training equipment, and staff who do these procedures all day with a rhythm between the staff and closed loop feedback between the patient that puts even the most apprehensive at ease. The old technique of doctors using verbal distraction when undergoing uncomfortable procedures is often centered on subjects like the weather, vacations, etc. Dr Wittenauer actually reviews in detail your personal info paperwork before he gets to work and keeps you engaged or quiet--your preference. Updates on how many minutes longer, what to expect, we're done--helped a lot, especially when you're in your mid-seventies like me, and a little anxious. Being an old shop teacher, I appreciated his meticulous work area with his specialized tools and equipment, and his dexterous technique in determining the best path to save my existing crown and tooth, while smoothly removing and "filing" material. His placement of hands, wires, and equipment always put patient comfort first, no dragging stuff across your body, dangling wires, dripping discharges, etc. Sunglasses to dim the glare of exam lights, and mouth "dams" to keep that gritty crap out of your mouth, I'm sure were his unique and effective developments from patient feedback. Also the digital xrays showing the before and after pics on a front centered monitor displayed the super smooth and gently shaped canals after the procedure. Any small "tweaks" to the bite and alignment were handled precisely with xrays, not just eyeballing it or settling for good enough. If I had to guess, he took a shop class in high school and got and "A"--a true craftsman. In summary, if your general dentist says that you need a root canal and wants to do it himself, take it under advisement and RUN to Dr Wittenauer. His calming atmosphere and demeanor, and NO PAIN procedure should allay your fears. His protocol of a personal followup call, and not assigning it to a staff member, on the day of the procedure was also much appreciated--not the norm of my other medical providers. Five days later-- no after effects except total pain relief. It was like flipping a light switch; walk in with pain, walk out pain free. One of his catch phrases heard more than once (my paraphrase) was getting that irritation and pain out of your life and getting back on track to normal. If this is your goal, he's your guy.

Extremely unprofessional experience. My wife was brought in for a "working interview" from 8:00 AM…read moreuntil 4:30 PM and was expected to work the entire day while there was no real staff in the office besides the dentist himself. It honestly felt like free labor instead of an actual interview. Afterward, her calls and messages were ignored for days, and then she was simply told she would not be paid for her time. This is completely unacceptable and disrespectful to people's time and effort. We will be reporting this situation to HR and the appropriate labor authorities. I would strongly advise others to be cautious.

As someone previously mentioned...Going to the dentist is anxiety ridden. Feeling comfortable with…read moreyour Doctor is of paramount importance, indeed. This wasn't the case with Dr. Angell. I was perplexed by the lack of professionalism, disrespect to his Assistant and strange comments coming from his mouth. Never have I ever given more confusing looks to a Doctor before. Let me explain: #1-It was explained to me that his original Assistant had back injuries and was on leave. He then goes into detail about her personal story. (Like, I don't know this lady...never met her). The initial consultation, he was alone. The day of the procedure, he had an Assistant there that appeared to be new or a Temp. Dr. Angell was so rude to her & it made me uncomfortable. When he felt she didn't understand, he'd roll his eyes, cuss or grunt & point and at times try a few Spanish commands on her..."Abajo," "A la derecha," etc. she looked pretty defeated. Very disrespectful. #2-Dr. Angell was running on a skeleton crew and seems to visibly suffer from TYPE A tendencies on steroids. FOUR TIMES during my root canal procedure, he stopped what he was doing to answer the phone!!! They were not quick calls! I'm in an uncomfortable position and he's answering the gosh darn phone! Put it on answering machine dude! #3-His patience for clients asking questions are minimal. I'd ask a question and he'd say, "Well, I discussed that in length and I don't know how much more simple I can make it! It's on the paper I gave you too." I'd respond, "I'm a lay person, explain it knowing I don't understand it all!" I needed a root canal but also have a huge growth (cist or bubble), on my gums. The doctor shared it was the size of a hazelnut...that's big. I asked him why he can't just drain the bubble. His response was that would be painful as he'd have to drill through bone. I stated, "I'm talking about the bubble...not the bone...(soft tissue with liquid in it), he said that was a bone. Now, I'm not an endodontist, but that's a bubble/cist!). The third visit, I asked him again about the bubble/cist. After the root canal, the bubble was even bigger. I started to ask again about draining it. I told him I was perplexed with his initial statement that it was bone. He said, it could be drained. He said, "Initially it was boney and now it's liquid and tissue." WTF? Four days later and it's transformed from bone to tissue? Hmmm...he got frustrated with my questioning and said..."It can be drained by an Oral Surgeon." #4-Dr. Angell's overall attitude with me was very dismissive and condescending. Not a fan of that at all. I'm an educated and retired Educator with many years of education. (Something he didn't know about me). I felt slided and quite frankly spent $600 and used good insurance to have my situation rectified. It wasn't and I now have to search for an Oral Surgeon. He complained about my insurance and charged me $600 which seemed a bit high. Then, proceeded to tell me I can handle it considering I just returned from CANCÚN. Really??!! Disenchanted...Dr. Toby Vazquez
