My vehicle was towed in to Tinley Auto Repair tuesday after an accident. my vehicle was towed to…read morethe bodyshop wednesday, and i received a call that my bodyshop did not receive the keys to my vehicle. I called Tinley Auto Repair wednesday at around 5 pm and they informed me the key was mislabeled as a toyota, when it is a subaru, and that caused confusion. I was understanding about that, and asked about having my key delivered to the body shop. I was told that they would contact my bodyshop and have the key delivered. I visited my bodyshop thursday at around 10 am and was told that Tinley Auto Repair did not contact them yet. i called Tinley Auto Repair and was told that "We are a small shop, and we only have 5 people working here, i dont know when the key can be delivered" to which i understand that, but i was informed my key would be delivered the day by them, and that they were going to contact my bodyshop. she took my number down and told me she would call me back. I called back at 11:30 and gave my name and asked "i am just trying to figure out whats going on" to which the response was "uh, with what?" i asked "when my keys will be delivered" and i was put on hold, and then she came back and explained the situation from the beginning, which she had already explained to me. I asked when my key would be delivered, and she told me "can you stop? i dont know anything about this, i was just informed of this, this morning" when that is not true, i had called the day before and spoke with her and was told my keys would be delivered for me. she rudely told me the keys would be delivered and then hung up, i called my bodyshop and was informed that Tinley Auto Repair was asking them to come pick up my keys, and now suddenly they are a 4 man shop not a 5 man shop?? also they called my bodyshop AFTER i called them at 10 am. i called again at around 2 to confirm my keys were delivered, and i was told yes and then hung up on. thursday, i left a google review stating my experience and the rude customer service. the company responded, with what i feel is a dishonest response. I do appreciate you taking the time to explain how my keys were mislabeled, and that its not your fault! because you know of course its not your fault. but to say that you guys handled everything yourself, and that my bodyshop appreciated you in this is craaaazzzyyyy. and nothing addressing that attitude on the phone.... so if you value any form of customer service or trust, do not come here! or dont get into an accident in tinley park :)

On April 28, 2026, I brought my wife's 2010 VW Beetle in for service at 8am to fix the driver's…read moreside window that would not go all the way down. Around 3pm, I called to see how the work was going, I was told they would call me back. Received a call back that the car was ready for pick-up. The window was fixed no parts needed just a bent regulator in the door panel. When we returned home, we noticed the door panel was NOT installed correctly (SLOPPY WORK) and the top of the window sill had a little grease on it I had to clean with a cloth. I called them back and to let them know the door panel was not installed correctly and would be back in the morning. We returned to Tinley Auto the next morning and the door panel was correctly installed in (10 minutes). On the way home, I stopped for fuel and pushed the gas button on the lower left driver's side door panel, the VW trunk opened. When I pushed the trunk button, the gas door popped opened. SOOOOOOOOOO, I had to call them "AGAIN" and mentioned the wiring wasn't hooked up correctly to the door panel. Drove back to Tinley Auto so they could correctly hook up the wiring to the gas and trunk buttons. I mentioned that they should knock off some money I paid for labor and this aggrivation. I haven't seen any discount for what I paid to get this LOUSY SERVICE! I WOULD NEVER USE TINLEY AUTO AGAIN AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE, THEY DO SLOPPY WORK!

I started going to Chris about 12 years ago. Dealer wanted $1800.00 to fix my car and my brother…read moreintroduced me to Chris, now my brother is a mechanic at his work and told me that he takes all his cars to Chris and that was good enough for me. Besides I rather see the small working man get the money instead of the overcharging big businessman. Chris is busier than all get out but he knew I needed the car so he told me to drop it off and he would try to look at it asap. 3 hours later Chris called me and told me it was a $27.00 part and the job would cost me $115.00 parts, labor all in. Wow, sure go for it soon as you can. He has to get the part first so no idea when it would be done but it's on his list of things to do. About 2 hours later he called, and car was done, Fantastic, same day in and out for a new customer and saved me from getting ripped off by my dealer. Saved me $1685.00. Ever since then he gets all my business and a lot of times I stop by and he takes 5 minutes and a little Chris magic and I am good to go, no charge. Chris is a man that is trying to earn a living rather than getting rich. I trust him completely as well as my sons that started driving. All these years that I have been going to Chris, I have never seen his bay empty. His is always working, even when he talks to me he is still working on a car. He busts his ass for everyone and doesn't break your bank. It's a blessing to know that there are still honest mechanics out there. He doesn't advertise or even have his number on the window. All his customers are word of mouth. I asked once if he thought of fliers for new business, he told me he has more than enough. Can't say enough good stuff about the man. No doubt, best mechanic in the area, He has never failed me or my family. I would give him 6 stars if I could. How many businesses have a solid rating like Chris? Not enough, people could learn from him. Once you go to him for a car problem, he will remember your name and your car. He actually help me find my son's first used car. He knew the person and the car, he said it was a solid deal so we got it and never had a problem with the car yet. My son has no idea how lucky he is. 4 years and still running great. Will not disappoint work wise or price wise. I only wish there were more Chris's in the world. Just can't say enough. Satisfaction Guaranteed, you not only get a honest mechanic, your gain a friend. Thank you to Joe and James for being the kindest car shop I've been to! Sitting in the waiting room I saw the loyalty and love within their business. One lady updated a worker on her daughter getting job, another customer talked with the same employee about birthday parties for their children.. calling people by their first name, having family conversations, and making calls on behalf of your car, sets them apart from any car shop I have been to!

Not only had they relocated, but the estimate I received was shockingly high. The representative even told me the quote wasn't final and that the cost could increase, which raised immediate concerns. I hadn't had the vehicle serviced in over a year because I couldn't find a reputable place to work on my vehicle in the South Suburbs since my place that serviced my vehicles was in Northwest Chicago- too far to drive. I happen to find JNJ and was impressed with the work done. A complete inspection was done, and my bumper was repaired; my brakes were fine, a tune-up not needed, tires were fine. windows just needed lubrication and oil change complete. He gave me maintenance needed scheduled for 11/04/26 to meet manufacturing requirements. I'm happy I've found an honest, skilled and trustworthy team of mechanics to service my Mercedez Benz S-420.
