Government and military, for e.g. As we were in the process of moving, we booked to stay here over a week which included a holiday weekend. Memorial Weekend was a busy time for the hotel and the convention center. It was pretty loud due to all of the people and late night celebrating because our room faced the back side where you can see the convention center and are above the restaurant with patio bar. My favorite amenity was the indoor pool! I've never been in a salt water indoor pool and love it! My son had a blast. Other hotels had no pool or it was closed. How can you not have your pool open during the summer?! So, we were happy to return here when we needed a room again for a few days in July waiting for our home to be ready. Their breakfast is the typical breakfast of the Holiday Inn chain, but the food staff ensured everything was stocked well. Also, special mention to the ladies who helped me out by offering the to go containers and cups when I needed breakfast to go while my family slept in late. Lucky for them. Overall, we had a great experience and would stay again. Took off the star due to the noise. Next time, I'll ask about any special events and for a room on the front side (quieter). Also, due to the outdoor bar, I didn't always feel it was safe for my little guy. He was always with me, but during weekends, I'd gets crowded and busy. And, sometimes people consume too much. And if you do read such reviews, you'll see that the hotels are often well-maintained and are in a way, time capsules. The Riverview Inn is like that. It's like a well-maintained 1990s-era Hilton, kept in a little capsule for you to experience. I stayed a night here as a good overnight stop between two destinations and I chose the Riverview Inn for its price and its downtown location. It was fine, but that's about it. Parking is free, which is nice, and the lobby is a little updated. Then you exit the elevator into the hallway of your designated floor, and everything changes. Green floral carpet, very low ceilings, dim fluorescent lighting -- ah, I remember this, and, frankly, it's a little bit eerie. But little things let you know that, even though the rooms are holding fast on that 1990s design, there is some effort to modernize. For example, proximity RFID room keys. If this really was a 1990s hotel, you'd have those old hole-punch room keys. Remember those? Yeah. Awesome. Also, a flat-screen TV. Cool. And maybe there's something to be said for making those changes, rather than putting a new comforter on the bed that has an updated, more understated floral design. Everything works. Essentials are met. Maslow is satisfied. Breakfast is also fine. Ever stayed at a Holiday Inn Express? It's a lesser version of that. Pre-made, pre-formed pastries and eggs. It's fine. You won't go back for seconds unless you hate yourself, but it's basic breakfast at its minimally acceptable range. Eat and hit the road, it says. Considering the above (and managing expectations), I'd stay here again. I was able to walk to two different local breweries (a third closed before I could make it there on a Tuesday night) and stumble home safe and sound. Sleep, check-out, and get out, with a good location. Works for me!

Our family recently was just here at this beautiful well kept house. It was very clean and had a homey touch feel. The rooms were expansive and our kids really enjoyed the theater room. The pool was impressive and you can set the temperature. The bonfire was also amazing to use as well. The house maintenance staff, Phillip, was very friendly and was our navigator on where we can visit places locally. It's not too far from Nashville to do activities downtown. I highly recommend and we will be planning to come back again next year.
