It did take a while for our food, maybe 15-20 min, and they are short staffed so often they are cooking in their secondary truck and you have to wait to ask for water or a takeaway box. I'm so happy I found this spot. I went down the rabbit hole looking for a good michelada spot and finally found one. The crushed ice and actual michelada sauce is delish! If they ever add grilled shrimp then that would be even more amazing! They have bathrooms on site and shaded area for seating. I love the ambiance of the back yard bbq vibe. This spot is low key with plenty of seating in the front and back and even more parking in the back. The owner and cook are super friendly and accommodating. I would come here with friends for food and no frill drinks after work or on a weekend then walk to the broken arrow for late night jams. I got the bacon burger with a side of sweet potato fries with garlic. The service was great and the server was super tentative on ordering and needing a refill on our beverage. I love the patio to enjoy the meal, but it was a tad bit hot outside. The burger to me Was just very basic as far as the Patti goes and didn't stand out, but still loved trying a new spot and Tracy. Right from the beginning the people who work there made us feel welcome. I had the crispy chicken sandwich my sister had the chicken fritters which are basically like chicken strips and everything was delicious. They checked back with us a couple times to make sure everything was good which it was. Even though the seating is outdoors there is a very large roof over it that blocks the sun and they have ceiling fans in that overhang so the temperature was very comfortable even though it was warm outside. Although I didn't play with them I also saw some giant games like kerplunk and connect four that look like they would be fun if you had either kids or playful adults with you. Haven't been to Johnnys since they have relocated and I'm so happy I found them. The area is located downtown and very nice and chill set up. Johnny's diner used to be a diner on Tracy Boulevard close to Grant line now he's operating out of a trailer down by Central Avenue. I ordered the burger. It wasn't very good. The cook there was sweating all over the place. I wouldn't doubt if some of that sweat ended up in somebody's meal. read more

Duuuude! First off the vibes over there are incredible. Outside seating with a very cool beer tap building where it looked like there were 6+ beers on draft. They do their cooking in the food truck kitchen behind that building and since I brought up the food.. man. I got the classic cheeseburger entree with whole grilled onions, BANGER! I was hungry! My son was hungry! So drove into a lot and spotted Johnny's! We were not disappointed at all! As soon as we walked in we noticed the that this place was as retro as it gets! Bright Red ad Green seating with old school jukeboxes at every table. The walls were filled with pictures from the 50's and maybe 60's! Elvis, Marlyn Monroe, James Dean, John Wayne and shit you know them folks! Lol. The radio was on a station that played 50's Doo Wop n Rock n Roll! Fats Domino Baby! Now a quick line for the service! The guy at the cashier station was super energetic, he made sure everything sounded like it would be the best we ever had! An A for effort, for you got to sell your product! I ordered the Chicken Cheese Steak Sandwich and my son ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger with a Strawberry shake!!! All i know is everything was gone after 30 minutes! I will start by saying my Sandwich although broke apart due to too much chicken and cheese but who cares? It was on SMACK! I've been wanting to try this place out since they were located on the bigger place down 11th st. and finally went in and actually tried it a few days ago. The menu was simple, good diner fare and very straight to the point. I've been craving chili cheese fries with this pregnancy and boy did it deliver and did i say i love diner food. Chili cheese fries- I upgraded my side to it and it didn't disappoint. The chili was very hearty and goes well with the fries and cheese it came with. You can actually taste the spices and it's filling enough that it covered the whole order of fries. They don't skimp on your quantity. Juicy Lucy burger- It was just cheese sandwiched together by two beef patties, not your typical juicy lucy where the cheese is inside the patty itself. It was alright, beef patties were thick and juicy and the cheese melted just right in between them. I devoured it and darn it was all worth those calories. I would love to try other food on their menu when i come back, which will definitely happen soon. The place is small but with a comfy feel, 70's music playing in the background which added to that diner vibe. Server and cook were very friendly and catered to our table continuously.
