This place is a gem, truly a place that the south suburbs should be proud to have. Johnny takes pride in his establishment and he engages the customers who visit. He's such a humble man and I'm so glad that he appreciates his customers. My favorite meal is The Cowboy (American style). I am convinced that God Himself delivered this sandwich from heaven for us to partake in. This blessing is a 16oz sirloin covered in mushrooms & carmelized onions, along with A1 served on garlic bread. I've tried other items on the menu and I can't think of anything that I didn't like. I have been going to the wee nee wagon for years for lunch but never tried there newly specialty pizzas. After seeing so many posts on Facebook about this pizza I had to try it. had the chicken Philly pizza with 4 cans of pop and dessert for a price that was untouchable by any other pizza places out there. my first time ordering this pizza I didn't think it would be enough to feed my family so I ordered some extra food just incase. when I was given the pizza at the door I couldn't believe the weight of this pizza. this chicken Philly was packed with ingredients and the cheese they use really made this pizza!!! this was by far the best pizza I've ever had. we always ordered our pizzas from kenootz but we have been looking for a new pizza place in the area since kenootz has been screwing up our orders and the pizzas were coming burnt and all the cheese shifted to one side like the delivery guy was just tossing our pizza around. definitely would never order from there or any other pizza place after trying these fully loaded pizzas. we have been ordering from johnny's for the past month trying each of there specialty pizzas. there all excellent but the chicken Philly is my personal favorite. keep up the good work guys. read more

Has gone way downhill now, 14 minutes for 4 hotdogs. Hotdogs were cold, asked for no onions on one...got onions. Buns were hard and stale. I ve heard a lot about the wild bill and even saw it on Chicago's Best. Finally in the area and got to try it. Great flavor! My only problem was to many chucks of pork that were to tough to eat. If the pork would have been more tender this sandwich would rule. I will go back and try again when I am in the area and hope the pork will be better. Stopped by and ordered the chicken gyros, appears to be nothing more then a cut up grilled chicken breast, with large onion slices and tomatoes with some unknown sauce on a grilled pita, should be called a grilled chicken on pita bread not a gyro, real gyro meat comes of a rotating spit and is sliced into those mouth watering strips, even worse they didn't put any napkins in the to go bag. read more

The gyros are the best ever, I had the Johnny's Gyros with feta, EXCELLENT!! My daughter had the chili cheese dog and loved it, my granddaughter who had the chili and cheese from the hot dog loved that and she's 10 months old!! She just kept Mmmm, Mmmm the whole time she was tasting!! My other granddaughter had the cheese dog and inhaled that!! She stated the fries were really good and she's a picky eater!! I used to go to this place in the 70's and 80's. Wow this is not the same place. The entire place needs to be cleaned from top to bottom. My food (a beef sandwich) was served to me with a large blonde hair in it. I told the cook and he offered me another sandwich from the same container the hair just came from. I told him to just make me a hamburger. The menu said it would be a handmade burger, just like I remembered from my childhood. Instead I was served an overcooked frozen burger. This place was terrible, just as a side note, there was a bum hanging ourside when I lett that was begging for money. Overall a very pool experience and I will not be returning. read more

Food was kind of inconsistant. Depending on who's making your food you may or may not get your hot dog the way you ordered it. Food has been just jammed in the bag serveral times I've come in, not very attractive. On several occasions the french fries have been partially cooked and soggy. Unfortunately, I carry out so I'm already at home or at work by the time I discover this. Food can be good at times. I've waited a long time for food during the week. I have been a customer and a fan of Johnny's Wee Nee Wagon (formerly Willie's Weenie Wagon) for more than 40 yrs. now. However, recently I drove over 10 miles with family members to get our favorite cheeseburgers and was disappointed to find that while they are changing the facade, they have also changed the cheeseburger. It is smaller, does not have a whole slice of sweet onion and tomato, as it used to have, and had an entirely different kind of bun. Although, it was good, it was NOT as good as it has been for decades before. We were disappointed. I know times are hard but a little less attention to all the improvements to the lot/structure and more attention to what got them there in the first place will go a long way. Not sure I'll drive that distance again for an AVERAGE cheeseburger. read more

ive eaten at johneys wee nee wagon and was surprised that it was not called willies. i met my realtor there when i was buying a house in the area and he told me the whole story about how willie started out with a wagon and worked his way up to the building. i could swear i could see a part of the wagon out in front along the north side of the building in the grass. i recently discovered willies wee nee wagon on the southest corner of oak park ave and 167th street in tinley park behind the mobil gas station but have yet to go in and look for willie himself. read more

Stopped in here for the first time since it changed from Willie's (which was great). We ordered 1 brat, 1 regular hot dog and one jumbo dog, medium fries and 1 drink, 1 water. Waited almost 20 minutes for our order while others that came in after us were served and out the door! It was obvious that the girl that took our order hates her job, not a smile or thank you! Deadpan!!! When we received our order (with apologies for the wait) we took it outside to the picnic area. Had to slop through muddy water to get there and all the tables were still wet, no one bothered to go wipe them off. 2 tables in the sun were dry so we sat at one of those. BTW it had rained the day before and this was noon the following day after the rain! Well order was wrong, Reg. dog has wrong toppings and was cold! Brat bun was stale and fries were small order when we paid for medium. Took it back, got a new reg. dog with right toppings (but still cold) and was told by girl who hates her job that that WAS medium fries (not!). First off, I would like to say that this establishment makes a pretty good hamburger overall. With that being said, the misleading image or should I say advertising of an all beef hotdog which is an upcharge on the price is just ridiculous and disappointing. Anyone that is a true hotdog fan, and especially a Chicago style hotdog fan knows what I Vienna beef hotdog taste and look like. To make matters worse during this hotdog experience, the way it was prepared was not up to standard at all. Fancy style cut tomatoes, poppy seed bun that was not streamed, and last but not least, a pale, non-flavor, Luke-warm, beef/pork/chicken hotdog! Are you kidding me? And you had the nerve to put an upcharge on this so called Chicago style beef hotdog! I am a SENIOR CITIZEN and "took a chance" on their tempting ad for "BBQ pulled pork". I was taking it to go. When I got to my destination I opened the white box and was eager to sample the meat. SHOCKING - little pork "squares" that were HARD and burned at both ends of the "square"! I thought pulled pork was soft and easy to eat. NOT THIS CRAP! AND $8 FOR A SENIOR citizen to spend - I was tempted by their ad and took a chance. I saved the receipt and went back to ask for a refund - I WAS RUDELY TOLD THERE ARE NO REFUNDS, EVEN THO I HANDED "THE GUY" THE INTACT DISGUSTING SANDWICH TO SHOW HIM HOW TOUGH AND BURNED IT WAS. He (whoever HE WAS - young guy 40's-50's). Tall blond. If he is the OWNER, shame on him! He's lucky I am white....I don't make a fuss or burn the flag..He offered a different sandwich but the time was passed that I was eating and I refused. Now I was afraid to try another "maybe" good sandwich. What a disappointment. I will tell my friends who live in the area to forget going there and I will never darken their doorstep tho I pass by all the time. How anyone could have said he is a good "owner" NOT!!!!! $8 is a LOT of money to me, being on a limited income. Seniors getting screwed in every way.
