My van was out of commission last night, stuck at work. I called and asked for a quote, and then hired them. Within an hour and a half of making the first call my van was home in the driveway. The price was affordable, the customer service was exceptional, the professionalism is something to brag about. I will never call another tow company again. When vehicles need towing its a stressful situation, and my stress was immediately relieved. Thank you for being there during my time of need! They are a racket and scam artists. My daughter was in a collision and Johnny's showed up. The driver told her they couldn't tow to our residence. So they towed to their lot but when I went to pick the car up, they said I couldn't because I'm not a licensed tow truck driver. However, they would tow to our residence for another $200. Customer service was rude and dismissive. The guy in the office actually had the temerity to say, "We try to help people out..." Quite a racket they have going because unfortunately most of the time you don't get to choose who comes to the scene of the accident. read more

My car was towed and when i went to retrieve my vehicle, many things were taken out of my car and they say they didnt take items from my car when I know they did. I had bbq charcoal, bbq equipment, car cleaning equipment all taken from my cars trunk over the weekend it sat there... terrible people read more

Love Johnny's!! Have had to use them twice and really happy with both experiences. However the phone number listed is not their number....

Every time I've called, none of the people who have answered did so with the name of the business or their own name. Just an abrupt "Hello." leaving me to go "Er, is this Johnny's?" When I asked someone's name, they grudgingly provided it after some silence, and when I asked their last name they said "Why do you want to know?" Every time I called they would answer my immediate question and hang up. Always seemed in a rush like having a customer was a big hassle. When I asked to speak to a manager because I was tired of being treated that way, he was very put-upon for having to speak to me. "Listen Lady, Come on, I've listened to you complain, what more do you want?" They didn't have the time to explain fees except when I demanded it, and the whole time it was like I was wasting their time. Um, it's my money, I think I deserve to know. I told Randy the woman I spoke to was rude, and he's like, "Yeah, I'll have a conversation with her," but followed it with "there are two sides to every pancake." He clearly didn't care. When I asked that he do something to improve his customer service he asked me what I wanted. I requested an apology letter. He said "Apologizing for what?" Clearly he had forgotten that he said he would talk to his rude employee! Where I come from, manners and courtesy aren't a thing of the past, but I guess for Johnny's Wrecker, it's too much trouble. Another shop wanted $1800 to replace my oil pan, but Johnny's just retreaded the hole and put a new screw. Simple logic, paid $180. They also topped all my fluids. Strongly recommend these good people. read more

Just my luck that I'd get a flat, but Fiat Roadside assistance got me in touch with Johnny's Wrecker service in no time. While I did have to wait longer than I would have hoped, John Durken (sp?) was a very kind and accommodating tow driver. Getting a flat and having to get towed is always a sort of crappy experience, but John made light of the situation by commenting on my cute little car and how cool it was that I drive standard. I appreciated his candor and would absolutely recommend him to anyone in the city. My only gripe, thought small, was that I hoped the woman on the phone I spoke with from Johnny's had told him exactly what I told her in hopes for a more expeditious tow. But meh, my car is at the dealer safe and sound. Thank you John for making the end of my day still prove to be great. read more

You might waste your time with these guys. Run a business nearby and have used them a few times.These guys like to cherry pick jobs. They only want the short local tows even though they charge outrageous prices for any tow. Have called them at least a dozen times over the last year, and they've only towed a few that are close by. Always an excuse as to why they can't tow. Drive by the place often and see several trucks just sitting there. We try and support other local businesses but can't keep wasting time with these guy's. Find a friendlier tow service that actually wants your business. read more

USAA arranged for Johnny's Wrecker Service to tow my disabled Ford Explorer from our home to a local tire shop today. Text confirmation from Johnny's said they would be at the house at 9:31am, and they actually arrived at 9am. The wrecker driver, Keith, worked quickly to load my Explorer and then took me with him to the tire shop. Keith was professional, efficient, and really just a nice guy. One signature from me to verify the tow service was done, and all was well. Needing a tow is never fun, but Johnny's Wrecker Service, and Keith, made it as easy and convenient as possible. I'd definitely use them again. read more

Never showed up. Had to call a different towing company. I'd recommend avoiding Johnny's Wrecker Service. Dependability is a big deal to.

Worst service ever...for a lack of better words. Our vehicle broke down mid afternoon less than one mile from the wrecker services location. Our insurance company called and requested a tow and they accept the job. Two hours later they called and cancelled the pick-up and now the repair shop is closing. No business ethics for Johnny's Wrecking Service...definitely a DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Update on my awful and unprofessional experience at Johnny's garage. So after getting my truck fixed at B&S garage in less than 20 min, B&S reset the codes and BAM my brake and blinker light worked! They discovered that my windshield wipers were not working because the fuse was missing. So long story short, Johnny's took the fuse out while looking at it and never put it back in. The body control module was never the issue. I called Johnny's to inform them of what the correct issue was so that in the future they would not try and charge a customer $725 for a body control module when the issue had nothing to do with that. I also requested that they refund the $92 they charged me to look at it since they ended up causing more issues that had to be repaired. Johnny informed me that I would have to talk to the owner for that and that she was out until Monday. I was told I would receive a call back Monday and never did. I called Wed the 20th of July to inquire about the status and the owner was very rude. Told me her mechanic didn't touch my fuses and that I just need to get over it. I informed her that I was out there the whole time watching and that I saw him pulling fuses on the inside of my truck that were causing the entire truck to turn off, and her response to the was "Well you shouldn't have had your little behind out there to begin with, and you should follow the rules" Well Johnny was out there several times and never said anything to me about being out there and I was never told of the "rules" her mechanic actually thanked me for giving him a "good view." The conversation with the owner was foul and unprofessional and she absolutely refused to listen or even take responsibility for what her shop had done. She hung up on me after I told her the conversation was being recorded. You can tell by the previous reviews and ratings that I am obviously not the only one who has experienced such unprofessional service. I would never recommend anyone take their vehicle here for any reason. read more

Great customer service! Fast and efficient with retrieving my car. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Would give less than one star but it's not possible. Last year we went to get our vehicle inspected and were told it needed a complete brake job including rotors. They were worn out so we went ahead and got the work done. We happily drove around including out of town trips and taking our granddaughter out for nearly 6 months. Then we take the vehicle in for a maintenance check to the dealership. While there, we asked that they check the brakes which squeaked a little and told them they were new brakes. We assumed it was something else and it would be covered under the extended warranty. Imagine our surprise and shock when we got a call saying that the front brakes had been installed BACKWARDS!!! That was 577 at Johnny's Garage and the additional 133.95 at the dealership (actually we got ripped off at Johnny's BTW). After the owner was contacted, he refused to speak to the attorney but instead sent a check for 100.00!! He should at least have paid for the new brake job and not charged a penny for the work done incorrectly. I read the other 2 reviews on here. At first, I thought the same thing but after our experience with this place I would tell all to STAY AWAY!!!!! We have a statement from the dealership to back up what we are stating on here. read more

Steer clear!! These guys are crooks! They towed my car after a bad accident because the police needed to get the car off the freeway and called them. They only gave me a partial price for their services and never informed me of the entire cost of towing and storage. They charged me through the roof to get my car back!! After my experience at this place today I will never go here again or recommend them. I took my truck over there for an inspection today. They failed it and stated that my emergency brake didn't hold and needed to be adjusted they offered to fix it for 40-100 because they said they didn't know what was going to be wrong until they got in there to look at it. Not being an idiot I drove right up the street to my regular shop and told them I was failed for this reason. I asked for his quote on the "WORK" that was needed to get my vehicle to pass inspection. He put the brake on and revved the engine and the brake held. He told me nothing was wrong with this brake and my vehicle shouldn't have failed inspection. I called and advised Johnny's garage that they had the option of refunding my card for the $7.00 charge or I would file a dispute thru my bank and file a complaint through the BBB for their incompetence. They refused and demanded me take the truck back so they could fail it again and report the place that rightfully passed my vehicle. I told them there was not a chance that my vehicle would ever be brought back to that shop in a million years. FEMALES beware of this shop. Me and my husband went here last year together for the inspection and the vehicle passed. I have heard many other bad things about this business best advice is to stay away. read more

worst ever! people lie to you and never show up! pep boys contracted them to tow my truck to their shop. technician called me at 11:45 and said he would pick my vehicle up in 30 mins. at 2:00pm i called pep boys to check on my repairs and the truck was not there. i called the number the technician called me from and a young lady answered and told me it would be 30 mins. the automated follow up from 1-800-pep-bpys called and i selected that the service had not been completed. i called shortly by a pep boys rep and she checked with johnny's and they told her it would be 30 minutes. 15 minutes later pep boys calls me back and says johnnys informed them that no one had yet been sent!!!!! so i had to start the proceedure over again and wait for another towing service!!! when i called johnnys directly and asked for their manager, he tried to get out of it by saying that the vehicle was left alone and they had other emergencies. i tried to explain to him that with the vehicle not at the shop when promised i would not have my vehicle back for the weekend, and his response was why not the shop is open till 7:00? is he know the manager at the service shop? are they holding off other work to wait when the king of towing decides to take them my truck? poor way to do business. do not do business there as i definitely will not be doing!!!!!! read more
