Women's restroom was filthy and smelled TERRIBLE
    Sarah G.

When we stopped here to use the restrooms and stretch our legs, I checked in and realized we stopped here before. Unfortunately, since the last visit, I changed my opinion a bit. When walking into the Women's room, we were met with a strong, unpleasant #2 smell. (Barf). The restroom was so dirty as well. Then no paper towel to fry our hands. Outside there are still a bunch of picnic tables. Johnny Cash would be ashamed to have this place named after him. It definitely could use a little TLC!!

I Walk the Line Between getting my photos deleted or not.

I Walk the Line Between what is acceptable and what is not. I heard a lot of people with my offense of Revue is. My bowels were feeling very fiery when I stumbled in here and then I slipped into the toilet. I guess you could say I fell into a burning Ring of Fire. This rest area isn't much to shout about and could probably use a bit of a makeover. I appreciate that it's here because I needed the bathroom but at the same time it's nothing like some of those really spectacular rest areas around the country and it could definitely use some sprucing up and expanding. But on the other hand at least is named after Johnny Cash right?

A very nice welcome center to introduce you to Kentucky If…read moreyou're traveling north on Interstate 65 from Tennessee into Kentucky, this is one of the first places you'll encounter after crossing the state line. It is an easy right-hand exit with a straightforward entrance and plenty of parking for both cars and large trucks. It is a good first stop to stretch your legs, take a break from driving, and pick up information about the Bluegrass State before continuing your journey. One of the first things you'll notice after parking is the large horse statue outside the building to the right. It's a fitting welcome to Kentucky since it is well known for its horse farms and racing heritage. Also, marketing-wise, it makes for a great photo opportunity before heading inside. Inside the main building, it is spacious, bright, and very well maintained. It is a large open lobby with a round information desk in the center of the room. There were brochures of lots of the attractions arrayed on the round desk and derby pictures and other sights on the outside of the informational desk. The restrooms are conveniently located on either side of the main lobby, making them easy to find even if you're in a hurry. Everything was clean, both inside and outside. The parking areas were free of litter. Overall, I would certainly recommend stopping here if you're entering Kentucky on I-65. It is a pleasant, convenient, and well-maintained place to begin your travels through the Commonwealth. Enjoy!
