My husband loves to stop at Breweries when traveling. AI turned us to visit Ye Olde Brothers. We were greeted as soon as we stepped in. The staff were friendly and most helpful. We brought our labs, so we sat on the patio. Our server brought water for our dog's bowls. I had the pumpkin beer and it was very good. There were several beers out that my husband wanted. He did try the East Bay IPA. We had the chips and queso, but weren't fans as the queso was very thick. I had the pulled chicken platter and it was delicious. This place is a hidden gem in the city of Holly. The food is fantastic and the beer is even better. This family own business was a delight, the service was really great too. Can't wait to come back! Firstly to the owner, Jerry, I don't have a copy of my receipt. I was on my way home from Florida and saw the brewery from the road, so I immediately made a U-turn to give it a try. Once I walked in, I noticed a definite "Ye old" setting, which wasn't a bad thing at all. I ordered a pizza and was very pleased with it. It wasn't too busy, and since I was in a bit of a rush, I sat at the bar. The service was great, and I tried two beers. They were okay, leaving a bit to be desired, but I loved how heavy the stout was on ABV, which made it worthwhile from a beer standpoint. This was the second time I have gone here. The restaurant was kind of busy but it wasn't loud at all. I had gotten the Ben Franklin with mushrooms on one side. There was sadly a mix up with our order (only have mushrooms on half the pizza) but I also had some person tweaks on my order that I now know. Next time I go I will not ask for there to be the mushrooms or the smoked chicken on the pizza, personally the smokiness of the chicken threw off the sweetness and mild flavors of the artichoke and spinach. On that note, the spinach was dried on top of the pizza, looking to me almost like a garnish and not an item that is included on the pizza. I recently was shown the myriad of recent Yelp reviews and responses for YOBB and decided I would make a Yelp account solely for the purpose of giving my input as well. ------------------------ Around 2 weeks before I deployed in February of 2023, my wife, mother, father, and myself all went to YOBB. It was our first time and I had been meaning to try it over the past 2 years that I've been in Navarre. I had heard great things about the beer and pretty good things about the food. Upon arrival to YOBB, (7:32pm, I still have the time from my Google Maps) we were immediately waited on by the hostess and elected to sit outside. The restaurant had fairly steady business, but it was by no means "slammed". Around 5 minutes later, the same hostess came back out and took our drink orders, I got a flight a beer, so did my father. My mother and wife ordered soft drink. Those were brought out to us with pretty fast. Sweet. Good beer, always a win in my book. This is where things take a turn, a pretty yucky turn. So far, about 10 minutes have elapsed. The hostess (now waitress) came back out and took our orders. Nothing out of the ordinary, I get a brew dog, father gets brisket, and I honestly don't remember what the wife and mother ordered. The waitress jotted that down and off to tell the kitchen she went. This was around 7:45 (definitely a couple of minutes earlier, I'm just rounding up out of generosity) and yes, I'm stating this time for a reason. So time goes on, my father and I finish our beer and all of us are waiting. Waiting is whatever. Sometimes it gets a little annoying, but you are in the hands of the restaurant. Never get mad at the restaurant, they are feeding you, things could be much worse. A good 20 minutes pass along and it is now about 5 minutes past 8:00pm. Our waitress returns. She informs us that "the kitchen stopped taking orders at 8:00pm, so you guys will unfortunately have to order something else". What the fuck? Remember what time I told you we ordered at? Around 7:45, considerably enough time before that 8:00pm cutoff. But such is life, I'm upset, but no reason crying over it. To serve as an upper, we asked the waitress what we COULD order. Pizza she said. Well that's alright! I really wanted a brewdog, but I had heard some pretty good things about YOBB pizza, so looks like not all is lost! So we all order our pizza. Regular stuff. Pepperoni, banana peppers. Nothing out of the blue at all. Pretty standard stuff. So we wait again, wait a little longer, wait a tad bit longer. Then, finally, about 50 minutes pass and we have pizza! It took me about 3 seconds to notice there was something unappealing about this pizza. This pizza that I was practically forced to order because the kitchen wanted to disregard preparing anything else on the menu. It wasn't cooked well, the cheese wasn't melted anywhere on ANY of the pizza. The banana peppers themselves were warmer than the cheese. There was hardly any pepperoni on any of the pizzas at all. This pizza that we waited 50 minutes for. Just utterly disappointing, and the lack of service once we were informed the kitchen was closed was very disappointing as well. ----------------------- There's only two reasons I am giving YOBB at 3/5 (a 3/5 that I do not think they deserve). 1. Outside of everything awful about the first experience I had there, the beer was still VERY good. 2. I did return back a second time with work friends for lunch. The service was yet again extremely mediocre. Super long wait (only one other guest in the restaurant) and a general lack of service. The star achiever was solely due to the fact that the brisket sandwich I had was certainly above average. Easily 8/10 at the least. Well smoked meat, good tasting sauce in perfect proportion, and the fries that complimented that were perfect. ----------------------- YOBB, I cannot speak to if I will be back at some point before I leave this area, but you guys need to make some tweaks. Minor and major. I see potential, but the biggest roadblock is yourselves. Get better service, it will do wonders in the long run. ---------------- Figured I'd throw an edit in to show proof that I have been to YOBB, since the owner seems to think otherwise. I figured the 3/5 was pretty generous considers the circumstances of both of my visits, but maybe I'm wrong. Ok let's start this off with the staff is really nice, but they have changed ownership and menus. They only serve pizzas for food. There were about 15 of us and when they brought our pizza out it was almost cold it was a meat pizza. It was $30 for one 16' pizza that was on a frozen crust and we didn't get alot of meat on our pizza. I have gotten better pizzas at Sam's club. Don't wast your money. Everyone that got pizza was complaining about it was cold and not worth $25-$30 for one pizza. Also one of the guys got a draft beer and 1/2 of it was foam , he couldn't even drink it for 5 mins. I moved to Navarre about 3 years ago to be closer to my parent. They have been regulars at Ye Ole Brothers Brewery since it open and now I am a regular. If you like going to a place where everyone knows your name, this is the place! The staff greets you by name and most of the time is pouring your drink as you are walking in the door. The regulars all talk with one another so it's like a family reunion every week! The owner, Jerry is there every day overseeing the food prep, pizzas and talking with his guests. He listens to any and all feedback from his guests and does his best to make every visit a positive one. All the food and is prepared by hand on site along with his beer, wine and seltzers. Samples are provided upon request so you can try before you buy! Jerry smokes all his meats in is many smokers and you can smell the smokey goodness as you are walking in from the parking lot. They offer outside seating and have a play area for kids so the parents can enjoy themselves while their kids are having fun. Outside seating is also dog friendly. I drove by this craft brewery the last time that I was in Navarre, Florida on business and definitely noticed it, but it was a long day with a longer day promised for the next day, so I opted to instead go to my hotel room and grab a dinner from a nearby Mexican restaurant. On this trip, I found that I had some time to kill and decided to grab a beer at this craft brewery. Let me add that this is a very inviting brewery in appearance. It looks like a great place to hang out at and after enjoying about an hour here (and one of their great beers), I can attest that it is indeed a great place to hang out and they have a great selection of beers to choose from. They let me sample a few of their tasty beers before I settled on their Ye Olde Brothrrs New Horizon Hefeweizen, an excellent hefeweizen that I would definitely recommend to any fan of beer, even more so if you are a fan of hefeweizen beer. Hefeweizen is one of the earliest wheat beers and originated in Germany (a country known for great beer). The others that I sampled were the Hawkish Red Tail Ale, which is a traditional red ale, the Beach Bum Blonde Ale, obviously named for the beach that Navarre Beach, Florida is known for, and their Black Bear Honey Wheat, a wheat beer. While all were very good, the hefeweizen screamed my name and was my ultimate order. The bartender also gave me a sample of their IPA, which I cannot remember the name of, but it was also excellent. They also have a full menu and the pizza looked interesting, at least on the menu. I was there before the dinner rush and most were just drinking beer. Maybe next time (and there will be a next time that I come here), I will try a pizza. Not only was the bartenders friendly, but the clientele were equally as friendly, always a plus. This is a very nice place all around. From the atmosphere to the staff to the customers and, most importantly, the beer, thos is a great place to relax and unwind and enjoy an ice cold beverage. So, I would have to give Ye Olde Brothers Brewery five stars and my strongest of recommendations. If I lived closer, I would be here a lot more (it is about seven hours from my homebase in Orlando, Florida), but when business calls me back here, I will stop at this establishment again. They did mention they have a rotating menu of in house craft made beers, so I will be interested to see what they have to offer on my next trip. They also had a sign advertising a "beer fest." I don't know if it is a yearly thing, but any festival centered around beer sounds like a great time. Check out Ye Olde Brothers Brewery if you find yourself in Navarre, Florida.
