I chose the Tower Plaza Parking Structure (near the Westin Hotel), which was just a short walk to the museum, while the other options are a bit farther. Parking is paid, about $6 per hour. Once you arrive, check-in is quick and no reservation is needed. Admission is free, and they provide a sticker that you'll need to wear throughout your visit. The museum is two floors, featuring a variety of sections and artists. The architecture itself is beautiful and perfect for photos, and the artwork is unique and enjoyable to explore. Overall, it's a great experience, especially since it's free. Tip(s): - Park at Tower Plaza Parking Structure (near Westin Hotel) and just walk to the museum - Free entry - Restrooms available - No appointments needed

To be honest, it was mildly surprising to learn that Orange County has its own museum of art, if…read moreonly because not many of the counties in the Bay Area do, other than SF. Yet, at the same time, given the size and population of OC, it also makes perfect sense. Either way, I can't say I ever would've guessed it would be this nice, though! Just a shame that their exhibits didn't really blow us away... Located in the burgeoning arts and theater district of Costa Mesa, just down the road from South Coast Plaza, OCMA is such a gorgeous looking building. Sure, it helps that it's only a few years old, but the look of this place is no less impressive. Right out in front, there's a 65-foot art piece in the middle of the plaza that helps connect all of the neighboring buildings. Inside, there's a fairly large gallery space on the ground level with rotating exhibits, an upper level that appears to hold their more permanent collection of pieces, a coffee shop right next to the gift shop, and a rooftop restaurant with a large open area/garden. Sadly, though, as nice as the museum's design and amenities may be, though, much of the artwork was just okay. While the artwork upstairs was fine, the featured exhibits didn't really speak to us. Obviously, art is subjective, but one included pieces that appear to have just been drawn with a spirograph. The other consisted of several photographic series, whose commentary on social media I can appreciate, but felt exceedingly voyeuristic in nature - one following/semi-stalking a fellow after a chance encounter, another of strangers invited to sleep in the artist's bed so they could be photographed/documented, and a third showing the belongings of guests at the hotel she worked at. Artwork aside, the thing that I like most about OCMA is how admission is entirely free. So, in that sense, it's impossible to be too disappointed with the experience and/or what we saw. However, one thing to note is that you do have to pay if you park at any of the nearby garages, which are all unaffiliated with OCMA. For example, at the one on the other side of the Segerstrom Center, it cost us about $10 for two hours or so. Alternatively, South Coast Plaza is just a few blocks over and parking there is free, but I don't know how aggressive they are with towing and it feels like a big gamble just to save a few bucks. All in all, even though none of the exhibits were really our flavor, we still had a good time checking out OCMA. Oddly, there weren't many other visitors here when we arrived, but it did seem to get busier as the day wore on (there was a big group walking in as we were walking out) and we certainly didn't mind not having to deal with a bunch of crowds around. Plus, as nice as the museum looks, it's actually fairly small compared to others I've been to elsewhere. Since the featured exhibits have so much influence on the experience, I absolutely wouldn't mind coming back to see whatever they happen to have featured down the line. The ones they had when we were here may not have interested us, but the next ones might! Plus, it doesn't hurt that admission is free! All in all, THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded down.

I honestly had no idea this place was here (I guess I'm not cultured lol)…read more This place did not disappoint. It's in a really nice area of Costa Mesa close to a bunch of hotels, south coast plaza and some of the best restaurants. (So many options for you to pick from and have dinner before your show) The architecture of the building itself is really beautiful. I would say it's a little tucked in, because I am always in this area and have never seen it before. The ambiance inside is nice as well. It's extremely clean This place has a parking garage and valet. Unfortunately, we had no idea they had valet. So we just automatically parked in the parking garage. But they do have a little walk way that is extremely easy to get to the building from the garage The lines went extremely fast for getting into the building. There was no restrictions on handbag size. ( or at least they didn't say anything to me about it / could differ from show to show and who is performing) All I had to do was open my purse and walk through a metal detector. Everyone was so friendly Once we entered the building, there are tons of staff directing you where to go if you need help finding your section They do have stairs when you walk in, but they have elevators. I chose to walk up a few stairs and then take the elevator to get to our seats We had second floor box circle level seating. It was extremely easy to get to the seats and the lady who took us to our seats was extremely kind and helpful She also gave us the rules - No placing your handbag on the railing, no video or flash photography I can't stress enough, the importance of elevators and it being accessible. So 5 stars for that The bathrooms were very clean and had a great amount of bathroom stalls. So there was no line I only saw one very tiny stand where you could get refreshments. I did not get anything, so I don't know what they had to offer (such as alcohol or if they had any food) The write up online for the show we went to for Tchaikovsky's Fifth & Avi Avital Pacific Symphony -Experience Tchaikovsky's Triumphant Fifth & Mandolin Virtuoso Avi Avital! I get there in the first thing he says do you have your case number? So I answer no but here's my ID. He was upset that he needed to look it up so after I was told there is nothing on the system. I said OK well I have a copy of my application along with my doctors information and he said well I can't take it. You need to wait or send it back again so I decided to speak to a manager. They gave me another number and I had to wait another 40 minutes before I was seen by someone else he was a lot of help. He was really nice and was able to help me with my paperwork unfortunately I didn't get his name. Also there is no Manager to be seen or refuse to talk to me.This was on 12/23/25 around 9:30 am .

If I could give this place negative stars I would, zero stars is too generous…read more I try to avoid posting negative reviews but I got some stuff to get off my chest, unfortunately. I presented here early April because a form that was supposed to be mailed to me was sent to an incorrect old address. While waiting in a 2 hour line I finally made it into the main waiting room where I was presented with a ticket, and told to wait for my number to be called. Before my number was called EDD had their internal team contact to see if my issue could be addressed over the phone. I explained to them I needed to pickup form DE2525XX (which is basically a doctors extension certification for you to continue receiving benefits). The representative I was speaking to over the phone was kind enough to reprint form DE2525XX for me which needed to be filled out by my doctor. His sage words were "make a copy of the completed form before you mail it in". I dropped off form DE2525XX with my doctor and needed to wait a several days before it would be complete. In between this waiting window EDD mailed me form DE2547D3 which looked similar to form DE2525XX but requested more detailed information. Annoyed because my doctor was already given form DE2525XX I present to EDD again to inquire about the new formed that I received. I waited in line for nearly 2 hours before I made it to the waiting room. Again, I was contacted by an EDD employee via phone to discuss the reason for my second visit. I explained my doctor had a printed form that EDD supplied days earlier but after that form was picked up a second form was mailed out. I specifically asked if form DE2547D3 needed to be filled out in lieu of DE2525, the representative assured me it was just a system generated letter that was mailed because of the address change/update. She stated I would be fine to proceed with returning printed form DE2525. That form was mailed out once completed by my doctor and after waiting weeks for EDD's system to update my information I couldn't wait any longer. I took copied form DE2525XX and stood in line again. After making it to the waiting room, pulling a number, and waiting my turn I finally get called to a window where this rude employee took one look at the printed form EDD had given me and said "we can't accept printed forms here". I questioned her about why I waited in line multiple times to not only pickup form DE2525, but confirm form DE2547D3 was not really needed. She had no answers, worse yet she showed no empathy to my stressful financial situation and was confused as to why an employee from their office would print out an invalid form. She requested I return with form DE2547D3 once completed by my physician and said when I did the information could be input into their system during my next visit. She was clearly incompetent and inept because that information was incorrect as well. I return a 4th time now with form DE2547D3 completed by my physician anxious to have this finally resolved. I wait in the same over populated line, pull my ticket, get to a window, and was told the information although correct couldn't be manually entered into their system but rather the form had to be mailed out. I literally watched the rep stuff my form into an envelope and drop it into an outgoing mailbox . I was told to allow 5-10 business days for processing. Here we are 30+ days later and that forms information still has not been updated. What a joke. Get it together EDD and hire competent compassionate employees, please.

I highly recommend making a reservation before going because when we arrived, the line was down to the parking lot. It was packed! We instantly got sat and our server, Alex, stopped by with some water and greeted us. We were informed on Mother's day, they have a set menu. It was 2 salads, 2 apps, 4 entrees and 3 desserts for $55 per person. This was a lot of food! We honestly got full after the apps hit. Everything was sooo delicious and yummy. Alex, was extremely nice and friendly throughout the entire experience. They were very busy and all the servers were running around so we understood if he fell behind. We felt bad because the table next to us was giving him a hard time and being rude about the menu and how they didn't like certain items on the menu yet Alex stayed very professional and helpful with them. 10/10 food and experience, i will forsure be back to try more food and cocktails and request Alex's section!
