The best family dentist in my neighborhood. The staff is awesome kind and friendly. The work is great. I love them.

Doctor choe is great and as you can see has years of experience. It's honestly the time management of this office that is very lacking. The last two experience of taking my daughter for a standard check up is ridiculous. The wait time just to be called to the back is tiring long. The last visit was over an hour wait and this time around it was 40 minutes. The cleaning process didn't even start until an hour from her appointment time. We seen people that arrived later and get seen before us. The dental assistant and front desk gals lacks any communication to parents about what the appointment entails unless I start to ask additional questions. I think overall it's not a bad office but just like my experience some patients maybe choose convenience over efficiency. The staff isn't rude or mean, so this post isn't to degrade the office but maybe point out a few key areas that can use improvement if the office cares about the customer service part of their business. After I brought up and question if this is standard wait for the office the dentist assist told me it's normal anywhere. But was empathetic to the wait. Overall a decent office but the wait time is painful long. read more

Even though you have an appointment, be ready to wait at least an hour. They seem to overbook patients and push back all the appointments. It's very frustrating when your schedule is tight. A+ for the amazing staff though. read more

Dr Choe and his staff are amazing. Any comment made about his skills would not do them justice. He is a true Da Vinci of dentistry, a Rodin of root canals, Phidias of fillings. Need you more analogies? His toolbox of skills include everything except pliers. And cleanings which he leaves to the very competent oral hygenists. read more

Worst experience of my entire life! I called well before my appointment to let the receptionist know I would be 10 minutes late. They said no problem thanks for the heads up. I show up, sign in, and take my seat. They made me sit there for over an hour without any update. Finally when I questioned why they didn't tell me over the phone or when showed up that I would be stuck waiting for so long (watching people who showed up well after I did get called in before me.) The receptionist with glasses on the computer to my left was friendly and apologetic for the wait, the receptionist to the very right was extremely RUDE. How can you stand there and blame someone else for your own poor communication skills! I understand I was late, that's why I called ahead. But not give someone a warning that they are going to be stuck an enormous amount of time is extremely unprofessional. This place is a JOKE if you can see any other dentist do so. This office does not have any respect for their patients/ our time. read more

My family has been going to Dr .Choe for years. The first time i went was about 2 monthes ago .... I walk in and the receptionist recognised me because i looked like my sister who goes there. She was very welcoming and asked about my nephews. I had all of my work done already and its been only a couple of months. Dr.Choe was very fun and made me feel comfortable. Dr chou is great, but the 3 Liar Amigas in the front desk suck the big egg. 1. had to wait 1.5 months for appointment for teeth cleaning. 2. had to change my insurance to higher level to get in (took a month) 3. I now pay $80 more per month in insurance 4. they did not book me for teeth cleaning but for x-rays and exam 5. at first they said they could get me in for a cleaning but... 6. later said they did not know what kind of cleaning I needed without the Dr. looking at x-rays, then they could book me for cleaning--complete BS & 3 Amigas trying to save the situation. 7. I have used Dr. Chou for years and hate to have to change. 8. I had to take off work for . . . . . nothing! 9. I could have gotten this settled 2.5 months ago by going to a different dentist. 10. in checking with the insurance company, they pay $57 for teeth cleaning- I would have easily paid it in cash just to get it done. read more

This review is long over due, about two or three years in fact, but I still think how incredibly rude they were whenever I need to see a dentist. The procedure was perfectly fine. Never had a problem with pain and they've always done their job well. Once I came in for a routine cleaning and everything was fine at first. I had a female dentist with short hair. Like I said, everything was fine at first, then she began to play classical music and asked what kind of music I listen to and told her rock and roll or alternative. I don't remember her exact words, but she criticized my taste in music because I wasn't familiar with classical music (yet when I asked her the artist of each score she had to look at the screen, at least I can name the songs I listen to) the score to beauty and the beast popped up and I said, "oh I recognize this one" while she replied very sarcastically with "of course you recognize this one." (After all, who doesn't recognize a Disney song?) After awhile the appointment was almost done the nurses came in and tried to make small talk like most do while I have gauze, mold or another contraption in my mouth. They asked my major in college, I told them psychology (studying to work in the mental health field) and they replied again sarcastically with, "oh that's very important" and laughed. FYI I had recently gotten back from studying abroad in London. At the same time they decided it critique my appearance by asking about my eyebrow piercing. Saying "I remember when I was young and trying to find myself." I was a 23 year old adult, now 26. I am still dumbfounded when I think about this experience. I think they knew they were being incredibly rude. At the end of the appointment they said, "you gotta laugh at yourself." It took a lot of self restraint to not give them a piece of my mind and tell them off. Now, my family has lived in the area our whole lives and always come here. A friend of my mother actually works here, so I do not take this negative review lightly. Aside from the rude staff, they do their job proficiently. read more

My experience with Dr. John Choe's practice was nothing but remarkable. My work involved more than a few appointments over time. Dr. Choe and his team were consistently friendly, professional, and maintained a clean and relaxing environment. While once or twice I had to wait up to 15 minutes for my scheduled appointment, I knew it was because they would not rush other patients' procedures to keep up with the clock. This was reassuring to me and I left with terrific looking and feeling teeth. read more

I had gone recently here for the first time. It was going ok at first. The first women working on me didn't say much at all or even introduce herself which was a bit awkward but it was fine until two other women came in. I was asked questions and I answered why I had not been to the dentist when I needed to go and I had missed appointments before at my old dentist. It felt really awkward in there the short time I was there while talking to them. Then this woman, I believe her name is Alex, had appeared at the door and was basically talking for me and telling the the other woman that the other dentist had said about me but she had a very rude tone which was weird. I felt like they were talking about me as if I was not even there. And she started saying that my mother had filled out my form for me but I did and they didn't bother to ask me until I said I did. And then after my checkup, the Korean woman was being rude when she had seen my tooth was decayed. They all had an annoyed attitude with me but I thought ok, maybe it's just me, I'm leaving soon anyways. When they had seen my x-Ray both ladies were reacting like jeez that's bad and the other said Jeez Louise!!.... Then it's the end of the session, and I'm told to go where the woman Alex is. This lady was talking to my mother so rudely because I did not go to the dentist when I needed to and my tooth is going to need to get pulled out. I aware of tooth and that it's done for but she was asking her angrily why didn't you bring her before; why you didn't you; what happened!? And then she starts talking to me in such an annoyed tone and I'm feeling really uncomfortable about it. She's raising her voice and saying They're going to take out your tooth! Your only a teenager and you already are losing teeth!! They might even end up pulling out three if you don't take care of this!!.... it was so uncomfortable. I know these people need to be honest about the dangers of not taking care of your teeth but wow, she was being really rude and raising her voice at me! I've never had someone talk to me that way in all of the years I e had to get my teeth take care of and having braces. It was unprofessional. She ends up calming down a tad bit then we leave. My mother tells me in the car that the lady Alex said I had an attitude. She said that right before I went out to see both of them. I was like what do you mean? She said that? I was so confused because I replied respectfully but I felt they were the ones who seemed off, especially Alex with her annoyed and angry attitude. It was very, very uncomfortable knowing she said that behind my back to my mother in the few minute or two that I was still sitting in the check up room. I have never dealt with somebody this way since I've been to the dentist and orthodontist. My sister works at an orthodontist and I had always encountered nice people. I never want to go back here again. If you workers are reading this, work on how you talk to your patients and don't let your anger get the best of you because it's quite disgusting. This dentist is great. He made me new dentures after I had gotten a pair that did not fit from Shodhan Dentristy in DHS. He didn't cut corners like Shodhan did! Fit on the first try and I have no problems with them. Very nice and friendly staff, as well. read more

I have been going to dentists for over 60 years and I can honestly say that Dr. Choe was the best!! I needed a tooth pulled. He went through the options of a root canal and after discussion said it should be pulled. Never felt a thing! Even better than Dr. Choe was his remarkable staff. They were all great and very caring. I went back a couple of days later to see about a bridge or permanent tooth and talked to Dr. Lee. He explained everything to me and after discussing the pros and cons of my situation we decided to just leave it alone. Dr. Lee was so honest and I greatly appreciated his direct approach.
