After a not so good experience with another John Thornton I swore I would never do business again…read more With them. But I came across a car I was looking for at Thornton in Lithia Springs so I swallowed my pride and went in anyway. I cannot say how thrilled I was to meet the entire team. I have never been treated so. Well at ANY dealer ever . I purchased the vehicle and received a better deal than I had hoped for. I will be back again. Thornton Chevrolet had totally redeemed themselves. Thank you Jason Shaver! You have a client for life. Well done.

I had to use the emergency brake to stop on the side of the road. The mechanic it was towed to said the brake line was completely rusted out and needed to be replaced. The manager at JT Chevrolet told me I bought the car 'as is' and they had no obligation to repair it. They called me back a little while later saying if I could get it towed there, they'd fix it as a gesture of goodwill. Fine, the brakes are still very soft, but I'm at least able to stop. Last month while changing the battery, I found that instead of a metal super connector, there was a literal piece of lamp cord that had been stripped on both ends. Additionally, I had to replace two tires due to slow leaks, the washer fluid reservoir is completely cracked, the belt was cracked and worn, and I had to replace the headlights. There is a oil pressure error on it now and it leaks slowly. I've probably spent more on it than its worth at this point. I would never recommend buying a used vehicle here. They clearly just washed it and threw it on the lot without opening the hood or checking under it, at all. These are things that even a Jiffy Lube would notice but apparently their service department cannot. If I could go back to October, I'd buy somewhere else. I just don't feel safe in the vehicle, but also don't feel comfortable selling it to someone else, because unlike John Thornton Chevrolet, I have principles.

I came here as a new customer and I regret that I did. I don't expect the red carpet for just being…read morea customer but the first impression was less than stellar. I literally had to find my way to the service center because no one was there to direct me. I scheduled a 8:45a appointment but the advisor told me I'd likely be sitting for 2-2.5 hours. So what's the point of scheduling an appointment? You would think when you speak to a service advisor that he/she would go over price quotes regarding market and third party parts. WRONG! I came here to re-align my drivers side window as it had gone off track. I sat for 3 hours without an update or being updated about the status. After I could no longer sit I got a text saying my vehicle was ready along with a final price of $1613! I beg your pardon!? At this point, I'm fuming and looking for the advisor. He goes into this spill about how the price is right and how he just got the quote when I did. This is the most unprofessional and price gouging Nissan dealership I've ever visited. The guy was basically telling me changing the motor in door panel is a 4 hour job at a $225 labor rate! I've never reacted this way in an establishment but I could not resist expressing my frustration and disgust with how I was treated. The advisor didn't even offer any alternatives. It was either I pay or leave. I had to pay $250 just for them to diagnose my car. Also, get this, the job couldn't even be completed because the parts had to be ordered!!! Why wasn't I told this first before I sat down?! I feel like my time and my money has been wasted. I will NEVER use this location again. If you are a woman coming here for services, BEWARE.

I'm normally patient, but this experience reminded me why I left Nissan, and now I'm planning to…read moremove my wife away from them too. We purchased a brand-new 2024 Pathfinder SL in April with only 6 miles. The first red flag: the air conditioning didn't work. My wife had to drive for a week in Atlanta heat with no A/C. When she called for service, she was told it could be fixed and a loaner would be available--neither of which was true when she arrived. Second red flag: multiple tire issues. We've been back three times for faulty tires. The first time, they told us it wasn't their responsibility and "fixed" it by just rotating the tires, so the issue came back. The second time, we only got the replacement tire after a fight--thanks to Alexis (our former salesperson, now in finance), who honored the original GM's commitment. Now, today, I came in for the third tire. I had an appointment at 1:15 p.m., arrived early at 12:58, and didn't leave until 4:15 p.m.--over three hours for a single tire replacement. While Demonta was professional, the overall service was chaotic. Staff were standing around, on their phones, or trying to upsell cars. Even my daughter asked, "Is anyone working?" There's no prioritization system--routine fixes like a tire change take longer than major services like brake replacements. It's inefficient and frustrating. This experience reflects Nissan's reported $4.6 billion loss in 2024--the decline in both vehicle quality and customer service is glaring. Some employees care, but overall, it's a poorly managed operation.
