Our experience with this dental office has been extremely frustrating, and we will not be returning. Every time my husband needs a procedure, they require us to pay the full cost upfront and tell us that our insurance company will reimburse us for whatever is covered. This ends up draining most, if not all, of our annual dental benefits in a single visit. What makes it even more frustrating is that months later we receive text messages saying we still owe additional money--even after paying everything they requested upfront. When we call to ask for an explanation, they take no responsibility. Instead, they blame the insurance company or imply that it's somehow our fault. There is very little transparency in how they calculate costs or explain what we're expected to pay. This isn't a one-time issue. About two years ago, we were told to pay a large amount upfront because we would supposedly receive reimbursement from our insurance. Unfortunately, our insurance didn't cover the procedure as they had led us to believe, leaving us responsible for a much larger bill than expected. We understand that insurance estimates aren't guarantees, but this office consistently provides poor estimates while refusing to accept any accountability when they're wrong. It feels like they're always asking for more money, and the lack of transparency and customer service has completely eroded our trust. We expect honesty, clear communication, and accurate financial estimates from a healthcare provider. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience here. We will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

The moment you walk in the front door, you're greeted by the friendly office staff at Mountainside Dental in Yucaipa. The ladies up front are always very professional, efficient with processing insurance, answering questions and scheduling appointments. They're on top of it! Mountainside Dental has several partner dentist, who each have a different specialty (General Dentistry, Cosmetic, Periodontist, Endodontist, Prothosdontist, etc.) so, they can meet a wide variety of dental needs. Cari, who does my dental cleanings is THE BEST-super thorough and detail oriented. And Robin is everywhere keeping things on track, she's awesome. From my personal experience as a patient at Mountainside Dental who's had cavity fillings, root canals, crowns, implants, cleanings and Invisalign; Mountainside Dental does it well. Current patient. I had a very negative experience when I needed emergency care. I was experiencing excruciating pain from lower back tooth, that was affecting my sleep and comfort throughout the day. On 11/4/25, I called to get a same day appointment, however they would not accommodate after two attempts. On 11/5/2025, I went in for a 9am appointment. I was diagnosed with an abscess and cracked tooth. They could not do any work the same day and said I would need to come back the following day. Or another option would be a referral to an outside provider in Redlands. I asked if they can please schedule me for 11/6/25. I asked if they could please try and reach the outside provider to get in the same day. Unfortunately, the other provider was not answering. They provided the referral and said I can call myself. I asked if in the meantime I can be provided with a prescription to alleviate the excruciating pain I was experiencing and they declined. Then they quoted me an out of pocket of over $1200, for the root canal and crown. I questioned the high out of pocket charge and they stated it was because their "in-house provider" was out of network. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of care and consideration I experienced in a desperate time of need. Prior to this I have not had any issues with mountainside. Because of the their complete disregard I do not plan to return. I was able to schedule a same day with my previous provider (who is out of area), and I am paying a quarter of what mountainside was charging. Have some compassion when your patient is experiencing excruciating pain and seeking help. Do better! read more

I had two appointments. One appointment they performed two digital x-rays, which was about two days ago. Then they re-cemented my crown that fell off. I had an appointment today for a simple general cleaning, which I refused the full mouth x-rays due to concern of radiation. The dental hygienist Delaney stated that there is no radiation from digital x-rays. She then proceeded and stated that if you don't receive x-rays, then I can't perform a cleaning. Delaney then consulted with the dentist in the office, Dr. Angelina Ladue. I have been going to this dentist for years. Time to find a new dentist. They left me no choice but to leave. I believe you should have a choice in what treatment you would like. It is a free country. read more

First time patient here and all I can say is "Wow"!!! I arrived at my appointment a little nervous, but all my anxiety went away the moment I stepped through the door and was greeted by the front desk staff. Then I was greeted by Delaney whom immediately made me feel even more at ease. She was so sweet, understanding, and compassionate. Dr. Ladue did my exam and she too was very sweet. Amazing dental group. Everyone is really nice. It's also a no-nonsense dental group, in that they don't try to sell you on a bunch of expensive cosmetic dental work. They have the latest technology, but still feels like a cozy dental office. I had the most thorough teeth cleaning of my life as well; the hygienist really took her time to get everything. Quality of care was by far the worst I've ever receive. taking you back a few years to when I started coming to mountainside dental. August 2023. in for routine cleaning. I was told I had a small crack in tooth 31. I was aware of the crack and other dentist over the years have said to keep an eye on it. Dr. LaDue told me I needed to put a crown on it. I wasn't in any kind of discomfort at all from this tooth. so I declined getting a crown. Jump to September 2024 and again I'm seeing dentist for routine cleaning and Dr. LaDue insist I need to put a crown on tooth 31. I still have no issues or discomfort from tooth 31. So I agree to put a crown on tooth 31 at that time. On September 18th at 9am started the procedure. As the day carried on the numbing agent finally wears off around 5:30 in the evening. The pain from the procedure continued for days I was taking 800 milligrams of Motrin like candy. I was called on September 24th by dental office saying that I needed to come in today because they need to make a new mold something went wrong with the one they took a week ago. I return that day at noon. I informed Dr. LaDue of the intolerable pain I have been in over these last 6 days. She informed me that she needed to redo the procedure and I was numbed up. As she proceeded I was screaming and had tears running down saying I feel what your doing. She then jabs the needle into the gums 3 different areas around tooth 31 I feel all of this. As she continues with the procedure I could smell something horrible on her gloves and the pain continued throughout the whole time. I left in tears and in so much pain I was shaking. I got home and started taking 800 milligrams of motrin and continued to take it over and over again. I returned on October 1st to have the permanent crown placed. No numbing and when Dr. LaDue dried the tooth to place the crown I again screamed intolerable pain and continued for days and days. I called on October 17th I spoke to Dr. LaDue informing her of the pain continue to have. She said I needed to see Empire endodontics and she sent me a referra. They do not except my insuranc. I called my insurance company and was given referrals that take my insurance. On November 11th, 7 weeks of horrible pain I was given a root canal because I had infection on tooth 31 at Cajon Dental. Dr LaDue should have known I had the infection on that tooth. But failed to do anything about it and that was the smell on her gloves. I was to return to Dr. LaDue on November 14th for her to put a permanent seal on the tooth. Here I sit writing this review on January 14th over 2 months there is NO seal on tooth 31 I can see the hole that was put in the middle from the root canal at Cajon Dental. and it continues to bother me. At this time I have to look for a better dentist and one that can help. This has been by far the worst dental experience I've ever had in my 59 years. Thank you, Evelyn Bravo read more

Needed a dentist in the area and was happy to be recommended to Dr. Ladue here at Mountainside Dental Group. She is extremely fast and thorough, cavities done in the blink of an eye! She does try to avoid treatments and monitor when possible. She lets me hold onto the suction during procedures which is helpful to calm my nerves. Also she prescribed a strong toothpaste to help prevent future cavities. I love Andrea as my hygienist she's the gentlest I've ever had. I have always had pain with dental cleanings before this clinic but now I finally found a hygienist that I am not in pain with! My husband has also seen her and he says the same things (and he needed a really deep clean!) In general crowns take about 2 weeks to be made (a temporary is placed in the interim). I love my porcelain crowns that have been done and they feel very close to my original tooth in shape and size. Dr. Ladue is also very fast during crown-related procedures which I am grateful for! Highly recommend - don't delay any procedures because of fear! They are very kind here. read more

Very disappointed in this dental offices' business practices. My husband had a deep cleaning last year for which there was a co-pay. This year he was again billed a co-pay for a deep cleaning that was not discussed or approved prior to treatment. When I called to question the bill, I was advised once you need a deep cleaning, you always require deep cleaning-which I have never heard. I explained that regardless of their office policy, any treatment resulting in out-of-pocket expenses should be addressed with the patient prior to treatment. My teeth look brand new again thanks to her! Dr. Angelina Ladue is the best dentist that I have ever seen. She is very thorough throughout her treatments and continuously monitors for any patient discomfort. I went in for a cleaning and to get a referral for me to get my wisdom teeth removed Delaney was who assisted me with my cleaning and x rays and she made me feel so comfortable in setting which usually makes me nervous and even still scared as an adult. She explained everything that she was doing and made it easy for me to understand what was going on with my teeth. I am glad I followed the recommendation of my friend and tried this dentist. I have to drive awhile to get here but he does good quality work so it seems worth it. This was my second visit and I have had a good experience each time. He doesn't tell me to get treatments I don't actually need. I would highly recommend this dentist!
