Fried crap
Scott B.

Food is horrible. Fried pickles are cooked in a bed of soggy heavy breading which is more like funnel cake batter and not in a good way. Pull chicken has zero flavor. Burger might as well be a bubba burger. Chicken fingers are frozen. How hard is it to bread your own chicken fingers...guess I should have know by the pickles. Coleslaw came from a can. Ribs were the only edible item and they were a 5/10. How has this place been around for as long as it has???

Convenient location. Happy waitresses. Food was hot. Service was quick. Just an unusual bbq restaurant that sells hunting stuff like pocket knives, gun boxes, boots and such. Barbecue was more vinegary than sweet, but good. Just the right amount to go with my baked sweet potato. Had to take off a star because waitress went to her next task and forgot to get me a fresh ice tea to go. When I got up to the register to ask for her, she came to apologize and got me the tea. But that was waiting for about 5 mins. Oh well, life goes on.

The country folks here are sweet as pie. The decor is awesome and there's even a train going around the whole top border of the restaurant. The food is good too! I give their sweet tea a 7/10 Bc it could've been stronger and sweeter it was a tad watery for my taste. The prices are also very reasonable. We will be back weekly I'm sure!

Great BBQ and people. It's tough to compete in BBQ in this area because there are a number of very good places to eat. This is the best!

Dry, cold and unflavored meats. Terrible experience. Worst restaurant of my life. Hospital food is better, but excellent service.

The restaurant has a laid back vibe, perfect for families and groups. There is plenty of space for even larger groups and I noticed a number of business people enjoying the setup. The pulled pork are standout items, known for their tenderness and rich flavors. The smoking process appears to be a point of pride, with many customers noting the perfect level of smokiness. I also had the smoked cheeseburger which I highly recommend. Sides like mac and cheese, coleslaw, and baked beans complement the meats well. The mac and cheese, in particular, receives rave reviews for its creamy texture. Owens & Hull BBQ stands out for its commitment to quality barbecue in a welcoming environment. Whether you're a local or just passing through Smyrna, it's a spot worth visiting for barbecue lovers.

This spot used to be called something else and from my understanding they merged together. I wasn't a fan of the previous bbq spot but this is ok. As a family, we had ribs, sausage, collards, Mac and cheese, and baked beans. The smoke ring on the ribs was nice; however, there wasn't a great bark on them. I didn't care for any of the bbq sauces. The sausage was ok, it had cheese inside of it. All of the sides were average to good. I like that the platter was served with onions, good pickles, and white bread. That part reminded me of bbq at home. It's pretty easy to order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. We went on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty. I'm guessing they have more lunchtime traffic. I do plan to come back a little earlier so that I can try their wings before they're sold out.
