This rest area is located at mile marker 84 while traveling along Interstate 65 North through…read moreAlabama. The actual name for the rest area is the Conecuh County Rest Area I-65 North. In general, the rest areas are spaced out quite a bit during travels along the road. My visit here was on July 29, 2021. The main reason for stopping here was to take a quick restroom break along the way. When you come up to the main building, there are signs on the door noting that masks are required to be worn while inside, though pretty much everyone else ignored that altogether. Anyways, the restrooms were clean and well maintained, which has been the norm when visiting any Alabama rest area. Inside the building also includes the vending and such as well. On the outside, there is a good amount of outdoor space to walk around. There are some tables and such to sit down as well, both covered and uncovered. The green space is great since it does give lots of space to walk around and stretch the body before getting back on the road again. Overall, this is a really good rest area. Everything was well maintained and had no issues. Since these rest areas are far and few in between, I totally recommend stopping in to take a break here before continuing your northbound journey.

The cut out of Dolly inside made us smile, as did the clean bathrooms. They had cute rocking chairs and a fire place and lots of books and brochures I saw people taking. They had a separate building with ice, vending machines and a coffee machine to purchase coffee. Lots of smiling faces due to the cleanliness!

I don't eat hillbilly round steak often, but when I do, I like a thick slice. And that's what you get. I don't understand why people have been leaving reviews about bad customer service. Everyone working was smiling and pleasant to me. I think the signs are funny. And they sell an assortment of t-shirts, handbags, knives, and candles. This store supports our second amendment right to bear arms and that's what attracted me to stop there. Plus their gas prices are cheaper than the few stations I pass in Ashland City.
