This is in layman's terms, but the whole upper jaw had to be moved, lined up and wired. Our son really respected Dr. Cherry and trusted him implicitly. He also considered Dr. Cherry as someone he could talk to (a friend), and that was important for an 18 year old. Dr. Cherry didn't hold back, and explained everything to us and our son about the procedure. It really wasn't easy for an 18 year old to be laid up for a summer with his jaw wired shut, but Dr. Cherry called and checked up on our son many times. Our son looks so good and has a whole new profile, and we consider Dr. Cherry one of the very best. Dr. Cherry's staff is also very considerate - they are all very kind people who are concerned. We weren't a number coming in, but a family that was concerned about our son, and they were wonderful. One of the staff recently left, for personal reasons and we could not have done what we did without her help on insurance - she even gave me her personal cell number so I could call with concerns or questions. I entered with the goal of getting two of my teeth removed however the surgeon gave me a whole lecture about how I need all four of them and assured me it was necessary. He used scare tactics to get me to give in telling me all the horrible things that can happen if I don't get my top wisdom teeth out (which hadnt even hit gum or bothered me yet) I reluctantly agreed and asked about the price to which he gave me no real answers as it depended on insurance. I okayed it and then he used another persuasion tactic to try to get me to agree to anesthetic rather than numbing the area which would've cost significantly less. I am only 19 so of course he scared me into wanting to be put under aesthetic. I wasn't aware of the cost difference because nobody told me. After the procedure, the front desk receptionist told my mother the cost with insurance which was a copay of 50 and my mom and I were so relieved. She paid upfront and then we left. However, in the months following we received a call telling us that the insurance didn't cover as much as they thought and I'd have a 800+ pending charge. I was astonished and plead my case but they never dropped it. They said I could pay it month by month for HOWEVER long I needed. Yet they sent it to the collections not even 6 months later. I'm a 19 young girl with debt from a surgery I needed to get done with extra unnecessary add-on procedures that I didn't need. My credit score has dropped significantly making it hard for me to search for a place to live. Please don't go here and trust these people. They are not genuine and they do not care about you. They care about only your money.
