My review is being written totally unsolicited by anyone at Johnny's Window Cleaning. Company's tend to get feedback where complaints are concerned but having been in sales and service my entire life, it is just as important that a company gets back well deserved positive feed back which is why I am writing this post. I used Johnny's for the first time on April 12th to clean my apartment windows in mid-town Manhattan on the 35th floor. My experience was most positive with no complaints what so ever. I have appreciation for good service and that is what they delivered. The workers who came to do the job were neat and efficient with their work cleaning the windows both on the inside and out. Excellent customer service all around at a reasonable price! I would not hesitate for a moment to use this company again and am confident sharing this referral and review. read more

I don't quite get the bad reviews. Maybe it is because people like me never post good reviews. I moved into a hi rise on east 72nd Street in 1988. I have been using Johnny's to clean seven really large aluminum windows about twice a year for 34 years. The price has gone up a lot but I am always happy with how my windows look when they are finished. The guys have always shown up on time, often early. I just used them last week and my windows look perfect. read more

Prices have nearly doubled in two years time. Even with the cost of inflation this is greedy and outrageous. Add to that the fact that management is terribly rude and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere to someone who values you as a customer and won't fleece you. read more

I would never use this company again. Not only were the windows still dirty, but the customer service was horrendous. I never received an invoice for the services, and when they finally followed up a year later, they threatened to turn me over to a collections agency, when in reality, they had never sent me an invoice in the first place. Then they blamed me for not following up with them about the invoice. I'm appalled. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. They were recommended through our building service team, but after calling and leaving several voicemails they proved to be nearly impossible to reach. Eventually someone did answer, but alas, they had poor reception and we were unable to have a conversation. Save yourself the frustration and go with NY Window Cleaning, as we did. read more

I concur with the other reviewer's assessment of this business. They somehow got good reviews on the Franklin Report Card but that seems suspicious to me since the actual reviewers' identities are not disclosed. We called them for window cleaning and asked them to get us a COI ASAP because our building has very strict requirements and we didn't want to be told that Johnny's insurance limits were insufficient (Johnny's couldn't confirm their limits to us beforehand, either). After numerous email and phone follow-ups over a 2 week period, they still did not send a COI. Our appointment was on Monday. On Friday I called to follow up again. They said the COI would be delivered that evening. It was not. I called on Saturday, when they are open but nobody picked up. They did not send the COI until the morning of the job. It was just a stroke of luck that their COI happened to be sufficient. But then when they came to do the job, they could only complete half of it because they did not bring the right size ladder to clean the outside windows--even though they had come to the premises weeks before and thus knew what size ladder to bring. Their excuse was that a tree next to the building grew so much (in the 2-3 weeks between their initial visit and the cleaning appointment, mind you), that it necessitated a longer ladder. Really? So they re-scheduled the outside work for the following week. They did not show up on the scheduled day. They eventually came during the weekend to do the outside windows. Inexplicably, they left one window completely untouched, and they missed several spots on other windows. They claimed that this one out of 15 windows was the only one that was not cleanable because it needed acid treatment, which would be an additional cost. Yet they did not even try to clean that window normally, so how would they know that acid treatment was required? Seems highly suspicious to us. We have been calling to get this situation looked at , and the missed spots taken care of, but each time we call they they say they will get back to us and they never do. So, in short, the service is completely unprofessional and we are terribly dissatisfied. read more

I like the service and workers but I have concerns. Worker not using harness. Recommend he do so. Will not use again unless safety harness used. Primary concern is safety but it's a potential liability nightmare for apt owner if the worse case scenario occurred. read more

WORST company EVER!!!! I gave one star but they don't even deserve that. My elderly mother made an appointment with them and after they called to reschedule it they had the nerve to charge her an additional $42 because it wasn't on Wednesday. They claimed that Wednesday is their discounted day for the individuals living in his building. We explained to the workers that we were not told about this and gave them a check for the original amount quoted. They said they would talk to their manager and I called as well. Today my mom received a bill in the mail for the additional amount. When I called the manager was extremely nasty, rude, disrespectful and flat out lied and said she knew nothing about this. I asked to speak with someone else and she refused to direct me to anyone else. She then told me to pay and was finished speaking to me. (Additionally the workers did not do a through job and we had to ask them to redo a few windows because they were rushing to get thru the job).DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! read more
