We came to Johnny Brusco's by way of google. We were searching for pizza on the way to the airport and google found Johnny's. We came in and were greeted very friendly. It just so happened we picked this restaurant because we had one near where we live in Flower Mound TX! Told the waitress that and she went and told the manager about us and our story. She came back ,and confirmed they were one of the same, although ours here in TX had changed names several years earlier. We ordered 3 slices, 1 cheese and 2 Johnny's Deluxe. We asked for the cheese to be cut in half, which they did. It came out first. When she brought out the other 2 pieces, my hubby and I said WOW at the same time! They were huge!! Loaded with toppings. It was so good! I couldn't eat all of my second pice, so no doggy bags to the airport, hubby kindly finished it off for me. TBH, I think the cheese piece was my fave. First and last time we will ever order from here. Decided to try a "better" option on DoorDash lastnight than our original place for calzones and can say we were thoroughly disappointed. We ordered two calzones with slightly different ingredients and one was cooked well done and crispy while the other was literally undercooked with raw dough. Not to mention there were other ingredients added to the raw calzone that were not selected when I ordered. The worst part was when I called to ask for a resolution the woman who answered the phone asked if I spoke to the delivery driver (how is that his fault that their kitchen messed up?) She barely allowed me to explain and forgot to put the phone on mute so I could hear her explaining my issue and it was clear she had no idea how to handle the situation or to relay the proper details to management. She told me a manager would call me back and I never received a phone call. The fact that they ruined my dinner and had no decency to make things right is beyond pathetic. I've came here about 5 times since I moved to the area and it's really only worth it for the $12 Monday cheese pizza deal. We live in Heritage Springs and our kitchen, lounge, & dining room have been under renovation for the past few weeks. Johnny Brusco's was the only local establishment to reach out to our community & offer discounts throughout the renovation project. It really wasn't necessary because a lot of us would have wondered in there because of how close it is to us. But none the less, they were warm & welcoming! And the discounts were much appreciated. If I had wanted beer or wine, it was available-- 16 rotating taps & wine! W-h-o-a! I stopped in & enjoyed my spot @ the small bar. Wall TVs are viewable from every seat in the restaurant. The dining room was clean & bright, as was the bathroom-- one for males & one for females. There's one four-person metal table outside complete w/ an umbrella-- perfect place to sit if your favorite furry companion accompanies you. Diners can see the open kitchen as they eat. I was promised a large party order delivery a week ahead of time to secure my arrangements. I was told to call one day ahead to place the order. The promise was taken back with not even an apology. We are extremely disappointed. Jeff, Steven and James have all very unfortunately come up short on customer service and professionalism. But it's worth the drive over to Trinity for us from the Suncoast/54 Land O Lakes area. I wasn't expecting a cracker crust, but I was expecting something a little thinner. Just confused by the crust but the toppings were DELICIOUS! I was excited to have the green olives on it, since this isn't a popular option for a lot of places. I also had a side of marinara (because I love sauce. lol) and the marinara and veggies on top both tasted fresh! If we ever go back, I'd definitely enjoy the veggie deluxe again. After being seated we (a group of 3 adults and a 13 year old) were looking over the menu and watching the owner, family and friends, were setting up for a charity golf tournament the next day, when a customer on the way out asked the owner a question. She didn't understand what he said and asked again. He answered with a distinctly indifferent tone and she was obviously startled by his rude response. She just turned and left the restaurant. The owner immediately replied, "What a bitch!" I was seated on the opposite wall of the restaurant and heard it clearly. I could not believe what I witnessed. The former Crisper's location wasn't busy, but the service was pretty awesome. Our waitress took our order - we ordered their special 20 wings and a large pie for $32, and we got some fried mushrooms. The Mushrooms came out 10 of them for about $8.00 a bit pricy, but they were tasty fried morsels of yumminess. The wings came out and though we ordered Medium - they were pretty heated. The husbeast at 8 and I ate 4, The pizza, they left it in a little long, I'm ok with that, i like my crust crispy, but the Owner was very apologetic, He offered to throw a new pie in for us. Pretty solid chain. I had both a slice and a sandwich, both of which were fine. The sandwich was supposed to be a muffaletta, but as with any muffaletta outide of Nawlins, it was just an Italian sandwich topped with olive salad. Was it good tho? Yes indeed, and it was served hot, so that was a pleasant surprise. The slice was good as well. I've been teetering between a 2-3 but settled on the 2 since the misses were greater than the hits. First, we tried ordering online and after making it through the process got an error message that the service wasn't available. Not sure why it allowed us to get so far. So then my husband called in the order. I understand it can get loud or have distractions while taking an order, but it was painful to listen to and I owe him. One thing we were excited about was delivery, not many places offer that to our location. It was also quick, too quick almost, as it concerned me because we ordered the pizza well done. The garlic knots - these were great! Hard to go wrong with bread, butter and garlic. But they were well cooked and had plenty of garlic bits and butter. The pizza was disappointing. We loved the pepperoncini topping option and wished there were more on the pizza. Unfortunately the rest fell flat. The pizza was not cooked to well done. There seems to be some char but it was chewy, doughy and not cooked through. The cheese to sauce ratio wasn't what we really enjoy in a good pie. Have been coming here for years. Today extremely disappointed. My lasagna that I order 75% of time was less than half of what I usually get total thickness was honestly about 1/2 an inch. Not even close to what I am usually served. I usually get three meals. Ate the whole thing still hungry. The person in charge stated nothing is different that is a total lie. My wife's serving was less than normal. Will give one more chance on a night when normal staff/ manager is here. If I get the same never again. My wife and I finally stopped by to try this restaurant. It is somewhat hidden in a plaza and we have drove by it numerous times. It was Sunday at 5:30 and the place was surprisingly almost empty. This concerned us a bit but the concern was unwarranted. We had a pizza, wings and garlic knots. Everything was very good. There are numerous toppings to choose from and the amount of cheese was generous. The crust was delicious and perfectly cooked. The garlic knots were excellent and literally dripping in garlic sauce. The wings were meaty and tender and the variety of sauces were great. I tried the samurai sauce and the citrus chipolte. Yum to both. Prices are reasonable and the interior is roomy and clean. The meatball sub bread was chewy and could not cut it very easily and had the same tough rubbery meatballs. The spaghetti was cooked well and the sauce was okay.
