Absolutely excellent all around. Chipped a tooth and went in to get a crown. Had a temporary crown for two weeks before having to go back in to get the permanent crown. Time for some realism here, enough with these skewed reviews. This is very long because there's only truth in detail: I called in for some pain in my crown. They say, "Well you will have to take x-rays and we have a 55 dollar new-patient deal where you get x-rays and a simple cleaning." I say that sounds great. They get me in on a cancellation (they schedule appointments 2 months in advance at least...he's really *that* busy?!) just a few days out. I go. I go in, they do x-rays but the assistant doesn't even know to x-ray my right crown that is causing me pain even though that's the main reason I'm there. She only does so because I just happen mention it while she's doing the x-rays. -_- Dr. Cho comes in before they ever do the cleaning and starts asking me about why I'm here (should be in my file, but that's ok, most offices do this double-checking sort of stuff). He isn't mean or anything but definitely isn't all that friendly (run of the mill), he isn't all that talkative (again, run of the mill), he seems pretty tired, to be honest, and it's only 9:30 am...He definitely doesn't inspire confidence or speak with authority and direction (as if he doesn't really know what course of action he wants to take with your care). What *should* have been a 3 minute conversation concerning my crown pain and a course of action was elongated to 15 minutes. Then, out of nowhere, Dr. Cho says, "Well, it seems like you kind of have some other things to focus on right now like the crown and such so we'll just do the cleaning next time." And then more or less shakes hands with me and leaves, lol. So there I am, totally baited and switched. Leaving the office having paid 55 dollars to talk to an essentially mumbling dentist for 15 minutes (remember: no cleaning). He *was* kind enough to smooth out a chipped incisor, which took all of 30 seconds (and he took off too much of the tooth in my opinion). But he only did that after I asked twice. The assistant comes in just before he does it and tells me "The doctor will be smoothing out that tooth for you"...I'm thinking, "I know, I just asked for it--twice! He's doing it because I had to remind you all", lol. They love to *implore* you make an appointment (because they're apparently *so busy*). So I made some appointment for my cleaning *two months out*. I would have gone from being 6 weeks early to 2 weeks late (for my 6 month cleaning). And then the Dr. says to let him know about what action I want to take on the crown as if somehow magically he can get me in whenever he wants? Very weird and confusing. So, knowing I won't ever be going back I call back later that day to cancel my October appointment. The woman on the phone says, "Please hold." I'm thinking, hmmm, they're probably talking about how they're about to lose a new patient and trying to figure out how they can rope me in. I was right. She comes back and says, "We actually had a cancellation tomorrow so we can get you in for your cleaning free of charge since you already paid for it." I'm starting to think these "cancellations" are really just open appointments and they pretend like they're doing great business or something. It's really bizarre. But that's inconsequential. I'm thinking, what the *heck* is going on with these people? In what world do you pay for *any* procedure, even a simple cleaning, before you get it done? Much less two months in advance! If this were true and it weren't just a ploy to rope me in as a patient, they should have made my first visit *free* and charged me for my cleaning...but they didn't. Honestly there should have *never* been two visits to begin with, the Dr. doesn't do the cleaning anyway and took just as much time with me as he would have if I didn't have crown pain...it all made zero sense. Zero sense. ----- Here are the positives: The staff are all friendly enough and nice. They offer you little goody bags and have free water and coffee in the waiting room (it's like a millennial startup: mask the major problems with freebies and hand-waving). Dr. Cho doesn't do Cerec crowns (this is a plus, trust me, Cerec is terrible) so at least he made one correct decision there. The dental hygienist (Sarah, only there a couple days a week) is *incredible* and knows way more than Dr. Cho could ever hope to know. I wish she were a DDS because I would have her as my dentist in a heartbeat. When I went back the second day for my cleaning she was super conversational, had very pointed and knowledgeable advice to give me. Was personable with a beautiful Persian accent, I mean what more could you ask for? She knew her stuff better than almost any dentist I've ever had and she isn't even a dentist. Sigh. ----- So there you go, some truth for once. Most of it perfectly run of the mill--even negative, really. Ignore all these five star reviews and realize that you're choosing a mediocre dentist at best. There are better dentists. Much better dentists. Go find a better dentist. read more

Dr. Cho is a wonderful dentist with great staff. They are friendly, prompt, and helped me with my issue! I had an issue with my jaw that required some care. I had originally seen another dentist but they provided me with no certainty at the underlying cause, didn't have the proper technology, and referred me to someone out of network. I found Dr. Cho through Yelp and I wish I had gone to him first! He saw me quickly, pinpointed what needed to be done, and scheduled me the next week for oral surgery (Love that I could get it all done at one place!). It's been a few months since then and my jaw is finally back to normal! Which Dr. Cho had informed me that it would take quite a while. Just finished my new patient exam and cleaning and everything went smoothly, I didn't spent endless amounts of time waiting. The office has state of the art equipment which is a definite bonus in dental offices. Caroline the hygienist was gentle and thorough with the cleaning. I was unable to eat and experiencing headaches due to jaw pain. My primary dentist asked me to see a TMJ specialist. Searching the internet for a TMJ specialist, I found Dr. John Cho. I contacted his office and left an urgent message. Dr. Cho returned my call the same day and offered to treat me the following morning. I contacted his office staff to arrange an urgent care appointment. They were very kind and emailed the intake forms to me so that they could process my paperwork in advance. The entire staff is courteous and professional. I discovered that this dentist specializes in a variety of procedures, as well as general dentistry. I am so grateful for their help. We called several offices over this weekend and Dr Cho was the only one who got back to us. I had a tooth that cracked and was dying of pain. I considered going into the emergency room but I knew it they wouldn't do much for a toothache except to give meds. Dr Cho took time off from his family . This was just this Sunday early morning. He was able to numb me with minimal discomfort and removed the broken tooth. He even called me couple hours after to check up on me. Updating my review from a couple week ago.. wow just wow! Dr. Cho is the maaan! I have 10 years experience working in a variety of dental practices and I understand why so many people are fearful and anxious to go to the dentist but Dr. Cho makes the experience worth while. My previous dentist had to use 2 syringes to numb me and we waited waited 30 min for everything to kick in.. Dr. Cho got me very numb in less than 5 min. He completed 4 fillings in 2 different areas of my mouth in less than than an hour.. It was painless and efficient aaaaand it doesn't cost your entire life savings!! The front office staff is great with accommodating my busy work schedule and my assistant today was lovely and personable. I value these things when it comes to dental treatment because you guys are right, it is hard to find a truly compassionate and trustworthy dentist but your search ends here. read more

I always look forward to my appointments at Dr. John Cho's office! He and his staff are professional, friendly, and welcoming. The office is clean and bright, with the most up-to-date technology. They prioritize the comfort of their patients, and provide you with sunglasses, Bose headphones, an iPad to pick your music, and a big TV in each room to help you relax while the dentist does his work. Dr. Cho and the hygienists all have excellent bedside manners. I always feel cared for when I go to the office. Dr. Cho takes time to explain the procedures, as well. Our son just had his wisdom teeth extracted at this office. The dentist, Dr. Williams( a dentist from Pomona who was an hour late with no reviews on the Internet), gave him too much anesthesia and his throat has been very sore. The office immediately released him, instead of having him recover there. We did not receive any instructions for post surgical care, as is typical after an extraction. Our son was gurgling blood and very disoriented but they sent him home anyways. It took 3 phone calls to Dr Cho's emergency line to get a response. read more

I went back to Dr. Cho for an emergency tooth (top and bottom wisdom) extraction. I was in a lot of pain from the swelling and infection and he saw me immediately with a sense of urgency and compassion you would only expect from a family member. He moved swiftly through the procedure, not wasting any time, and I didn't even know he pulled the bottom tooth out until the assistant mentioned it. I thought it was a joke because there was no pressure, no signs that my tooth had been pulled and only when I saw it did I think to myself, "he's good!" The top tooth was a breeze and I felt comfortable, safe and well taken care of the whole time. I've never been so happy to see my dentist before! read more

So I walked into this office terrified and nervous. I haven't been to the dentist in years. Lots of years.. So you can imagine my fear. I'm 24, no health insurance, and nervous about covid. My experience was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so nice and non judgmental. The lady who cleaned my teeth was sent from heaven. She was so patient with the amount of work she had to do on me and so nice. She even put Netflix on for me to watch. I'm horrible at remembering names but I think it maybe Carolina? Or something close to this but she definitely deserves recognition because she was so gentle and sweet with my teeth. After learning more about my gum health I got to speak with Dr Cho about the health of my teeth. He was so nice and also non judgmental. I feel totally confident coming back to these wonderful people. Then at the very end I had the last nervous thing to worry about, the bill. For everything that needs to be done I was given a totally reasonable price. The wonderful woman at the front desk went over a payment plan for me and I'm so relieved. Overall you could say I had a pretty fantastic visit and look forward to making them my dentist for life. If I had to take off any points it would only be seeing a couple employees with their mask low. I totally understand that it's hard in the world right now with all these uncertainties but I do believe the importance of keeping the mask on. But other than that all the covid precautions were taken very seriously! Temp checks, air purifiers. It was great. You even get a goody bag at the end!! Definitely recommend this place :) read more

BEWARE!!!! They now work under the name, I believe "All Smiles Family Dental". Very dissatisfied with this office! They are too new, and in my opinion unprofessional. They asked me if they could add to my insurance bill when no procedure was performed. I have already reported them to my insurance complaint team and am reporting them to the better business bureau as well as all dentist affiliations. They did procedures not authorized by us to do which also caused that procedure to be redone the correct way. Unprofessional personal habits of the staff and inappropriate behavior in my opinion by the owner. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review. We gave them numerous chances but at this point after all their mistakes, lies, fraudulent claims that have continue even months after our stop going and speaking with others who are in addition dissatisfied as well; I have no choice but to let others (the public) know so they wont have to be subjected to what we went through. Oh I felt the office was inadequately prepared for procedures and equipment malfunctioned numerous times. My wife and I decided to go with him yes of course because of great reviews and recommendations from other people in the area but after visiting his office for the very first time and seeing him at the counter helping the previous patient to check in and once he was done he helped us. It's not easy to find a good, reliable dentist. I've been seeing a different dentist locally but recently received a recommendation to go see Dr. Cho for a dental work I had to get done immediately. I went to a local dentist who was unable to perform a root canal and instead left me with a referral to go elsewhere. In frustration, disappointment (and pain) I decided to give Dr. Cho a try and it turned out to be a great decision. He is detail oriented, takes time with patients to explain the procedure thoroughly and most importantly gentle at his work..making dental visits less dreadful. Great doctor & staff. Everyone is very kind & helpful. By the time I left my cleaning after they told me I had 3 cavities that should be filled, the ladies already had a print out of how much I would have to pay for the fillings & got me scheduled. Cavity process was completely painless & I was out of there in 45 minutes with 3 cavities filled. I had been nervous to leave my dentist I had been going to for 15 years when I got new insurance, but Dr. Cho is great & so far everything has been very easy & pain free! They also have a very homey, clean, neat environment that does not feel like a sterile dentist office and that always helps! :) Two thumbs up! read more

I've been pretty pleased with this dentist in the past, but they're not following proper COVID precautions. Half the staff weren't wearing masks while in close proximity to one another, including one who walked into the room where I was having my teeth cleaned and had a conversation with the dental hygienist next to me without a mask on.
