I recently visited this office for a check up and cleaning. The office staff was nice and helpful, and the work area was clean, I was impressed by the advanced equipment used. Dr. Lee cleaned my teeth efficiently, and with minimal discomfort. I had to schedule a second appointment to get a partial filling on one of my front teeth. Unfortunately, I had to go back for a third visit pursuant to my tooth with the partial filling needed to be filed/sanded down more. I was unhappy and disappointed that I had to go back yet again. I was also displeased that the doctor didn't apologize, as a matter of fact he seemed annoyed that I was back in the dreaded chair. They pay very good attention to the patients and they take the patients right into the exam room once they check in (the wait time for the doctor is very reasonable). I found Dr. Johnathon Lee from google.com and then google took me to Yelp.com. I have been living in Hacienda Heights for almost 28 years, and I have been going to different doctors in the neighborhood. I would have to say that Dr. Johnathon Lee is the best I have seen so far! I usually don't take the time to post reviews, but when the service is truly outstanding, I like to give recognition. This is definitely the case for Dr Lee and his staff! First and most importantly, Dr Lee is truly unlike any other dentist I've ever been to. He is genuine and honest with his assessment and recommendations. Other dentists in my past have given off the vibe of being business-oriented more than a healthcare professional. They would try to up sell services that were unnecessary and tried to make a big deal about any remarkable findings after checking my teeth. Dr Lee would tell me the true state of my teeth and his recommendations...even if it meant putting off dental work that wasn't urgent. You can also tell he is genuinely caring about his patients as he would recall information about your life from previous visits...even if it was 2-3 years ago. Even then, he doesn't give you a hard time for it! He's just very understanding and overwhelms you with caring and kindness. As a result, I will actually pay it back by trying to stay on schedule with my checkups and cleanings! The rest of the staff was also very nice and kind to myself and my family (it was a whole family affair)! It couldn't have gone any smoother other than the fact that I received news that I got my first cavity... I can only blame myself for that though! Thank you once again Dr Lee for being outstanding, not just in your field of expertise, but also as a caring individual who wants the best for his patients. I have been seeing Dr. Lee for 11 years. During all these years, I have moved several times, and changed my family doctor and OB accordingly. But, I always go to Dr. Lee for any dental care, even during the year while I was in Colorado. To me, Dr. Lee is a REAL DOCTOR and a VERY GOOD ONE, not like some other dentists who are actually businessmen. Here are something I'd like to mention: Dr. Lee has excellent clinical skills and experience. I had really bad teeth problems when I started with Dr. Lee. He fixed all the issues, and I couldn't be happier. I have referred friends to Dr. Lee and they all like him. Dr. Lee is very honest. I have seen dentists recommending unnecessary treatments for their own benefits, but Dr. Lee never does that. He always provides comprehensive information on what the problems is, what options are and with his recommendations on how to fix it. I know I am in good hands. Dr. Lee is very caring and respectful of the schedule. He is on time for most of my appointments. Very rarely, I need to wait, and I think the longest waiting time I experienced was about 15 minutes. During the appointments, Dr. Lee is very patient. He listens and always tries his bests. I appreciate that very much. The office is clean and organized and the staffs are friendly. This was my first experience with having any work done with Dr. Lee and I have to say he really is great! I had 2 cavities done so fast and painless. Throughout the procedure, he would always check with me if I was okay. One thing I always have in mind is how the dentist treats his/her assistant(s) during treatments. I listen to their interactions and he was very professional and kind to them when requesting equipment, suction, etc. He never once yelled at them or raised his voice. How he treats his staff during a procedure really shows you how he is as a person, kind and caring. His front staff were also extremely helpful and patient. As a new patient, I had tons of questions regarding my insurance and my follow-ups. This dental office is up front in regards to their billing and does not seem to try to hide anything or surprise you with bills (one of my biggest worries). I decided to wear braces 2 years ago and just went on yelp to find an orthodontists near where I live and I am glad that I found Dr. Lee. In my first free consultation, Dr. Lee suggested to extract 4 wisdom teeth and other 4 teeth. I was so nervous if I could handle that "much". I eventually removed them all and it went well. Dr. Lee and his staffs are awesome! They are very welcoming and professional. I came to Dr. Lee about a year ago hoping that I will get a different opinion on my underbite (class III). Having to go to multiple dentists for a consultation on it, all three of those dentists told me that it will require surgery to fix my bite and gave me no detailed explanation as to why surgery would be best. But Dr. Lee took the time to helped me understand the difference between getting braces compare to surgery. He even explained to me about the types of procedures and new method of fixing a class III underbite. Surely enough I finally found an honest dentist who I can trust and invest on my teeth. From there, I had confident and trust that Dr. Lee would help me fix my underbite (that I've been wanting to get it fix for years) without going through surgery because I knew I couldn't afford surgery even if I wanted to.
