Great family-friendly sports bar/restaurant. Everything we ordered was great, wings, Chicken Parm Sandwich and a wrap. Service was great too. We were just passing through town, but we'll definitely come back next time we are nearby. Its definitely a place to go watch football, we were there on Sunday at lunch during NFL season. We stopped in for lunch. The food was pretty good. I liked my BLT and fries. However we ordered two entrees and only one came out correctly. My husband ordered a cheese burger and he got a chorizo burger. We didn't bother to see if they would remake it because we were on a tight schedule. It wasn't very busy so not sure why the order came out wrong. We will probably come back if we are in the area but won't go out of our way. read more

I absolutely love this place! It started out as just a hole in the wall kind of place and has expanded into a must-eat restaurant. I've been coming here for years and I've never been disappointed. Their burgers are the best you can get Navarre and I love the jh sauce. I personally love that they have takeout options as I'm not a fan of sports and it's sort of a sports bar kinda place. If you do like that sort of thing, this place is for you. They've also expanded the business to a separate bar on the same property. If you don't want a full dining experience and just want a drink with friends, it's a great hang out spot. Never knew I was a rum sort of girl before drinking there. I sadly live in Pensacola now so I can't enjoy Johnny Houston's like I used to. Be better believe that I always stop by and grab a burger whenever I'm in town visiting family. read more

My kids and I went there the other day and I was pleasantly surprised with our meal! My only complaint was we had to wait just a tad too long for our food and the place wasn't crowded at all so not sure what the deal was there. Our service was bare minimum-the server spent more time sitting in a booth with the hostess talking then taking our order, refilling our drinks or providing service. The booth was broken and wobbled nonstop. The marquee outside said special - chicken and waffles but was informed by the server "that was old". Ordered "Garlic Toast BLT" - toast was soggy, patty was okay but smothered in oil drenched semi-fried onions and coated in "JH sauce". Wouldn't order it again. However, our waitress was rude and rolling her eyes when asked for a soft drink after placing our food order. I have been going to Johnny Houston's for over two years now since I have moved to Navarre. When we first started coming here we were incredibly happy with the food, prices, and service. Over the past year their prices have been rising from high to just unreasonable. It seems as if everytime we go they raise their prices on every item by one or two dollars. I feel that $14 for a hamburger is just ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, all of their food is excellent. Their hamburgers are some of the best my wife and I have ever had. I go to Johnny Houston's mainly due to the proximity to my house. The food quality, presentation, quantity and service has continued to go down south the past year my husband and I been dining there. Our most recent visit, we had table of 3. I ordered the blackened fish tacos. The tacos were below desirable because they had put a ton of cole slaw on the tacos. Since when do tacos get cole slaw? I know of a bit of cabbage to compliment fish tacos, but cole slaw? Literally the whole taco was mostly cole slaw and very little fish, where was the cheese? Is cheese too much to ask to put on a taco? My friend ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich. The sandwich had no grilled onions, peppers or mushrooms, just meat and American cheese. I thought philly cheese steak sandwiches came with provolone. We ordered a few rounds of beer. One of the beer serviced tasted pretty bad, we asked to exchange it, but we were told they had to charge us to change the beer. The spinach and artichoke dip went down hill. It used to be cheesy. I'm not sure what happened but it almost tasted like the spinach came from the can, very little artichoke, and again where was the cheese? My unsweetened tea was never offered a re-fill until we were getting up to leave.....We'll have a better time if we dine else where. read more

I am a wing snob. I will send wings back if they come out with any breading on them. I will send them back if they are cold, or soggy from too much sauce and/or sitting around before reaching my table. I am not a fan of baked, grilled, or broiled either. I would give KFC wings 1 star. I would give Buffalo Wild Wings franchises in general 3 stars. I travel the USA quite a bit, and I am constantly on a quest for perfect wings. Classic, real Buffalo wings (I grew up in the region), are deep fried, hot and crispy, skin on, with a nice red hot sauce applied sparingly. I've taken to ordering my wings "naked and extra crispy," with sauce on the side, so they are more likely to come out right. You'd be surprised how many places still manage to screw up a simple formula: fry the sh$/ out of a nice, fresh, meaty wing and toss it in front of me while it's still too hot to eat. Johnny Huston's is known for its creative burgers, but you wing snobs out there take note: BEST WINGS EVER. They are big, meaty grade A wings, fried hot and fast so that they are still tender inside. The bar staff was friendly and courteous enough to give me several different sauces on the side, plus celery and REAL Blue Cheese dressing (probably homemade) with huge chunks of blue cheese in it, at no extra charge. My favorite combo so far was classic hot with sweet Thai chili sauce. Add a cold draft beer (I'm a fan of the Goose Island IPA) and you are in WING HEAVEN. And only $7 for 6 of the BEST WINGS EVER, any day of the week. I am getting hungry writing this... think I'll walk down the street a little and get some more wings... my third visit this week... good thing I don't live here or I'd weigh 300 lbs. read more

I've been here twice and had good experiences both times. Last night I ordered the buffalo chicken sliders as an appetizer and I'm glad I did! They were so good. They give you 6 and they are a good size. I liked them so much I ate 4 and my wife ate 2. This caused me to only eat half of the 50/50 burger I ordered. The 50/50 burger was great. It was a burger that tasted like pulled pork and I loved it. Plus they have bottomless fries. The service was good, but could've been a little better. There were several times we needed our waitress and didn't see her for 10-15 minutes. It was a Friday night so it it kind of to be expected. GET YOUR PIMENTO ON! Great burger joint placed in west Navarre. Friendly and accommodating staff. Burgers are made with 1/2 sirloin & 1/2 chuck so the fat melts through to proved the burger with flavor and moistness. I tried what I thought was an odd pick, the Pimento Cheese & Bacon Burger. Wow, this burger was sooooo good and tasty. So glad I tried it. Fries were good as well. We are in Pensacola from TX for the weekend and found this place on Yelp. The menu looked good so we decided to give it a try. We were seated immediately after walking in. The waitress was polite and patient while answering all our questions. I settled on a regular ole burger and my wife basically ordered a western burger with the bbq sauce and onion rings on the side. She wanted a bacon cheeseburger and the waitress suggested the changes so she could get what she wanted. The burgers were juicy. The fries were good. The pickles were big and thick! I ordered a margarita and it was pretty good! There were people steadily coming in and they were all being seated quickly. Even while busy, neither our food nor our service suffered. Not a great experience overall. I sat at the bar for 10 minutes before someone asked me if I needed something. I ordered an orange crush, it was watered down. I ordered a Cuban sandwich. When it arrived another server dropped it in front of me and walked away. No ketchup, no napkin or silverware, no asking if I needed anything else.
